二、当前英语写作中存在的主要问题(一)对英语写作的畏惧心理。
这是初中学生初次进行英语写作时普遍存在的心理现象。
多数学生在小学进行语文写作时就感到头痛,现在又要进行英语写作真是雪上加霜,更使他们产生了畏惧心理。
其实他们并不知道初次英语写作并不难,与汉语写作比,内容要求低;与说英语比,速度要求慢,而且还有现成课文供模仿。
(二)阅读量少,无内容可写。
小学生在刚进行汉语写作时已背了很多古诗,听了大量的故事,学唱了许多儿歌,认识了数百个汉字,即使这样,他们在初写作文时,也觉得无内容可写。
与汉语写作相比,他们进行英语写作的信息实在太少,常常为写一篇英语短文而苦思冥想,但巧妇难为无米之炊,因为缺乏一定的阅读量,他们的这种无奈也就不可避免。
(三)教师重视和引导不够。
在提高初中学生英语写作能力方面,英语教师无疑起着举足轻重的作用。
在学生初学英语时,初中教师投入的精力是很大的。
一方面他们要纠正学生的错误发音和不良学习习惯,另一方面还要进行大量的领读、听写、默写课文和作业批改等,英语教师已是忙得不可开交。

而事实上,听、说训练是间接为写作做准备的。
比如我们听一篇关于generation gap的文章,做完听力练习后我们可以有意识地让学生进行主题讨论,并把这一活动与写作过程中的审题、构思、信息加工联系起来,引导学生写出一篇限时作文。
如长期坚持,能很好地促使学生在听、说活动中提高写作水平,做到以听、说带写,以写作促听、说的良性循环。
学生是教学的主体,要想教学有效果,就必须发挥学生的主动性。
学生怕写作,一方面是觉得自己的所积累的词汇量和句子不够多,教师在教学中注重适量的拓展和培养积累单词,词组的好习惯,对句子进行举一反三的说。

那么,究竟是什么原因导致初中生的英语写作水平相对较低呢?笔者认为有以下几点:
一、小学英语教学基础非常薄弱
在我们这里,小学四年级学校就为学生开设了英语课,可是每周只有一到两节,课时非常少;并且,小学的英语老师很大一部分都不是专业的英语教师,而是其他学科的教师兼任。
所以,小学的
英语教学效果很不理想。
兴趣是最好的老师,而我们的学生,他们学习英语的兴趣在小学就已经被扼杀了。
只有那些家长受过教育、能够自己在家辅导自己的孩子,或者被家长送到各种各样的英语辅导班去学习英语的孩子,他们进入初中以后,才有可能在英语学习方面没有困难。
二、初中英语教学对英语写作不重视
在平时的初中英语教学中,英语教师对学生的英语写作没有进行循序渐进的、系统的训练。
让学生写英语作文大部分时间是在举行考试的时候,并且相当一部分教师在评讲试卷时,只是把范文给学生就完事。
这样造成大部分学生在考试过后,不知道作文里边存在什么问题。
因此,学生的作文写作几乎没有什么进步,更别说会有多大幅度的提高。
三、汉语思维与英语思维存在一定的差别
学生在写汉语作文时,可以说是“吾手写吾心”,也可以说是怎么想就怎么写。
因为平时习惯用汉语思维,英语写作,同学们也习惯用汉语思维,顺着汉语的意思往下翻译,这样就出现一些汉语式的句子,让人啼笑皆非。

那么,怎样才能有效提高学生的英语写作能力呢?我认为可以从以下几个方面着手:
一、从零做起,夯实基础知识
学生踏入初中校门之后,教师要从零做起,认真讲授二十六个

在三年的初中英语教学中,适当讲解基本语法知识,如句子的基本成分和句子的五种基本构成,时态和语态等,使学生对英语句子有个基本的了解。
教师还可以就初中学生的英语学习方法、教师的英语教学方法、初中生应该养成良好的学习习惯等不同方面对学生进行必要的讲解,这样学生尽快实现由小学到初中的角色转变,更好地融入初中英语学习生活。
二、加大学生的英语输入
大家知道,听、说、读、写是学生学习英语的四种基本技能,其中听和说是输入,读和写是输出,但在一定程度上,阅读也是一种输入,学生只有进行了一定量知识的输入,有了量的积累,才可能进行知识的输出。
所以我们在平时的英语教学中,应该注意加大对学生听、说、读的训练,使他们为写作积累素材和知识。
例如;在平时的教学过程中,我们可以让学生利用刚刚学习的词组、句型造句,使他们掌握一些词组、句型结构的用法。

例如:我们可以先进行联词成句或连接词组成句,之后进行简单句的写作和扩写,再把简单句变成并列句,变成复合句,然后进行文章的缩写,最后才进行短文写作训练。
五、完善作文评价体系
对于学生平时的作文练习,教师要以鼓励为主,善于发现学生的优点,激发学生的写作兴趣。
教师在处理学生的作文时,可以使用多种方法。
