陕西西安华清池英⽂介绍陕西西安华清池英⽂介绍Huaqing Pool is situated about 35 kilometres east of the city of Xi'an. Historically, the Western Zhou dynasty saw the construction of the Li Palace on the spot. In the Qin dynasty a pool was built with stones, and was given the name Lishan Tang (the Lishan Hot Spring). The site was extended into a palace in the Han dynasty, and renamed the Li Palace (the Resort Palace). In the Tang dynasty, Li Shimin (Emperor Tai Zong) ordered to construct the Hot Spring Palace, and Emperor Xuan Zong had a walled palace built around Lishan Mountain in the year of 747. It was known as the Huaqing Palace. It also had the name Huaqing Pool on account of its location on the hot springs.Huaqing Pool is located at the foot of the Lishan Mountain, a branch range of the Qinling Ranges, and stands 1,256 metres high. It is covered with pines and cypresses, looking very much like a like a dark green galloping horse from a long distance. So it has the name of the Lishan Mountain (Li means a black horse). The Tang dynasty Emperor Xuan Zong and his favourite lady, Yang Gui Fei used to make their home at Frost Drifting Hall in winter days. When winter came, snowflakes were floating in the air, and everything in sight was white. However, they came into thaw immediately in front of the hall. It owed a great deal to the luke warm vapour rising out of the hot spring. This is the Frost Drifting Hall that greets us today.Close by the Frost Drifting Hall lies the Nine Dragon Pool. According to legend, the Central Shaanxi Plain was once stricken by a severe drought in the very remote past. Thus, by the order of the Jade Emperor (the Supreme Deity of Heaven), an old dragon came at the head of eight young ones, and made rain here. Yet when the disaster was just abating, they lowered their guard so much that it became serious again. In a fit of anger, the Jade Emperor kept the young dragons under the Jade Cause Way (⽟堤), with the Morning Glow Pavilion and the Sunset Pavilion built at both ends of it respectively,to make the young dragons spout cleat water all day long to meet the needs of local irrigation. Besides, he had the old dragon confined to the bottom of the Roaring Dragon Waterside Pavilion situated at the upper end of the Jade Causeway, and obliged him to exercise control over the young. The Nine-Bend Corridor west of the Nine Dragon Pool leads directly to the Marble Boat, which resembles a dragon boat on the water surface. In the Marble Boat lies the Nine Dragon Tang (the Nine Dragon Hot Spring where Emperor Xuan Zong used to take baths). At the head of his court ladies and hundreds of his officials, he would come to the Huanqing Palace to spend his winter days in October of the Lunar calendar and return to Chang'an City as the year drew to its close. The Nine Dragon Hot Spring was originally built with crystal jade, whose surface was decorated with the carvings of fish, dragons, birds and flowers. In it twin lotus flowers also carved with white jade could be seen as well. The spring water welled from the break of an earthen jar, and spouted up to the lotus flowers. Hence the name Lotus Flower Tang (the Lotus Flower Hot Spring). The Gui Fei Bathing Pool was where Yang Gui Fei, Emperor Xuan Zong's favorite lady, used to take bath. It was originally built with white jade, and in its center a blooming flower spouted water like a spring. The pool looked very much like a Chinese flowering crabapple; Hence its name the Chinese Flowering Crabapple Hot Spring or the Lotus Hot Spring……Lady Yang used to make a stay in this pavilion to see sights or to air her hair after a bath. Therefore, it was named the Hair Airing Pavilion. Whether the sun was rising or setting, the pavilion was aglow with sunshine; hence the name the Flying Roseate Pavilion.Southwest of the Gui Fei Bathing Pool stands a brick-built pavilion. On its head three big Chinese characters “Xi Jia Lou”(Fine Sunset-Bathed Pavilion)are inscribedaccording to the model of the most celebrated according to the model of the most celebrated Chinese calligrapher, Yu You Ren, here is the source of the spring water. At this spa there are four hot springs. They have an hourly flow of 112 tons, and a constant temperature of 43°C. The spring water contains lime, sodium carbonate, sodium sulphate and other minerals, which makes it suitable for bathing and considerable treatment of quite a few diseases such as dermatosis, rheumatism, arthritis and muscular pain. The Fine Sunset-Bathed Pavilion marks the first source of the spring water, which was discovered some 3,000 years ago, roughly in the Western Zhou Dynasty. Its water flow averages 25 tons per hour. Take up the steps east of the source of hot springs, you will gradually see the Five-Room Pavilion where Chiang Kaishek made a temporary stay during the Xi'an Incident. The Xi'an Incident took place on December 12, 1936, and it is also