2012年大学英语四级校考考纲及样题

乐山师范学院大学英语四级校考考试大纲

总则

教育部高教司于2007年颁发的普通高校《大学英语课程教学要求》指出,大学阶段的英语教学要求分为三个层次:一般要求、较高要求和更高要求。大学英语四级考试面向按一般要求修完大学英语课程的在校大学生。根据《教学要求》,针对我校学生实际英语水平,特制定以下大学英语四级校考考试大纲。

1、考试目的:通过考试,检查学生是否达到了教育部规定的大学英语课程教学要求的水平。

2、参考人员:我校08、09级未通过全国大学英语四级考试的非艺体类本科学生。

3、命题范围:4000个基础词汇和700个词组,其中1800个词汇为积极词汇,即能在认知基础上熟练运用的词汇。

4、考试形式:笔试

5、考试题型:客观题和主观题

本次校考由教务处统一管理,由外国语学院统一命题、统一测试、统一阅卷,最后由教务处统计报分。

2012年大学英语四级校考要求和试卷设计

乐山师范学院2012年大学英语四级校考包括“词汇与语法、阅读理解、完型填空、汉译英、写作(短文写作)”五个部分。

I. 词汇与语法 (Vocabulary and Structure, 30%)

共30题,考试时间为30分钟。本部分词汇占40%,即12题;语法结构占60%,即18题,每题1分。采用多项选择。

1、词汇以测试词义、用法和搭配为主,有一定的习语和短语动词,词汇命题不

超出所学教材(《大学体验英语综合教程》)1-3册所列词汇范围。

2、语法部分的命题范围主要有:主谓语一致、非谓语动词、定语从句、状语从

句、被动语态、一般现在时、一般过去时、一般将来时、现在进行时、过去进行时、将来进行时、现在完成时、过去完成时、将来完成时、反意疑问句、倒装句、虚拟语气等。

II.阅读理解(Reading Comprehension, 30%)

共15题,每题2分,考试时间为35分钟。本部分由四篇短文组成,总阅读量在1000词左右(不含理解题)。每篇设计5个理解题,采用多项选择。

1、题材包括传记、社会、文化、日常生活、科普知识等,所涉及的背景知识能

为学生所理解;体裁包括叙述文、说明文、议论文等。

2、文章的难度不超过四级阅读材料;允许3%的生词,影响理解的关键生词用

汉语注释。

3、理解句子水平的意义、理解字面意思和理解事实、细节的题量占75%;根据上下文逻辑关系、主旨大意、推理判断的题量占25%。

III.完型填空 (Cloze, 5%)

本部分为一篇约200字的短文,抠掉其中的10个词,让考生填空,每题0.5分;考试时间为5分钟。采用四选一的考试形式。

IV.汉译英 (Translation from Chinese into English, 10%)

共10题,每题1分。考试时间为5分钟。每题已写出一部分英文翻译,另一部分是汉语提示,学生只需根据汉语提示将句子补充完整。

V.写作(Writing, 25%)

本部分分为段落写作和短文写作两种形式,旨在考查考生是否具有用英语进行书面表达的能力。段落写作将给出主题句,让考生续写。短文写作采用命题作文的方式,给出关键词和提纲,考生按题目和提纲要求,在30分钟内写出一篇约120个左右英语单词的短文,内容切题,表达思想清楚、语言正确。

Passage One

Questions 31 to 35 are based on the following passage.

Not everyone in the world requires the same amount of living space. The amount of space a person needs around him is a cultural difference, not an economic one. Knowing your own psychological space needs is important because they strongly affect your choices, including, for example, the number of bedrooms in the home. If you were brought up in a two-child family and both you and your sister or brother had your own bedrooms, the chances are, if you have two children or more, that you also will offer separate bedrooms for them. In America, for example, they train people to want to have their own rooms by giving them their own rooms when they are babies. This is very rare in the world. In many other countries, the baby sleeps in the same bed with his parents or in bed near them.

The space in the home also shows a lot about psychological space needs. Some families gather closer to each other and the size of their house has nothing to do with it. Others have separate little corners where family members go to be alone.

Although it is true that psychological space needs are not decided by economic reasons, they sometimes have to be changed a little because of economic pressures. It is almost impossible, however, to completely change your psychological space needs.

Passage Two

Questions 36 to 40 are based on the following passage.

When a group of children politely stop a conversation with you, saying: “We have to go to work now,” you’re left feeling surprised and certainly uneasy. After all, this is the 1990s and the idea of children working is just unthinkable. That is, until you are told that they are all pupils of stage schools, and that the “work” they go off to is to go on the stage in a theatre.

Stage schools often act as agencies to supply children for stage and television work. More worthy of the same “stage school” are those few places where children attend full time, with a training for the theatre and a general education.

A visit to such schools will leave you in no doubt that the children enjoy themselves. After all, what lively children wouldn't settle for spending only half the day doing ordinary school work, and acting, singing or dancing their way through the other half of the day?

