Last year,he won a national prize for playing thepiano, which gives him more motivation in practice. He also likes to entertain his friends. His parents want him to have more opportunities to enjoy his childhood. On weekends, the little boy is encouraged to invite his classmates or neighbors to come. They can enjoy the games that they like. Besides, the little boy is also very polite. Whenever he meets us,he says hello to us first and holds the door for us. When I visit his home,he offers me some fruits and snacks. He will not have snacks until those who are older have taken their share. Every time I meet him in the elevator, he greets me with a lovely smile. He tells me somethinginteresting about what has happened. He is really cute.

One of the books that I have recently read is called At Home: A ShortHistory of Private Life by an author called Bill Bryson. It is a thick, factualbookabout many different subjects. It is really a collection of information andanecdotes related to our private lives, past and present. The book is mainly about things that have been included in our homes overthe centuries. The author started out by wondering about the history ofeverything in his own home. As it is a factual book rather than a novel, it doesnot have a plot as such. Each chapter in the book covers the history of aparticular room. For exle, the chapter on the kitchen talks about the historyof running water, electricity, gas cooking and so on. The chapter aboutthebathroom looks at the history of plumbing, sanitation and privacy. Thebookcontains so much interesting information that I think I will have to read itagain in order to take it all in.As to the kind of people who would enjoy it, I think anybody who isinterested in history and enjoys learning lots of interesting facts would enjoyreading this book. It would also appeal to a busy person, as it’s a good book todip in and out of, because you don’t have to follow a story, as you would with anovel. You can just take it chapter by chapter, or even page by page, as thereis something to learn on every page. Each chapter is written like a story, eventhough it is a factual book, so it takes the reader to all sorts of unexpectedplaces, and for me it was a real page-turner.I like this book because I learned such a huge amount from it, which hasmade me look around my own home with different eyes and appreciate just how farwe have e in a short space of time in terms of architecture, technology, lighting, fort and many other things. (Describe an exciting book you have read)You should say:What is the name of the bookwhat type of book it ishow you knew this bookand explain why you like to remend this book to your friend1.

Describe a toy you gave to a child. I remember having many toys in my childhood and in different stages of my childhood I prefered different toys. But among them the digital art board was a very special one to me and I played with this special toy for more than 3-4 years as I recall. This was a gift from my father on occasion of my 5th or 6th birthday. It looked like a white board which was approximately 14x10 inch in dimension. The screen was white and there were 5-6 buttons to operate the digital art board. A digital pen or stylus type pen was attached to it for painting. This stylus could be placed at the right side of the board. The board was similar to a middle size notebook and was light weight.I had a fascination about the toy when I first saw it at a superstore. I asked the salesman what the price was and how this can be used. He described that I can draw picture in this board, edit them, save them and reopen the saved pictures anytime I like. There was a built-in memory and the user can store up to 10 thousand drawing. The colour and pen tool makes the paintingeasy. He also told that there are some premade design and template that would help the user to draw a picture. He then added, though this would cost a bit high but it is the digital version of the painting brush, canvas and colours. At that time I was around 5-6 years old and the toy really mesmerized me. I had a hidden desire to own it one day. I dreamed to art and save so many arts and painting and save them for long. Since I had passion on painting, I thought the toy would be a perfect one for me. I told my father about my fascination of this toy and few days later he gave this toy as my birthday gift. I was so happy to have it.This toy was important to me because I have longed for it and that was a special gift from my father. I remember playing with it till I was 10-11 years old and I have painted lots of things on it. As a kid that was a fascinating and exciting toy for me.雅思口语:describe a toy you had in your childhoodMy favorite toy in my childhood is a toy dog, which is a stuffed animal my mom got me.It's fair to say, he's my only friend when I was little, 'cause I used to be extremely shy and introverted, I didn't have any human friends. And my parents were both tied up with work, so they were barely around. I always spent my time alone in my bedroom, with my toy dog.It was huge, at least it was bigger than me at that time. It's got brown fur, with a red tongue stuck out. Most of the time, I would ride on him. Actually we liked to do everything together, I didn't want to step away from him, I even held him in my arms when I went to bed and read bedtime stories to him. I could tell him anything, 'cause my secrets were safe with him. He gave me a sense of security.Unfortunately, after I attended junior high school, my mom thought that I was too old to play with soft toys, so she gave him away to my cousin. I cried really hard that day when I found out that he was gone. That toy is my best companion when I was little, and believe it or not, I still miss him a lot.语言点解析:soft toy = stuffed animal = a toy in the shape of an animal, made of cloth and filled with a soft substanceintroverted = more interested in your own thoughts and feelings than in spending time with other people 例如:His teachers perceived him as shy and introverted. She was as naturally extroverted as Paul was painfully introverted.tie somebody up = [usually passive] to keep somebody busy so that they have no time for other things例如:I'm tied up in a meeting until 3.around = present in a place; available 例如:There was more money around in those days.I knocked but there was no one around.Digital television has been around for some time now.stick out (out of something) / stick something (out of something) = to be further out than something else or come through a hole; to push something further out than something else or through a hole例如:His ears stick out.She stuck her tongue out at me.Don't stick your arm out of the car window.bedtime = the time when somebody usually goes to bed例如:It's way past your bedtime. Will you read me a bedtime story?a bedtime drinkgive something away = to give something as a gift例如:He gave away most of his money to charity.(informal) Check out the prices of our pizzas—we're virtually giving them away!companion = a person or an animal that travels with you or spends a lot of time with you例如:travelling companionsGeoff was my companion on the journey.(figurative) Fear was the hostages' constant companion.believe it or not = (informal) used to introduce information that is true but that may surprise people例如:Believe it or not, he asked me to marry him! I'd like to talk about my aunt's Teddy dog. I first saw him when I was in high school. Back then he was only a puppy. He's got brown fluffy fur, and big sparkling eyes. I fell in love with him at first sight. He's super friendly, every time I see him, he would run around me, waving his tail, licking my feet. And he would keep barking at me, wanting me to hold him in my arms. Whenever we are having dinner, he would sit beside the table, and look at us with the puppy-dog eyes. Every time I see his eyes, I just couldn't help but give him my piece of meat in my plate. He likes to play outside.
Describe a person who is your friend Who he/she is?What he/she looks like What he/she does?Explain why you like this person。
Who this person is?
I have lots of good friends. But speaking of my best friend, I think it is...

