could/couldn’t 常用于过去时态的句子中,其后接动词原形。
如:He couldn't send emails four years ago. 四年前,他不会发电子邮件。
注意:couldn’t = could not ,02.Now he can do many things. 现在他会做许多事情。
(教材P36)can 为情态动词,后接动词原形,其过去式为could。
在将含有can的句子改为否定句时,在其后加否定词not;改为一般疑问句时,将can提到句首,句末用问号。
如:Liu Tao can play basketball. 刘涛会打篮球。

(教材P36)write letters to...意为“写信给·····”,也可以省略letters 直接写成write to...。
write的过去式为wrote。
例句I am writing to my pen friend. 我在给我的笔友写信。
