When I first heard about the English Memoir Writing assignment in our high school literature class, my heart skipped a beat. Not because of the dread of writing, but because of the excitement of delving into my past and capturing the essence of my experiences in words. The task was to write an 800word memoir on a significant moment in our lives, and I knew exactly which moment I wanted to write about: the day I conquered my fear of public speaking.Growing up, I was always the quiet one in the corner, the kid who preferred reading a book to joining a group of friends. The thought of standing in front of a crowd and speaking made my knees knock and my voice quiver. But everything changed in my junior year when our English teacher, Mrs. Thompson, announced a mandatory public speaking assignment as part of our curriculum. The assignment was to deliver a speech on any topic of our choice. I chose to speak about the impact of technology on our society, a topic that resonated with me deeply. The weeks leading up to the speech were a whirlwind of research, notetaking, and countless practice sessions in front of the mirror. My family became my first audience, enduring my nervous stutters and awkward pauses with patience and encouragement. The day of the speech arrived, and as I stood backstage, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. The auditorium was filled with my peers, teachers, and even some parents. The lights were bright, the stage seemed higher than ever, and the silence was deafening. But then, I took a deep breath, stepped onto the stage, and began to speak. The words flowed out of me, not just from memory, but from the passion I felt for the subject. I spoke about the benefits of technology in education, healthcare, and communication, and the challenges it posed in terms of privacy and social interaction. My voice, once shaky and uncertain, grew stronger and more confident with each sentence. As I reached the conclusion of my speech, I looked out into the audience and saw something that filled me with pride and relief: people were nodding in agreement, some were even jotting down notes. The applause at the end of my speech was a thunderous validation of my efforts, and it was in that moment that I realized I had conquered my fear.Writing the memoir of that day was a cathartic experience. It allowed me to relive the emotions, the preparation, and the triumph of overcoming my fear. It also gave me a deeper understanding of the power of facing our fears headon and the transformative impact it can have on our lives. In my memoir, I described the feeling of my heart racing in my chest, the taste of nervousness in my mouth, and the sight of the audience that seemed to grow larger with each step towards the stage. I wanted my readers to feel the same anticipation and anxiety that I felt, and to understand the sense of accomplishment that came with overcoming it.I also included the feedback I received from my teacher and classmates, which was overwhelmingly positive. Their words of praise and encouragement were a testament to the hard work I had put intopreparing for the speech, and they served as a reminder that our fears can be conquered with determination and courage. The memoir writing assignment was more than just a school task for me it was a journey of selfdiscovery and personal growth. It taught me that our fears are not insurmountable obstacles, but rather stepping stones towards our potential. And it showed me that the power of storytelling can not only help us understand ourselves better, but also inspire others to face their own challenges. In conclusion, the English Memoir Writing assignment was a transformative experience for me. It allowed me to reflect on a significant moment in my life, to express my emotions and experiences in a meaningful way, and to share my story with others. It was a reminder that our fears can be conquered, and that our stories have the power to inspire and motivate. And most importantly, it was a testament to the fact that even the quietest among us can find their voice and make it heard.。

Title: A Memoir: Reflections on the Importance of Keeping a Memoir。
In today's fast-paced world, where digital remindersand notifications dominate our lives, the traditional practice of maintaining a physical memo seems almost archaic. However, upon closer inspection, one realizes the profound significance that a memoir holds in our lives. In this reflective piece, I delve into the importance of keeping a memoir and its enduring relevance in an age inundated with technological advancements.First and foremost, a memoir serves as a tangiblerecord of our thoughts, experiences, and emotions. Unlike fleeting digital notes that can easily be forgotten or deleted, a memoir preserves our memories in a tangible form, allowing us to revisit them at any time. Each entry encapsulates a moment in time, immortalizing it for posterity. Whether it's jotting down a significant event, recording personal reflections, or expressing gratitude, a memoir serves as a repository of our life's journey. Moreover, keeping a memoir fosters self-reflection and introspection. As we document our daily experiences and innermost thoughts, we gain valuable insights into our own psyche. Through the act of writing, we confront our fears, celebrate our achievements, and grapple with our shortcomings. This process of self-discovery is invaluable for personal growth and development. By examining our past actions and decisions, we gain clarity about our values, aspirations, and priorities, thereby charting a more intentional path forward.Furthermore, a memoir cultivates gratitude and mindfulness. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life,it's easy to overlook the simple joys and blessings that surround us. However, by actively recording moments of gratitude in our memoir, we train ourselves to appreciate the beauty and abundance in our lives. Whether it's expressing gratitude for a kind gesture, a breathtaking sunset, or a moment of serenity, acknowledging theseblessings enriches our lived experience and imbues our days with meaning.Additionally, a memoir serves as a bridge between generations, preserving our legacy for future generations. As we document our life story, we pass down a piece of ourselves to our descendants, providing them with insights into our values, beliefs, and experiences. In an era characterized by rapid change and uncertainty, this connection to our roots becomes all the more vital. Through our memoir, our descendants gain a deeper understanding of their heritage and lineage, fostering a sense of continuity and belonging. In conclusion, the practice of keeping a memoir is far from obsolete; rather, it is a timeless tradition that enriches our lives in myriad ways. From preserving our memories to fostering self-reflection and gratitude, a memoir serves as a beacon of introspection and connectionin an increasingly digitized world. As we navigate the complexities of modern life, let us not forget the enduring value of penning our thoughts on paper, one entry at a time.。

?Date: January 24, 2005To: F. PrefectFrom: A. DentSubject: My Suggested Revisions to the Local Demolition Schedule日期:2005年1月24日致: F. 普里费科特自: A. 邓特由:关于地方拆除计划的建议修订案日期:要采用正式的全部拼写。
方式,回答:who,what,when,where and why。
Directions:You are an active member of the student newspaper. The newspaper is currently looking for a journalist for the summer semester. Write a memo that will appear in the newspaper next week describing the position available. You should write about 100 words on ANSWER SHEET 2.范文:Date: Octobor 10, 2005To: All studentsFrom: A. The position will commence at the end of May and will last through to the end of August. The salary for the position is negotiable and will be based on experience.
Memo
To:
From:
Date:
Subject:
Memo
To: All Employees
From: Berry Silver, President
Date: June 22nd, 2014
Subject: Entertainments or Gifts during Spring Festival
At around this time of year, many invitations are received from companies and clients to Spring Festival dinners. Gifts are also sometimes received. I am sure that such offers only result from a job being well done and it is certainly pleasing to know that the level of service provided by staff is appreciated.
However, the acceptance of any offers, entertainment or gifts, can lead to either a real or perceived conflict of interest. To ensure that this does not arise, all such offers should be declined and gifts returned.
I should appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
