People in the past used to be more dependent on one another, whereas nowadays they lead a more independent life. Do you agree or disagree? Some people fear that modern life is damaging our relationships with friends and family and resulting in more loneliness and isolation. However, others believe that we are now more interdependent than ever. In this essay, I will examine whether our lives are really more independent than in the past. It’s easy to see a trend towards increasing independence. First of all, traditional families are in decline. People increasingly do not live in large, extended families, and more and more people live alone. Secondly, people move more, for work or other opportunities, and change jobs more frequently. As a result, friendships and links with family may not last. A third issue is that traditional values of consensus, obedience to authority and respect for elders are changing. They are being replaced by individualism, materialism and self-help philosophies. However, there are also many things which haven’t changed. Deep down, human nature still seeks affection, advice and support fromothers. Even if people are physically separated because of work or other commitments, they still seek out the help and companionship of others. A second point is that new methods of communication allow us to keep in touch easily. Wechat, Weibo, email, mobile phones and messaging allow very quick and inexpensive communication and feedback. Furthermore, although people may not depend on family as much as in the past, colleagues and professional and social networks can provide even better interaction. In conclusion, I would say that although it appears that some traditional patterns of support have diminished, people are still intensely social and we are learning new ways to live in groups. Who knows? Some of these may serve us better!有些人担心现代生活正在破坏我们与朋友和家人的关系,导致更多的孤独和孤立。
题目是Differences between countries become less evident each year. Nowadays, all over the world people share the same fashions, advertising, brands, eating habits and TV chan-nels. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of this?不同国家的社会文化的全球同化现象的利弊。
有何应对措施?范文It is undoubtedly the case that the world today has become a global village. One of the effects of this is that increasingly people in all corners of the world are exposed to similar services and prod-ucts and adopt similar habits. My view is that this is largely a beneficial process and in this essay I will explain why.The first point to make is that there are some downsides to this process of cultural globalisation, but these are relatively minor. The most significant of these disadvantages is that it can weaken national culture and traditions. For example, if people watch films and television programmes pro-duced in the United States, sometimes they adopt aspects of the lifestyle of the American charac-ters they see on television. Typically, however, this only affects minor details such as clothing and does not seriously threaten national identity. When we turn to the other side of the argument, there are two major points to make in favour of this process. The first of these is that the more we share habits, products and services, the better we understand each other and this reduces prejudice against other nations. The other point relates to modernity. It is a sign of progress in a society that people no longer are restricted to brands and advertisements from their own society but are able to access more international goods. If, for ex-ample, there were unable to drink Coca Cola or wear Nike, then that would mean their society was not part of the international community. In conclusion, I understand the point of view of people who worry about cultural globalisation be-cause it is a threat to national traditions. However, this is outweighed by its positive impact on in-ternational understanding and the fact that it represents progress within a society.题目是Unemployment is one of the most serious problems facing developed nations today. What are the advantages and/or disadvantages of reducing the working week to thirty five hours?失业是发达国家的一大难题。
2024雅思9分口语范文话题:Describe an interesting place you have visited(描述一个你去过的有趣的地方)Well, I gotta tell you about this amazing place I once visited Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. You know, as soon as I landed there, it was like stepping into a whole new world. The first thing that hit me was the hustle and bustle. There were people everywhere, but not in a bad way. It was just so full of life. The streets were filled with these super colorful markets. I mean, they had everything from the most beautiful hand made handicrafts that looked like they were straight out of a fairytale, to the yummiest street foodthat smelled so good it could make your mouth water just walking past. And the temples! Oh my god. They were just spectacular. One temple I visited, I think it was Wat Arun, had these huge, pointy spires that were all covered in these little bits of shiny glass or porcelain. When the sun hit them, it was like the whole temple was on fire. It was that dazzling.Another really cool thing was the tuk tuks. They're like these three wheeled taxis that zip around the city like crazy. Riding in one was like being on a rollercoaster. You feel the wind in your hair, and the driver is usually blasting some really loud Thai pop music. It was a wild ride every time.I also met some really friendly locals. They always had a big smile on their face, and even though my Thai was basically non existent, we could still communicate with hand gestures and a few broken English words. They made me feel really welcome in their city. All in all, Bangkok is a place that has it all amazing sights, delicious food, exciting rides, and super friendly people. It's just a place that once you visit, you'll never forget.。
题目:Some people think that in the modern world we are more dependent on each other, while others think that people have become more independent.Discuss both views and give your own opinion.现代人是否更为独立。
