Unit 11 What do you think of game shows?Section A (1a-1c)Liu Yan Tai Ping Middle School Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I’m from Tai Ping Middle School .Our school has been reforming since last year. In the new classes, teachers speak a little but students do a lot .And it is warmly welcomed by students. So today I’m very glad to come here to share my teaching designs and ideas with you. My topic is Unit11 What do you think of game shows? SectionA from 1a to 1c.According to 5P Teaching Mode,I’m going to talk about this lesson in 6 parts.OK, let’s begin with Part1, Analysis of Teaching Material. I devide it into 3 parts. First, let me say “Teaching Content Analysis”. This unit is to give opinions and talk about likes and dislikes. In this lesson, the students will learn some new words , phrases and sentence structures. They must grasp them because they are not only the consolidation of Unit 11, but also an extension of students’ ability.Then, I want to say “Teaching Aims”.First, Knowledge Aims. In this lesson, students will learn some words and phrases: soap opera, stand, mind and so on. And they will learn some important sentence structures: What do you think of …? I love …,I don’t mind …, I can’t stand …and so on.Next, Ability Aims:In this lesson, students will learn to use the target languages to listen and speak.So I’ll mainly develop students’ abilibies of listening and speaking.Next, Emotional Aims:Since the students will learn some phrases about TV shows,I’ll catch thechance to tell the students to enjoy the TV shows.Then, let’s see “Important and Difficult Points.”I think, in this lesson, grasping the new words and phrases and talking about likes and dislikes with the target languages are important. Of course, how to use the target languages to talk about likes and dislikes freely is difficult.OK, that’s all for Part 1. Let’s talk about Part 2, Anglysis of the students. As a teacher, I deeply know that, if I want to teach my students well, I must know them first. For Grade 7 students, they have learnt English for less than a year. So they only have a little background knowledge. And they are weak in speaking and listening. But in this lesson, the topic is related to the students’ daily life. So the students will be interested in this topic,they will be active in class.Now, let’ come to Part 3, Analysis of Teaching and Learning Method.Based on English New Course Standard and the course reforms, I devide my students into 8 groups. There are 6 members in each group.We can call it “the Six-people Group”. So, in this lesson, I’d like to use Learner-centered Teaching and Task-based Language Teaching method, I’ll arrange different activities such as, make a survey and so on. In class, students will study by themselves and work in groups to finish the tasks. And in order to make my lesson lively and interesting, I will also use Multy-media Teaching method to arouse the students’ interest.Well, I’ll mainly talk about Part 4, Teaching Procedures.There are 5 steps about it.Step 1 PreparationFirst, greet the students as usual with “How are you?”“Nice to meet you !”and so on.And then ask the students to talk freely by asking “What do you usually do on weekends”? When the students answer“I usually watch TV on weekends,”I will catch the chance to go on asking “What kind of movies do you like?”From doing this,we can lead to the new lesson naturally. Here, the teacher is an introductor.Step 2 PresentationAfter warming up,in order to learn some words and phrases, I’ll present some pictures about “soap opera, sitcom, talk show and sports show”on the screen. First ask the students to read the words and phrases by themselves. The teacher can give them some help if necessary.Then ask the leaders of some groups to teach the words and phrases again.The rest of the students read after them.After that ,I will ask No.3 of each group to show themselves by asking“What kinds of TV shows are they?”From Task1, we can check the students if they grasp the new words and phrases. Here, the teacher is a checker.After that, I’ll show a picture of game shows to present the sentence structures:A:What do you think of game shows?B:I love/ like/ don’t mind / can’t stand them.In this step, I’ll use the Multi-media to show some pictures, so the students can learn them very directly and easily, In this step,the role of the teacher is a guide.Step 3 Practice (Task2 Work in groups)After presentation, I will show some pictures to ask the students to practice the sentence structures:“What do you think of …?I love/ like/ can’t stand….”In this step, there will be more opportunities for students to enjoy the class. All the students take part. They practice in their own groups, the students can help each other. Each leader can check their members.From Task2,the students will learn some sentence structures. In this step, the role of the teacher is an organizer.Next, ask the students to look at their books and finish 1a. No.6 in each group can show their answers on the blackboard.After the students finish 1a, ask them to look at 1b and get ready to listen to the tapes and finish 1b.In order to form a good listening habit, first let the students look at the pictures carefully before listening. I think this skill will help the students get good grades. In this step, I will play the tape twice.Play the tape once, ask the students to write letters.Play the tape again,ask the students to check the answers by themselves. Last, No 5. in each group show their answers to check.Step 4 Production (Task3 Practice in pairs)After listening, in order to give the students more speaking practice,I’ll show some more pictures. They can practice like this:A: What do you think of…?B: I love/ like/ can’t stand…A: Why?B: Because…In each group, they have my pictures, they can practice in pairs.Then the representative of each group show them.When the students have a good performance, I’ll praise in time. When the students make mistakes, I’ll encourage them and give them some help.From Task3,the students will grasp the sentence structures. In thisstep,the role of the teacher is a“listener” and a “joiner”.After that, I’ll ask the students to make a survey.The leader of each group will ask the other students: “What do you think of……”and fill in the form. After filling the form, ask them to give a report like this: Lucy likes soap operas. She loves sitcoms. But she doesn’t mind talk shows.…In this step, the students will use the target languages to finish this task. The aim of this part is learning by doing. And it also gives each student an opportunity to communicate and cooperate with others. From Task4, the students will use the target languages to do something in real life .I think it’s very important.Step5 ProgressWhen we teach here, we can give a short summary.I will ask some students to talk about what they have learnt in this class. I will add something if necessary. This step can help the students to consolidate and summarize what they have learnt.Next, I will ask the students to do some English exercises . I will ask them to discuss first, and then show their answers in front of the whole class. I think it’s a better way to study. Because the students can learn from each other through discussion.As for learning plan,I’ll ask the students to write a short passage after they ask their parents what they think of the TV shows.I think the learning plan can help the students to revise what they have learnt. Practice makes perfect whether in class or after class.Part 5 is about my blackboard designThis is my blackboard design. I put all the new words on the left of the blackboard, and the sentences are in the middle. So that the students can see clearly and understand easily.The last part is Part 6 PredictionIn this lesson, the students will be active.They will learn some words, phrases and useful sentence structures. And they will be able to use the target languages to talk about their likes and dislikes. I think their abilities of listening and speaking will be improved. Of course, in this class, maybe some students can’t understand “soap opera”and “sitcom”. If so, I will encourage them to look for some information about them on the Internet before class or after class. 首先激发学生学习本文的兴趣,然后引导学生美读散文,在读的过程中思考提出的疑问,最终在教师适当的点拨、归纳、小结中赏析课文,理解本文中作者的感情。
2、采用多媒体等电教手段,扩大教学容量。
在教学中,我采用了多媒体等电教手段来丰富教学手段,扩大了教学容量;这样既吸引学生注意,激发学习热情,又经过直接感知,促进知识的理解和巩固,贴合教育学中的自觉性、直观性原则。
三、学法指导教学是教师和学生的双边活动,我遵循"教师为主导,学生为主体,质疑为主线"的教学思路进行学法的指导,采用了主体思维法、小组讨论法及反馈练习法。
在指导过程中,先调动学生参与课堂学习的进取性,然后根据一系列紧扣教学的问题,使学生自主地思考、分析、讨论,从而解决问题,并在课文赏析后完成课后问题进行巩固。

