教学过程 集体教研 Step 1. Review and leadin.

Play the word game. Say the Chinese meanings of the words they see.

Show some words one by one to help Ss have a revision.

Then provide a mindmap on the screen. Ask Ss to talk about “the travel to Singapore”.

Step 2. Prewriting.

1. Talking.

Give more examples to talk about different cities

T: The world is beautiful!Let's go and explore! What do you consider before traveling?

T: Have you ever been to Shanghai?

T: Where is Shanghai?

T: What do you think of it?

T: Do you know more about Beijing?

Provide some sentence structures to lead Ss talk about Beijing.

S1: There are many places of interest, such as.../...is one of the most...places to visit in Beijing.

S2: There are lots of delicious food, such as...Of all the food,...is the most popular.

S3: The best time to travel to Beijing is...or.../It’s neither...nor...

……

2. Making a list.

Ask Ss to finish 3a on their own and make a list of facts about their hometown or a place they

have been to. Then share their information with partners.

Step 3. Whilewriting.

1. Checking.

Read the instruction in 3b. Analyze the writing instruction w. Appreciate the examples.

Have you ever been to Beijing? Beijing is our capital(首都) with a long

history. It’s a beautiful and modern city that has a large population. It’s located in(坐落于)

the northern part of China. It attracts(吸引) many tourists both at home and abroad to

visit/ pay a visit every year.

There are lots of unusual places there. As far as we know, the Great Wall is one

of the greatest wonders in the world. It’s the longest wall and Badaling is the most famous

part. I believe it’s really a good choice(选择) to visit. And if you are interested in history,

you can go to the Palace Museum. There were so many

treasures in it. We can learn a lot about Chinese culture from these places. As for food,

Beijing Duck is the most popular. It is so fantastic.What’s more, the weather in Beijing is

quite different in four seasons, so you can enjoy the beauty of it in different times/periods.

All in all, Beijing is such a wonderful and attractive place that it is worth

visiting. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it as soon as you get to know it.

2. Writing an outline.

With the teacher’s help, analyze the tense, the person, text type of the passage and the

information points they will write.

Try to draw their own outline.

After drawing the outline, write a passage based on it. 10 minutes will be given.

Step 4. Postwriting.

After Ss finish writing, let them have a selfcheck for 3 minutes.

Pick out one or two examples to evaluate in class.

Step 5. Self check.

Finish the self check part.

Report their answers and talk about their reasons
