After that, some "wants" like toys, games, entertainment are okay if you have money left over. But they aren't required for living.For future needs, not just present needs. Some money should be saved, not spent right away. That's for future needs like if your family needs to repair your home, or pay for education, or in case someone loses their job for a while. My parents put some money every month into savings accounts at their bank.For helping others, not just yourself. Finally, if you're lucky enough to have extra money after taking care of your own needs, some of it should go to helping people who don't have enough. But alongside that, I think it's really important for kids to understand that money isn't the most important thing in life. Not at all!
