《牛津初中英语》作为新一代的英语教材在部编教材的基础上进行了很大的改进和创新并充分体现了《新课标》的诸多精神。

笔者认为熟读课文是非常重要的同时也是行之有效的方法。

因为在口语测试中，考生要能比较连贯地朗读所学课文或难度略低于所学语言材料的短文，这就要求学生平时能抽出一定的时间进行课文以及其他材料的朗读。

在朗读的过程中，学生不仅要注意语音语调，意群停顿和流畅程度，而且更重要的是领悟文章内容，习得语言以外的知识如异域文化、人生真谛、生活常识等。

熟悉这些材料还能提高学生在笔试中的阅读理解能力。

还要重视日常生活话题，熟悉此类话题，尽量用流畅的语言来叙述这类话题。