范文:People have different views about whether we are more or less dependent on others nowadays. In my view, modern life forces us to be more independent than people were in the past. There are two main reasons why it could be argued that we are more dependent on each other now. Firstly, life is more complex and difficult, especially because the cost of living has increased so dramatically. For example, young adults tend to rely on their parents for help when buying a house. Property prices are higher than ever, and without help it would be impossible for many people to pay a deposit and a mortgage. Secondly, people seem to be more ambitious nowadays, and they want a better quality of life for their families. This means that both parents usually need to work full-time, and they depend on support from grandparents and babysitters for child care. However, I would agree with those who believe that people are more independent these days. In most countries, families are becoming smaller and more dispersed, which means that people cannot count on relatives as much as they used to. We also have more freedom to travel and live far away from our home towns. For example, many students choose to study abroad instead of going to their local university, and this experience makes them more independent as they learn to live alone. Another factor in this growing independence is technology, which allows us to work alone and from any part of the world. In conclusion, while there are some reasons to believe that people now depend on each other more, my own view is that we are more independent than ever.题目是Nowadays animal experiments are widely used to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products. Some people argue that these experiments should be banned because it is morally wrong to cause animals to suffer, while others are in favour of them because of their benefits to humanity.Discuss both views and give your own opinion.动物实验对动物残忍,动物实验对人类有益。

范文:In today's society, more and more young people are choosing to live a simple life. They are abandoning the pursuit of wealth and fame, instead opting for a simple and authentic lifestyle. This trend has sparked a heated debate among people. On the one hand, those who support this trend argue that the pursuit of simplicity can bring a sense of peace and contentment to individuals. In a fast-paced and materialistic society, many young people feel overwhelmed by the pressureto succeed and constantly compare themselves to others. By choosing to live a simple life, they can focus on what truly matters to them, such as personal relationships, health, and personal growth. Moreover, living a simple life can also have positive effects on the environment, as it involves consuming less and reducing waste.以上就是一篇经典的剑桥雅思写作9分范文,希望对大家有所帮助。
Task:Extreme sports such as sky diving and skiing are very dangerous and should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?以下是雅思前考官simon的9分范文:In recent years, extreme sports have become increasingly popular, and some people argue that governments should prohibit them. I completely disagree with the idea that these sports are too dangerous, and I therefore believe that they should not be banned. In my opinion, so-called extreme sports are not as dangerous as many people think. All sports involve some element of risk, and there should always be clear regulations and safety procedures to reduce the possibility of accidents. People who take part in extreme sports are usually required to undergo appropriate training so that the dangers are minimised. For example, anyone who wants to try skydiving will need to sign up for lessons with a registered club, and beginners are not allowed to dive solo; they must be accompanied by an experienced professional. Finally, the protective equipment and technology used in sports from motor racing to mountain climbing is constantly improving safety. While I support regulations and safety measures, I believe that it would be wrong, and almost impossible, to ban extreme sports. In the first place, we should all be free to decide how we spend our leisure time; as long as we understand the risks, I do not believe that politicians should stopus from enjoying ourselves. However, an even stronger argument against such a ban would be the difficulty of enforcing it. Many of the most risky sports, like base jumping or big wave surfing, are practised far away from the reach of any authorities. I cannot imagine the police being called to stop people from parachuting off a mountain face or surfing on an isolated beach. In conclusion......行文至此,调皮的simon突然停笔,要求广大烤鸭构思一个结尾,水友十分踊跃,但是,大多狗尾续貂。

IELTS Writing Task 2: 'positive or negative' essayHere's my full essay for the 'positive or negative development' question that we've been looking at over the last few weeks. In some countries, many more people are choosing to live alone nowadays than in the past. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?9分范文:In recent years it has become far more normal for people to live alone, particularly in large cities in the developed world. In my opinion, this trend is having both positive and negative consequences in equal measure. The rise in one-person households can be seen as positive for both personal and broader economic reasons. On an individual level, people who choose to live alone may become more independent and self-reliant than those who live with family members. A young adult wholives alone, for example, will need to learn to cook, clean, pay bills and manage his or her budget, all of which are valuable life skills. From an economic perspective, the trend towards living alone will result in greater demand for housing. This is likely to benefit the construction industry, estate agents and a whole host of other companies that rely on homeowners to buy their products or services. However, the personal and economic arguments given above can be considered from the opposite angle. Firstly, rather than the positive feeling of increased independence, people who live alone may experience feelings of loneliness, isolation and worry. They miss out on the emotional support and daily conversation that family or flatmates can provide, and they must bear the weight of all household bills and responsibilities. Secondly, from the financial point of view, a rise in demand for housing is likely to push up property prices and rents. While this may benefit some businesses, the general population, including those who live alone, will be faced with rising living costs. In conclusion, the increase in one-person households will have both beneficial and detrimental effects on individuals and on the economy.(280 words, band 9)【思路分析】四段13句式1.

