Another与more的区别

Ten of us are from Chongqing,m Chengdu. 我们中间有10人来自重庆，其余的（都）来自成 都。（注：要么来自重庆，要么来自成都。）
Three of you go there, and the others stay here. 你们之中有三个到那边去，其余的全待在这儿。
Other一般与复数名词连用 There are seven continents in the world. But I only remember five. Could you tell me the other two countinents? 世界有7大洲，我只记得5个，你能告诉我另外 2个吗？
other adj.其他的, 另外的 pron.其他的, 他人, 另外一个 adv.另外地, 不同地
the other 是其中的“另一个”, 如：Give me the other one not this one. 给我那一个, 不是这一个。 others 和some对比使用时, 是“有些”的意思而 不是做“其他”讲。

Other前若有the，any也可与单数名词连用 The No.3 bus stop is on the other side of the street. 第3路公共汽车站在街的另一边。 Any other student can do it. 任何别的学生都会做。

“other,another,more”修饰数词时的用法一、other表“另外的”之意，后接复数名词，如与具体数词连用，则置于数词之后，但与定冠词the连用时，other要放在数词前。

如：1．Mr Smith is going shopping with ____ boys next Sunday．史密斯先生将于下周日与另外两个男孩去买东西。

3．Do you know where he found the other four chairs?你知道他是在哪儿找到另外四把椅子的吗?二、anotheranother表“另一个”时只跟可数名词单数，而表“另外的、额外的、附加的”之意时，可跟带有few或具体数字的复数名词，此时可把“数词+复数名词”看作是一个整体。

如：1．――Have you finished you homework yet? 你的作业做完了吗？――No，I will finish it in ____ 15 minutes．没有，还需15分钟。

三、more意为“另外的”。

1．一般位于数词之后名词之前，有时也可置于名词之后。

A. fourth 第四； B. forty 四十； C. fourteen 十四； D. four四。

two boys and two girls，两个男孩和两个女孩是四个孩子，故选D。

大约有两千学生在这个学校。

two thousand具体数字，不加s,of. thousands of数千，模糊数字，要有s和of,根据句意可知是具体数字，故选A。
