1.Bent 变形，弯曲
Distortion caused by excessive force
过载引起的变形
2.blistered-起泡
bulge or swelling of coating
镀层/镀层隆起或膨胀
3.brinelled-压痕
大的静负载或拆装过程中力的作用引起压痕。

由接触的球或棒留下的压痕一般为圆形或球形。

Indentations usually caused by high static load or application of force during installation or removal. Indentations are usually round or spherical due to the impressions left by contacting balls or rollers.
4.broken-断裂
力引起本体金属分开。

separation of parent material by force.
5.bulge 膨胀
镀层或薄壁容器膨胀。

swelling usually of coating or thin-walled container.
6.burnished-摩擦
mechanical smoothening of a surface, sometimes resulting in discoloration. Result of normal operation, acceptable condition, not considered to be adverse wear.
7.burnt 过热
complete structural failure of the material because of very hot temperatures.
由于高温导致整体结构损伤。

8.chafed- 擦伤
Damage caused by rubbing at one location, usually used to describe damage to linear objects such as pipe lines, wires, etc
由于摩擦一个位置导致的损伤，经常用于描述线性物体如管道电缆等的损伤。

9.chipped碎片
breaking away of edge of parent material usually caused by impact from a foreign object.
由于外部物体冲击造成，本体金属边缘材料破裂。

10.coked- 积碳
accumulation of black deposits of carbon/coke.
黑色碳或积碳污物堆积。

11.collapsed-倒塌，崩塌
Giving way such that the material is unable to sustain normal operating loads
材料发软无法支撑正常负载
12.contaminated-污染
Presence of foreign material in cavity or on part
外部物体进入零件腔室或附在零件上。

13.corrosion腐蚀
loss of material due to chemical reaction between oxygen and the parent material.
Characterized by a rough, pitted surface and widespread discoloration.
14.cracked-裂纹
separations, fissures or ruptures characterized by sharp edges and/or sharp changed in direction. Cracks are cause for rejection.
15.crater-凹坑
holes on surface of parent material, not through to the other side.
在本体材料表面为穿透的孔。

16.crazed-裂纹
Many small surface cracks in random direction. Usually applies to plastics, fiber glass or metal sprayed surfaces.
17.creased-褶皱
fold, leaving a linear deformity, usually in thin material.
褶皱，留下线性变形，经常出现于薄片/板材料
18.cross-threaded-串纹
damage to screw threads causing threads to be deformed.
螺钉螺纹随坏导致螺纹变形。

19.curled-.卷曲
A rounded fold in the material such as the blade tip that has rubbed against the engine casing. 材料的圆形折叠，如叶尖摩擦发动机壳体造成的损伤。

20.cut 切削
severed or detached by another part, usually indicated by smooth surfaces of the separated edges.
被其他零件切断或分离，经常表现为切割边比较平滑。

21.dented
slight depression or hollow on the surface made by mechanical injury to the material such as blows or pressure caused by hard objects contacting the finished surface.
22.deposits
undesirable buildup/deposit of material on a part. The source of the material may be foreign or another part.
23.discolored
not the normal color, usually due to heat. Discoloration of surfaces ranges from light straw to blue or purple.
24.discrepant weld
welds that do not have enough penetration, fillet width, are discontinuous etc.

deviated from the original shape.
27.eccentric
Not centered within allowable specifiactions. Usually applicable to circular features or components.
28.elongated
permanently deformed beyond the normal length.
29.eroded
loss of parent material by particles or mechanical means.
30.flaked
separation of plating or coating from parent material.