In recent years, there has been growing interest in the relationship between equality and personal achievement. Some people believe that individuals can achieve more in egalitarian societies. Others believe that high levels of personal achievement are possible only if individuals are free to succeed or fail according to their individual merits. What is your view of the relationship between equality and personal success?范文:In my opinion, an egalitarian society is one in which everyone has the same rights and the same opportunities. I completely agree that people can achieve more in this kind of society.Education is an important factor with regard to personal success in life. I believe that all children should have access to free schooling, and higher education should be either free or affordable for all those who chose to pursue a university degree. In a society without free schooling or affordablehigher education, only children and young adults from wealthier families would have access to the best learning opportunities, and they would therefore be better prepared for the job market. This kind of inequality would ensure the success of some but harm the prospects of others.I would argue that equal rights and opportunities are not in conflict with people’s freedom to succeed or fail. In other words, equality does not mean that people lose their motivation to succeed, or that they are not allowed to fail. On the contrary, I believe that most people would feel more motivated to work hard and reach their potential if they thought that they lived in a fair society. Those who did not make the same effort would know that they had wasted their opportunity. Inequality, on the other hand, would be more likely to demotivate people because they would know that the odds of success were stacked in favour of those from privileged backgrounds. In conclusion, it seems to me that there is a positive relationship between equality and personal success.(260 words)。
个人独立的英文作文素材英文:Independence is a quality that holds great significance in life. It encompasses many aspects of an individual's experience and development, shaping who they are and how they navigate the world around them. In this essay, I will discuss the importance of personal independence and share examples from my own life to illustrate its impact.First and foremost, personal independence is about making decisions for oneself. It means having theconfidence and autonomy to decide what is best for your own life. This may include choices related to education, career, relationships, or even daily routines. For instance, when I chose my field of study in college, I did so based on my interests and passion rather than the expectations of others. This decision not only aligned with my goals, butit also allowed me to thrive academically and grow as an individual.Furthermore, independence involves takingresponsibility for one's actions. Being independent doesn't mean you don't rely on others; rather, it means you own up to your decisions and their consequences. For example, when I made a mistake in a group project, I accepted responsibility for my error and took steps to rectify it. This taught me the value of accountability and helped me earn the respect of my peers.Independence also fosters self-reliance. Being able to trust in your abilities and judgment is crucial for personal growth. When I moved to a new city for work, I faced numerous challenges, such as finding a place to live and navigating unfamiliar surroundings. By relying on my problem-solving skills and resourcefulness, I was able to overcome these obstacles and adjust to my new environment.Another aspect of independence is financial autonomy. Being able to support oneself financially is a key part of becoming an independent adult. I remember when I got myfirst job and started earning my own money; it was aliberating experience. Managing my finances and budgeting allowed me to take control of my life and plan for the future.Independence also influences personal relationships. Being independent in relationships means having healthy boundaries and understanding your own needs and desires. When I learned to assert myself and communicate openly with my friends and family, my relationships improved significantly. I felt more at ease expressing my opinions and needs, and this led to stronger connections with those around me.Moreover, personal independence can lead to a greater sense of self-confidence and self-worth. When you trust in your own abilities and decisions, you naturally become more confident in yourself. For me, this confidence has been instrumental in both my professional and personal life. It has allowed me to take on new challenges and pursue opportunities without fear of failure. In conclusion, personal independence is an essentialaspect of life that contributes to overall well-being and success. It empowers individuals to make their own choices, take responsibility for their actions, and rely on their abilities. By embracing independence, we can grow as individuals and lead more fulfilling lives.中文:个人独立是生活中非常重要的品质。
独立的英语作文(精彩8篇)关于独立的英语作文篇一When I was very small, I was so envious about the adults, because they could do whatever they wanted and did not have to depend on their parents. For me, I did not have money and my parents limited my pocket money, so I couldn’t spend the money to buy whatever I wanted. It seems to me that being an adult is my only wish. Some day, I learned from the movie that being an adult was not that as perfect as I thought. In the movie, the man struggled to earn money to pay his bills, what’s more, he had to stay away from his family. Loneliness was always around him. To be independent means we can live our own way and make our own decision. We have more freedom. But at the same time, it also means more annoyance. So why just we enjoy this moment.独立的英语作文篇二In every school a “top” crowd sets the pace, while the others follow their lead. Lets say the top crowd decides that it is smart to wear bright red sweaters.Pretty soon everybody is wearing a bright red sweater. There is nothing wrong with that, except the fact that on some people a bright red sweater is extremely unbecoming. The situation can even become dangerous, if the top crowd decides that it is smart to drink or to drive cars at seventy miles an hour. Then the people who follow the lead are endangering their lives. They are like the sheep being led to the butcher. Now, chances are that you have come across situations like these more than once in your life; chances are that one time or another you probably did something you knew to be wrong. You may have excused yourself by saying, “Gee, the crowd does it.” Well, let the crowd do it, but dont do it yourself. Learn to say, “No.”Develop your own standards and your own judgment. If you know the crowd is planning something you disagree with, have the courage to bow out politely. Youll have the satisfaction of standing on your own two feet.独立的英语作文篇三When we talk about being independent, we often think about leaving our parents and living alone. The mental independence is always ignored by people, mental independence means the person can measure the things and make the right decision. As for the children, even they move out and stay far away from their parents, but sometimes they just can#39;t control themselves, they will get the bad behavior, like smoking and drinking, their life is losing control. The young people need to cultivate their independent spirit, they should think by themselves, learn to take care of the other people, thus they can be the real independent. When a person grows up, they can be strong enough to support their lives and at the same time, they can be mature enough to make their own decision. They can tell what is wrong and what is right.当我们谈到成为独立,总是想要离开父母,独自居住。