known as the Double Twelfth Incident. After the Incident of September 18, 1936, the Japanese imperialists seized the three provinces northeast of China, and intensified their invasion of North China. This was the very moment vital to the Chinese nation. Yet Chiang Kaichek persisted doggedly in carrying out his reactionary policy “domestic tranquility is a must for the resistance against Japanese invades,” andcommanded the Northeast Army and Northwest Army, respectively headed by Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng, to attack the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. Inspired by our Party‘s policy “let us stop the internal war and unit to resist the Japanese aggressors,” those two generals made to Chiang Kaishek the proposal of forming a united front with the Communist Party for the resistance. Not only did he reject the proposal, but flew to Xi'an to scheme the “suppression of the Communist Party.” And the slaughter of the patriotic youth. Out of patriotism, Zhang and Yang started the famous Xi’an Incident.Very early on the morning of December 12, 1936 the Incident was impending. Zhang Xueliang, together with Yang Hucheng ordered a squad of bodyguards to surround the Huaqing Pool. They fought a fierce battle there, and wiped out Chiang's。

介绍西安的英语作文八年级天气The city of Xi'an, located in the Shaanxi province of China, is renowned for its rich history and cultural heritage. As the former capital of the country, Xi'an has long been a hub of activity and a center of influence. However, beyond its historical significance, Xi'an is also known for its diverse and fascinating weather patterns. To begin, Xi'an experiences a continental climate, which is characterized by hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. During the summer months, the city can be quite sweltering, with temperatures often reaching the high 30s Celsius (or around 100 degrees Fahrenheit). The intense heat is often accompanied by high humidity levels, making the air feel thick and oppressive. Residents and visitors alike often seek refuge in air-conditioned buildings or venture out in the early mornings and evenings to avoid the scorching midday sun.Despite the heat, the summer season in Xi'an is also a time of vibrant activity and cultural celebration. The city hosts numerous festivals and events, such as the renowned Xi'an International Tourism andLeisure Festival, which features a variety of cultural performances, food stalls, and outdoor activities. The warm weather also encourages residents to gather in parks and public spaces, where they can enjoy activities like tai chi, badminton, and leisurely strolls. As the summer gives way to autumn, the weather in Xi'an begins to cool down. The transition is often gradual, with temperatures slowly dropping and the humidity levels decreasing. This is a particularly pleasant time of year, as the city's streets and parks become adorned with the vibrant hues of changing leaves. The crisp, comfortable air invites residents and visitors to explore the city's historic sites and landmarks, such as the iconic Terracotta Warriors and the ancient city walls. However, the arrival of winter in Xi'an can be quite harsh and unforgiving. The temperatures can plummet well below freezing, with the mercury often dipping to around -5 degrees Celsius (or 23 degrees Fahrenheit) during the coldest months. The dry, biting winds that sweep through the city can make the already frigid temperatures feel even more extreme. Residents must bundle up in thick coats, scarves, and gloves to brave the outdoor conditions.Despite the challenges of the winter weather, Xi'an still manages to maintain a sense of festivity and community during this time of year. The Lunar New Year celebrations, which take place in late January orearly February, are particularly lively and vibrant. The city's streets are adorned with colorful decorations, and the air is filled with the sound of firecrackers and the laughter of revelers. Families gather to enjoy traditional foods, exchange gifts, and celebrate the arrival of a new year.As the winter chill eventually gives way to the warmth of spring,Xi'an's weather undergoes another transformation. The city is blanketed in a delicate floral tapestry, as the trees and gardens burst into bloom. The air becomes filled with the sweet scent of flowers, and the once-barren landscape is now a vibrant tapestry of color. This is a time of renewal and growth, as the city's residents emerge from the confines of winter and embrace the rejuvenating energy of the spring season.Throughout the year, Xi'an's weather patterns are shaped by a variety of factors, including its geographic location, the influence of nearby mountain ranges, and the seasonal shifts in regional weather systems. The city's proximity to the Qinling Mountains, for example, can contribute to the formation of localized weather