1What are the advantages and shortcomings of the car?
I like cars because some cars are beautiful. And the seats of the car are soft and
comfortable. Cars have air-conditioners, so it is warm in winter and cool in summer.
But cars also have some shortcomings. For example, cars pollute the environment
because they use petrol, and they always run into traffic jams too.
2 What do you think about the public transportation?
I like to take the public transportation because it is environmentally-friendly, and
sometimes they are very fast. Another reason is the bus tickets are very cheap for
students. But it also has a lot of shortcomings. There are many people on the bus or
the subway in the rush hours, so it is very crowded. I think some bus drivers are very
rude and they drive too fast, and it is dangerous for passengers.
3 Do you like to take a plane?
Yes, I do. I like it because it is fast. I also prefer to see clouds in the sky. The service on
the plane is good too. But when the plane is taking off or landing, you will feel
uncomfortable. Once I went to Shanghai by plane, my ears ached when the plane took
off. I felt bad.
4 Do you like travel by train?
No, I don’t like it because we can’t eat free food on it, and we have to buy foods and
drinks. Sometimes it is dirty on the train. It is also very hard to buy the tickets during
the festivals, especially during the Spring Festival. I prefer travelling by plane,
because it is fast and I can eat the food and drinks for free. But the train tickets are
cheaper than the plane tickets, so many people like to travel by train. Maybe it is safer
than the plane because it runs on the ground.
5 What are the merits and the shortcomings of the ship? Do you like it?
No, I don’t like it because I think it is slow. When you take it for the first time, you
may get seasick and you will feel very bad. I think it’s not safe either because it is on
the river or sea. But it is said that the food on the cruise ships are delicious. Cruise
ships are very big and can carry many people, but the tickets are expensive.
6 Do you like ride a bike?
Yes, I do. I prefer riding a bicycle very much. Because when I ride a bicycle, I feel very
excited and cool. My father and I rode to the Olympic Stadium last summer. I think
it’s fantastic, but both of us felt tired. Many people ride a bike because it is easy to
park and never run into the traffic jam. If you ride for a long time, you will feel tired,
just like me.
7 What do you think of the traffic in Beijing?
To tell the truth, I think it is terrible. Because There are too many cars, so it is easy to
run into traffic jams, especially in rush hours. It is too crowded on the buses and the
subway because there are too many people. Some drivers often break traffic rules, such as
parking cars in wrong places, driving after drinking, and driving when they’re tired and
sleepy. But during the Spring Festival, I find the traffic is very good. There are not so
many cars on the streets. I know the reason is people don’t go to work and school, and
many people drive back to their hometown.
