Lesson 5 Talking to Friends (Part I)

教材分析 第二单元的话题是周末活动,涉及做家务、通讯(使用网络),旅游与交通(使用地图)。第四课的主要内容是家庭成员之间谈论家务劳动的六个短对话,语法现象是现在进行时。通过学习六个对话,体会、感知、归纳现在进行时的用法,并能用现在进行时描述家庭成员正在进行的活动。第六课通过听力的输入,获取Lucy和朋友外出要去的地方的信息,同时学习如何问路、指路的功能用语。本单元的输出内容为对话形式,内容包含问路及正在进行的活动。

本课书的话题是通讯,主要内容是在周末利用不同的通讯方式:比如网络和电话等方式,和朋友保持联系。学生在第四课已经接触到了现在进行时,并初步了解和掌握了现在进行时的用法。本课主要是通过阅读两个朋友之间的即时信息,来学习和谈论正在做的事,进一步巩固现在进行时的意义和用法。

作为第一课时,本节课侧重对课文的理解和对语言的梳理。学生在学习了有关交流工具词汇的基础上,通过阅读文本信息进行语言的输入,包括进一步理解巩固词汇,训练阅读获取信息、理解信息和筛选信息等阅读策略,以及初步感知现在进行时的一般疑问句和特殊疑问句的意义和基本用法。最后结合课文的信息和语言进行输出性活动。

学情分析 学生在前面学习的基础上,对表示通讯方式的词汇有了一定的储备,如phone, email, Internet, online等。话题内容也贴近学生的日常生活,容易接受。通过第四课现在进行时的学习,初步掌握了现在进行时的基本用法和肯定句与否定句的基本结构,有利于学生继续学习现在进行时的疑问句。

本班学生英语水平相差较大,存在基础薄弱生。因此,需要教师铺设更为细致的台阶,帮助学生巩固基础词汇和短语,理解文本细节信息。同时,采用小组合作的方式,互帮互助,对不同层次学生分层评价,让学生获得成就感,保持学习英语的热情。

教学目标 通过本节课的学习,学生能够:

1. 正确朗读有关通讯方式的话题词汇和短语。

2. 通过阅读,以回答问题、填写表格等方式,获取Wu Qi 和 Chris周末网络聊天的即时信息。

3. 借助对话信息,讨论不同人物正在做的事情。

4. 珍惜友谊,利用空余时间和朋友进行有意义的交流。

Situation: S1’s family are busy doing housework.

Suddenly, his (or her) mobile phone rings. S2 invites him

(or her) to go out. S1 refuses S2 and tells him (her) what

the family members are doing.

Step2. Lead into topic and learn the vocabularies.

1. Lead in communication tools.

The show stop and ask the students:

Q1: Can you tell me what they are doing?

(Ss may say: They are talking. They are talking on the

mobile phone...)

Show “mobile phone”.

T: Mobile phone is a communication tool.

Q2: Do you often use mobile phones to talk to your

friends?

Q3: What other communication tools do you use?

(Ss may mention: email, the Internet, home phone, etc. )

T: Many students use mobile phones, right?

Q4: How do you talk to your friends on the mobile

phone?

a. If Ss can’t say the English words, show pictures first

and Ss choose the pictures. Learn words “instant

message and text message”.

Find the difference between instant message and text

message.

b. Ss read the words after the tape.

c. Ss read in pairs.

2. Match the verbs with the nouns.

从两位同学交流的方式引入,将话题联系学生个人生活。通过提问引导学生说出自己与朋友保持联系的方式,从而引出有关交流工具的词汇,激发学生兴趣。

动词和名词匹配组成动宾短语,通过朗读和配图,练习短语发音,巩固短语意义,为理解信息和语言输出做铺垫。

2. Read the messages fast and find the answers.

a. Show the pictures of the boys. Look at the pictures.

b. Show their head portraits.

to their head portraits.

Step 2. Read and get the detailed information.

1. Ss read the messages again and complete the table in

Part 2 by themselves. (&= and)

Ask Ss underline the sentences first.

2. Ss check the answers in pairs.

3. Check the answers in class and get further