一、教材分析
1.教材地位
本节内容选自人民教育出版社出版的义务教育课程标准实验教科书《数学》七年级上册第一章第二节第一课时,属于数与代数领域的知识。
在此之前,学生已经学习了算术数,认识了无限不循环小数,正数与负数,这为过渡到本节的学习起着铺垫作用。
本节课所处的位置,是继小学之后
数的范围的第一次扩充,是算术数到有理数的衔接与过渡,并且是以后学习数轴,相反数,绝对值以及有理数运算的基础。
它是整个初中数学知识中起承上启下作用的核心知识之一。

本节课作为概念课,有理数的概念是教学重点,难点在于对数分类的标准及按照定的标准进行分类,掌握有理数的本质属性是关键,其理论依据是奥苏贝尔的认知同化学习理论。

二、说教学方法
教法选择与教学手段:作为一节概念课,根据认知学习理论,采用指导探究法进行教学,主要通过两个师生双边活动:动---师生互动,共同探索。
导---实例引导复习,旧知识的梳理,新知识的建构。
根据学生实际情况,整堂课围绕“情景问题---学生体验---合作交流---主动建构”模式。
利用课件辅助教学,增大教学容量和直观性。
学法:学生通过老师的引导和自主探究对“数”进行疏导及转化分类,形成有理数的概念,建构相关心里图式。

三.教学过程
在分析过程,确定教学目标,合理选择教法与学法的基础上,我设想的教学过程是:

本环节通过生活实例引导学生回忆,复习小学学习的“数”的过程,调动并帮助学生梳理对“数”的知识储备,从而理清各种非负数的区别和分类,同时复习上节课负数的定义,引导学生对负数进行类似分类。
以此重现系数扩充的过程,为新课对数系的再次扩充做铺垫和准备。
出示目标
首先是写出以前学过的那些数,并将之前学过的数一一按顺序写下来,让学生对已学过的数重新细化梳理,之后通过回顾小学对小数化为分数的方法和步骤引导学生进行类比,然后将学过的整数和分数进行分类,这是学生掌握有理数本质属性的教学活动,而通过直观的花括号分类,让学生的思维更清晰,印象更深刻。
提出概念
教师可在这时候引入有理数的概念名称,使学生建立起对有理数的概念的联系,从而实现奥苏贝尔的有意义学习。
强化巩固
学习一个概念后巩固强化必不可少。
对于例题的设计:具体例子引导学生进行不同方法分类,进而以此,归纳有理数的几种不同分类标准,使学生掌握分类思想;在具体例子的基础上,通过概念判断题的练习,查漏补缺,反馈教学,进一步辨清概念;作业---必做题,巩固基础知识;选做题,拓宽思维,培养对数学的兴趣,增强数学素养。
讲解完有理数,提出数集的概念,并让学生各种数组成的不同数集。
练习探讨
通过练习,让学生探讨,并找学生起来做练习题,达到进一步巩固新知。