Then of course there are times for the children to make a name and make a little money in some big shows. Some stage schools give their children too much professional work at such a young age. But the law is very tight on the amount they can do. Those under 13 are limited to 40 days in the year; those over 13 do 80 days.

The schools themselves admit that not all children will be successful in the profession for which they are being trained. So what happens to those who don't make it? While all the leading schools say they place great importance on children getting good study results, the facts seem to suggest this is not always the case.

Most people feel lonely sometimes, but it usually only lasts between a few minutes and a few hours. This kind of loneliness is not serious. In fact, it is quite normal. For some people, though, loneliness can last for years. Now researchers say there are three different types of loneliness.

The first kind of loneliness is temporary. This is the most common type. It usually disappears quickly and does not require any special attention. The second kind, situational loneliness, is a natural result of a particular situation—for example, a family problem, the death of a loved one, or moving to a new place. Although this kind of loneliness can cause physical problems, such as headaches and sleeplessness, it usually does not last for more than a year.

The third type of loneliness is the most severe. Unlike the second type, chronic(长期的)loneliness usually lasts more than two years and has no specific cause. People who experience habitual loneliness have problems socializing and becoming close to others. Unfortunately, many chronically lonely people think there is little or nothing they can do to improve their condition.

Psychologists agree that one important factor in loneliness is a person’s social contacts, e.g. friends, family members, co-workers, etc. We depend on various people for different reasons. For instance, our families give us emotional support, our parents and teachers give us guidance, and our friends share similar interests and activities. However, psychologists have found that, though lonely people may have many social contacts, they sometimes feel they should have more. They question their own popularity.

Psychologists are trying to find ways to help habitually lonely people for two reasons: they are unhappy and unable to socialize and there is a connection between chronic loneliness and serious illness such as heart disease. While temporary and situational loneliness can a normal healthy part of life, chronic loneliness can be a very sad, and sometimes dangerous, condition.

Other people live to work. As for them, work is a most important part of their life. They cannot live without work and most of them may be workaholics. They are more concerned about the importance and enjoyment of their work rather than the money or salaries obtained from their work.

My opinion is that everyone has to work in order to maintain a basic comfortable life. But work is not just a means of getting money. For most of us, work is very important to our future happiness and contentment. Besides, through work we can communicate with different kinds of people, realize our own values and contribute our share to the whole of society.

《大学英语》一级课程 (College English Band 1) 一、简要说明: 参照国家教育部制订的《大学英语课程教学要求》, 同时根据我校教学资源、学生入学水平以及所面临的社会需求等实际情况, 特制订本《大学英语教学大纲》,作为我校组织非英语专业本科、专升本学生英语教学的主要依据, 用于指导本校的大学英语教学。大学英语课程教学包括听、说、读、写四个部分。 二、课程性质、地位和任务: 大学英语教学是高等教育的一个有机组成部分,大学英语课程是大学生必修的一门基础课程。大学英语教学是以英语语言知识与应用技能、学习策略和跨文化交际为主要内容,以外语教学理论为指导,并集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。 大学英语的教学目标是培养学生英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力,使他们在今后工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流,同时增强其自主学习能力、提高综合文化素养,以适应我国经济发展和国际交流的需要。 三、教学基本要求和方法: (一)教学基本要求 1.听力能力要求:能听懂简单的日常会话和课堂用语,能听懂语速为每分钟100词左右的英语短文并理解其中心大意和要点。 2.口语能力要求:在实际交际中做到语音、语调较为自然、得体和流畅;熟悉个人、家庭、日常生活、兴趣爱好、风俗习惯、职业、节日、社交礼仪等方面的话题,并能就这些话题进行简单的会话或陈述。 3.写作能力要求:掌握描述时间、地点、方位的基本表达方式;掌握比较人、物体及事物的基本表达方式; 能使用适当的语言形式进行描述和表达观点、态度和情感等;能根据特定目的有效地进行简单的文字表达。 4.阅读能力要求:能读懂语言难度一般的普通题材的文章,领会掌握一些基本的阅读技巧,掌握中心大意及主要事实和有关细节,阅读速度达到每分钟60词。在快速阅读篇幅较长、难度略低的材料时,阅读速度达到每分钟80词。 5.推荐词汇量:应领会或掌握2300左右单词和500-600个习惯用语或固定词组,其中积极词汇为900左右,并具备基本的构词法知识。 (二)教学基本方法 1. 授课以英语为主,汉语为辅;精讲多练,讲析与操练相结合;根据学生具体情况,适当融入各类有针对性 的教学方法,如:句型操练,背诵与默写,小组讨论,角色扮演等;运用启发式教学的手段,调动学生学习积极性,激发学生思辨能力。 2. 课内外相结合,讲习与讨论相结合;适当增加文化内容和背景知识的介绍; 适当采用有针对性的教学方法, 如:限时阅读,归纳总结等。 四、授课教材及主要参考书目: 1. 《新视野大学英语》(读写教程)第一册
