大写Japan指“日本〞;小写japan指“日本式漆器〞。

大写John指“约翰〞;小写john指“厕所〞。

大写Turkey 指“土耳其〞;小写turkey指“火鸡〞。

不少单词似是而非,千万不要望文生义,而误入陷阱。如:

one-two 是“拳击中连击两次〞,而不是一种“一二〞。

Two-time是“对人不忠〞,而不是一种“两次〞。

In two twos是“立刻〞,而不是一种“两两之间〞。

Three-score是“六十〞,而不是一种“三分〞。