patterns, such as the frequent occurrence of fog and mist during certain times of the year.Despite the challenges posed by the extreme weather conditions, the people of Xi'an have developed a deep appreciation andunderstanding of their city's climate. They have learned to adapt to the changing seasons, adopting traditional practices and customs that help them navigate the various weather patterns. For instance, the use of traditional Chinese medicine and the consumption of seasonal foods are deeply rooted in the city's cultural heritage and are often seen as ways to maintain health and well-being in the face of the shifting weather. In conclusion, the weather in Xi'an is a testament to the diversity and complexity of the natural world. From the scorching summers to the bitterly cold winters, the city's climate is a constantly evolving and fascinating phenomenon. Whether one is drawn to the vibrant cultural celebrations that take place throughout the year or the opportunity to explore the city's rich history and natural wonders, the weather in Xi'an is undoubtedly a vital and integral part of the Xi'an experience.。

settled.the peaceful settlement of the incident put an end to the internal war which had lasted for ten years, and accelerated the formation and development of the national united front for the anti-japanese drive. moreover, it showed that the co-operative relationshipsbetween the communist and nationalists arrived at a new stage. it marked a great turning point in modern chinese history.in daytime while set on fire at night.the story goes that bao si, queen of the western zhou dynasty was highly honored, yet she never cracked a smile. king you tried many ways to put a smile on her face, but he failed over and over again. he “called his court band to toll bells and beat gongs”, and she pulled a long face. then the band were asked to “play the bamboo flute and strings” and she remained displeased. afterwards, “maids of ho nour served wine, festively singing and dancing,” and she did not let out a smile at all.“you don’t like music! what on earth are you fond of?” theking asked.“i nearly have a liking for nothing. but i can still well remember i liked to give ear to the sound of tearing a piece of coloured silk when i was a child. it was clear anf melodious,” she replied. king you said in excitement, “that is very simple. how come you didn’t let me know it earlier?”thus he ordered the officially appointed property manager to offer coloured silk, and made fresh and energetic maids of honour to tear it into pieces. hundreds of bolts of colouredsilk were utterlytorn, but bao si remained unmoved.“why didn’t you let out a single smile then?” he asked.“i have never smiled so far, ” the queen replied.the king tried over and over again, but failed repeatedly, and in the end he gave orders, “anyone both in and out of court who can amuse bao si will be awarded one thousand pieces of gold.”afterwards guo shifu, a treacherous court official came and offered advice: “set the beacon tower on fire and fool your sovereign rulers.” that night the king and queen reached the lishan mountain by carriage, and gave the order. in the split second the flames of the fire lit up the sky ad the sovereign rulers movedtheir troops immediately to the lishan mountain. there they found nothing but that the king and queen enjoyed drinking festively. the king then dispatched his bodyguard to inform them that “everything should have been all right. i have just been joking with you.” whenthey got this, they looked at each other in blank dismay, and left disappointed. sure enough, bao si burst into laughter, stroking her hands when she noticed all the troops come in vain and go noisily. accordingly, guo shifu got a prize of one thousand pieces of gold. later on king you did so more often than not. in 771 b.c. quan rong (a then minority tribe) stagedan armed rebellion against thewestern zhou dynasty. king you ordered urgently to set the beacon tower on fire, but all the sovereign rulers remained unmoved. consequently king yu was killed, and bao si was taken away. the western zhou dynasty vanished. herein comethe chinese idiom “a single smile costs one thousand pieces of gold” and “the sovereign rulers are fooled by the beacon fire.。

On its head three big Chinese characters “Xi Jia Lou” (Fine Sunset-Bathed Pavilion)are inscribedaccording to the model of the most celebrated according to the model of the most celebrated Chinese calligrapher, Yu You Ren, here is the source of the spring water. Yet Chiang Kaichek persisted doggedly in carrying out his reactionary policy “domestic tranquility is a must for the resistance against Japanese invades,” and commanded the Northeast Army and Northwest Army, respectively headed by Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng, to attack the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region.

This summer, my family took an awesome trip around China and I want to tell you all about the cool cities we visited and the delicious foods we ate!First up, we went to Beijing which is the capital city. Beijing is a really old city with over 3,000 years of history. We saw the famous Great Wall of China which was built a long, long time ago to protect China from invaders. The Great Wall goes up anddown across mountains and valleys. It was tough climbing up but the views from the top were amazing!Beijing is also home to the Forbidden City, which was the palace for 24 different emperors over almost 500 years. No ordinary people could go inside, only the emperor, his family and the servants. That's why it's called the Forbidden City! We wandered through its halls and gardens and I pretended I was a prince walking to meet the emperor.Of course, no trip to Beijing is complete without trying the famous Peking duck. The cooks hang up the ducks and blow hot air inside to make the skin super crispy. You eat it wrapped in a pancake with cucumber, onions and sweet bean sauce. It's my new favorite food - so juicy and flavorful!Next we traveled to Xi'an, home of the Terracotta Warriors. These are thousands of clay warrior statues that were buried underground for over 2,000 years to guard an emperor's tomb. Each warrior's face is different which is really cool. It's like they have their own personalities! The museums showing the warrior pits were so interesting to explore. In Xi'an we also tried lots of delicious street food snacks like roujiamo (a burger made with tender pork), liang pi (cold noodles with a spicy sauce) and gao ren bing (a sesame pastrystuffed with cream). I probably ate way too many snacks but they were irresistible! Then it was off to Shanghai, which is a huge modern city full of skyscrapers and lights at night. We went up to an observation deck to see the whole city skyline - it looked like a scene from a futuristic movie with all the bright colors! Shanghai is known for amazing acrobatic shows too. We watched performers doing crazy flips and tricks that seemed almost impossible. For a classic Shanghai meal, we had xiaolongbao or little soup dumplings. You have to carefully pick them up with your chopsticks and nibble a tiny hole in the side to slurp out the hot broth before eating the dumpling. So yummy! We also tried shengjianbao which are pan-fried baos with pork and gelatin inside that oozes out when you bite in. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!Our last stop was the city of Chengdu which is the capital of Sichuan province. This area has the most famous and spicy cuisine in China. One of my favorite Sichuan dishes was mapo tofu - soft tofu in a bright red sauce made with fermented black beans, chili oil and pork. It's super flavorful but also quite spicy so I had to drink lots of water!Chengdu is also famous for its giant pandas. We got to see these adorable black and white bears up close at the Chengdu Research Base. They munch bamboo all day and looked so peaceful and cuddly, although I know you can't really cuddle a panda since they can get aggressive. We also tried the local Sichuan hot pot which is a big simmering pot of chili oil and spicy broth that you cook meats, vegetables, noodles and whatever you want in!On our last night, we attended a cool mask changing show which is part of the traditional Sichuan opera. The performers wear colorful costumes and switch between different masks so fast, it's like magic! I've been lucky to travel around with my parents and want to tell you about some of my favorite cities and yummy Chinese dishes.First, let's talk about Beijing! The capital city is home to the incredible Forbidden City, which was the palace for emperors long ago. With over 9,000 rooms, I felt like I was exploring a maze! The red walls and golden roofs are so beautiful. I also loved seeing the giant pandas at the Beijing Zoo. They are so cute and cuddly looking, though I wouldn't want to actually hug one since they could smash me! Yikes! For a really fun day in Beijing, we went to the Longqing Gorge where you can go boating and hiking. I paddled a little boat through the river canyon and saw soaring cliffs and waterfalls all around. So cool! When I got hungry, I feasted on crispy Peking duck. The chef carved the juicy slices of duck right in front of me. I wrapped the duck in pancakes with plum sauce, cucumbers and scallions. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!Another city I really enjoyed was Xi'an. It's kind of like stepping back in time! We walked along the massive ancient City Wall that goes around downtown. At night, the Wall is all lit up which makes it look magical. The best part was exploring the Muslim Quarter with narrow streets packed with food stalls. I sampled fresh roujiamo (sort of like a burrito with stewed pork) and got a cone of crispy, syrupy jilinnai for dessert. So sticky and sweet!Of course, no visit to Xi'an is complete without seeing the Terracotta Warriors. These life-size clay soldier statues were buried underground for over 2,000 years to guard an emperor's tomb! Each one has a different face and expression. Our guide said they were all modeled after real soldiers from back then. Mind-blowing!My absolute favorite city is probably Chengdu. Why? Two words - baby pandas! We went to the Chengdu Research Base and I squealed watching the panda cubs tumble and play. Those fluffy teddy bear faces just slay me! Chengdu is also famous for its spicy Sichuan cuisine like mapo tofu and kung pao chicken. My mouth was on fire but I still couldn't stop eating! We took a day trip to see the incredible stone Buddha carved into the side of a mountain at Leshan. The statue is the size of askyscraper! I've never seen anything so big in my life. To get there, we had to climb what felt like a million steps. My legs were shaking by the time we made it to the top but it was so worth the view.My other favorite place in Chengdu was Jinli Street, which looked like it came straight out of an ancient Chinese painting. Stores and restaurants line the pedestrian alleys selling all kinds of traditional snacks and crafts. I loved the freshly made buckwheat noodles and barbecue meat skewers sold by friendly ladies from the countryside.I'm getting hungry just reminiscing about all the delicious foods! Let me tell you about some other yummy Chinese dishes I discovered on my travels. In Guangzhou, we had dim sum for breakfast with steamed shrimp dumplings, barbecue pork buns, and egg tarts. So many little plates of different foods to sample - it's like a never-ending buffet!Up north in Shandong, I became completely obsessed with their famous soup dumplings called gūolǜ. The dumplings are filled with hot soup on the inside along with pork and crab. You have to carefully nibble a hole in the side to slurp out the savory broth before dipping the dumpling in vinegar and gulping it down. Messy but oh so worth it!Speaking of dumplings, some of the best jiaozi I've ever eaten came from a tiny hole-in-the-wall in Shanghai. The dumplings were packed with flavorful fillings like pork and cabbage, or eggs and chives. We stood outside at the food stall counter and watched as the ladies pinched and pleated the dumplings by hand right in front of us. Fresh, hot, and absolutely perfect! No trip to China is complete without sampling diverse regional noodle dishes. In Lanzhou, we slurped downhand-pulled beef noodles in a rich, hearty broth. The chef stretched and twirled the noodle dough in the air like a jump roper before dropping them into the boiling soup.Down south in Guilin, we tried crispy fried noodles called luosifen that were bathed in a mouth-numbing sauce made with special river snails. It sounds a little weird, but it ended up being surprisingly delicious! The river town is surrounded by otherworldly karst mountains that make you feel like you're wandering through a fairytale land.I could keep going and going about all the amazing sights and foods I experienced in China. From scorpion skewers in Beijing to candied fruit and rainbow-colored drinks along the Bund in Shanghai, my travels opened my eyes to China'swonderfully diverse cuisine and sights. The scenery seriously looks too beautiful to be real!OK, now let me tell you about some of the best foods in China. I'm sure you've had Chinese food like fried rice, dumplings, and noodles before. But the food here is so much better and there are tons of dishes you can't get overseas.First up is Peking duck from Beijing. The duck is fried until the skin is really crispy and then you wrap it in a thin pancake with cucumbers, scallions, and sweet bean sauce. It's my dad's favorite and smells amazing! And you can't leave Beijing without trying a jianbing, which is kind of like a crepe with an egg cooked right into it along with crispy wontons and lots of savory sauces. In the south they eat a lot of dim sum, which are small plates of dumplings, buns, and other bite-sized dishes. My favorite is char siu bao, which are soft steamed buns filled with barbecued pork. So delicious! Guangzhou is one of the best places for authentic dim sum. And you have to try chicken feet if you're feeling adventurous!Up in Sichuan, the food is incredibly spicy but so flavorful. I told you about their famous dishes like mapo tofu already. But they also have an amazing hot pot where you cook your own meats and veggies in a huge pot of boiling chili oil broth right at your table. Just typing about it is making my mouth water!Another one of my favorite dishes is xiaolongbao from Shanghai. These are soup dumplings with a hot broth inside. You have to carefully pick them up with your chopsticks, make a tiny hole, slurp out the broth, then eat the dumpling. It's an art to eat them without making a mess! The broth is so rich and savory. And lastly, I have to mention the mouth-watering street foods you can find all over China. My favorites are jianbing (like I mentioned, a type of crepe), sugar candies shaped like little animals or toys, stinky but crazy addictive tofu, skewers of candied strawberries, and eggs cooked into a thin omelet with lots of yummy fillings and sauces.Whew, I could talk about Chinese food forever! From the spicy Sichuan dishes to the flaky pastries up north to the tropical flavors down in the south, the variety is just endless. Every city and region has its own unique specialties that you need to experience for yourself.I hope I've made you hungry and given you a taste of some of the amazing cities and cuisine in China. It's a huge country with 5,000 years of culture and history, so I've really just scratched the surface. If you ever get a chance to visit, you have to wander through the ancient sites, marvel at the natural wonders, and most importantly, eat as much as you can! Chinese food is the best in the world in my opinion. I'm so lucky I was born here and got to grow up eating it. Let me know if you have any other questions!。

碑林公园英文简介作文高中英文:Beilin Park, also known as Stele Forest Park, is a famous cultural park located in the city of Xi'an, China. The park covers an area of 31.5 acres and is home to over 3,000 stone steles and sculptures, making it one of the largest collections of ancient stone inscriptions in China. As a history lover, I was fascinated by the park's rich cultural heritage. The park is divided into several sections, each showcasing different types of stone inscriptions, including calligraphy, painting, andhistorical records. The most famous section of the park is the Forest of Stone Steles Museum, which houses over 2,000 stone steles from various dynasties. One of the most interesting things I learned during my visit was the importance of the stone steles in ancient China. These inscriptions were often used to recordimportant events, such as imperial edicts, military victories, and religious texts. They were also used to commemorate important figures, such as scholars and officials. In addition to the stone steles, the park also features beautiful gardens, ponds, and pavilions. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings while learning about China's rich cultural history.中文:碑林公园,又称碑林博物馆,是位于中国西安市的一个著名文化公园。