参考范⽂: The positive change that I would like to talk about is ‘I started playing outdoor games instead of playing computer games’. After I got my first personal computer when I was only 9 years old or so, I started learning many things. Besides that I started playing the computer games. As computer games are addictive I found that I was playing the games whenever I had spare times. This addiction barred me from playing outdoor games like cricket, football etc. I found myself very much attracted to the computer games and I preferred to play the games at home instead of going to open spaces or fields to participate in outdoor games that involve physical exercises. Not that computer games are all so bad, but playing them all the time someone has got is not a good thing especially for kids. I found that I was spending more times at home than being outside. After my parents noticed that, they discussed with me about that and explained me the importance of outdoor activities. They gave me strict restriction that I would only be able to play computer games for an hour daily and in the evening I’d have to go outside to play with my friends. This was obviously a very positive change for me. I’m not against computer games but I feel that if there are more important things to do, then we should not spend time on computer games only. This change affected me very positively. I became a good cricket player later on, I started maintaining my times more prudently and I am sure this change has affected me positively in terms of physical and mental health. Related cue cards: 1. Describe a change you would like to have in you. 2. Describe something you want to do in the future. 3. Describe a change you would like to have in you. 4. Talk about something you started doing lately.。

P2】Describe a time when you had to wait in a traffic jamYou should sayWhen it happenedWhere it happenedHow you passed the time while waitingAnd explain how you felt when you were in that traffic jam.The longest time I got stuck in traffic was about half a year ago. I am living in Shanghai and the traffic jams are quite very normal for people living around. So one hour traffic jams are quite average but I was stuck in a traffic jam once from 5 pm till 7pm in the heart of Xuhui District when I was on my way home. It was boring when you got stuck in the traffic jam because you got nothing interesting to do in a car. So I took out my phone and listened to music while chatted with my friends through Wechat, complaining the terrible traffic jam with them. Frankly speaking, I have never been happy in a traffic jam, it's a pain in the neck. It seems like it is taking longer every day to get to work and to go home. It is just getting worse. A year ago it took me 35 minutes to get to work and now it takes me 50 minutes to 1 hour to get to work. It wastes me a lot of time on the road. Watching other drivers in the jam and wondering what their cell phone conversations are about is also entertaining. Come to think of it, waiting is sometimes better than not waiting.During traffic, I usually talk on the cellphone, text message, play with my dog, eat a burger with fries, block my dog from my burger, do some palm reading.I usually roll down the windows, turn my music up, bob my head side to side, and belt out. At least I'm entertaining to the other poor folks stuck in the jam with me.I listen to the radio, make phone calls to my girlfriend or clients or family. If it's stopped, I do news paper word puzzles.I usually channel surf the radio, comparing different traffic reports. When I get bored with that, I check out the drivers next to me and imagine what their life story is all about!I dream about the day I can leave this place, move to a city where I can buy a house for what it's truly worth and where traffic doesn't dictate your ability to get anywhere at anytime in a decent amount of time.I usually check out all the other drivers in their cars to see how they match up with the kind of car they drive. Maybe silly, but you can't very well do much else that's legal.素材库 how you felt when you were in that traffic jam?I have never been happy in a traffic jam; it's a pain in the neck.I want to jump out of the car and walk along the tops of all the other vehicles. If I'm in a Taxi, I will worry about the taxi fare.I had a full tank of gas one time in traffic, and I was by myself, no kids, and I just sat there and relaxed and listened to my music. When there's nothing else you can do, there's the phone. It was actually nice! It doesn't bother me in the least, unless I’m trying to meet a deadline where other people are dependent upon me......I hate them if I am busy. But love them if I have time. Especially if I have a friend in the car because that's a classic time to sing loudly.I don't see much point in losing my cool over a traffic jam. I sigh, pick some music that I like out of the CD collection and either try to figure a way around the jam or wait it out.I hate traffic jam. It seems like it is taking longer very day to get to work and to go home. It is just getting worse. A year ago it took me 35 minutes to get to work and now it takes me 50 minutes to 1 hour to get to work. It is driving me nuts. I guess it is due to the construction everywhere and the city population is growing rapidly. I have seen some aggressively drivers were speeding and illegally driving the wrong way trying to get to work on time. One driver cut in front of me without turning the signal on. I was close to an accidentI absolutely HATE when this happens! O.K. that said, generally I first turn up the music and pray for something reallygood to listen to, then as I crawl along toward the next exit I think of where I am, where I'm going and whether it's worth it to get off there. I often take the alternate route. So I learned to be patient by listening to the radio, or call someone on the cell phone. Sometimes I don't turn on the radio at all and go deep in thoughts or pray.Part 31. When do traffic jams usually happen?Watch out for traffic jams - especially in the middle of the city (around Siam Square) and around peak hours (morning and evening rush hour traffic). You can be jammed up really tight and everything will come down to a crawl if not a complete stand still.Try not to take taxi during peak hour and on weekend night. You will easily be trapped for 1 hour inside a cab.2. What are the causes of traffic jams?rush hour, slow moving trucks, construction on the roads, cars with trailers, crash incidents, many pedestrians walking across a street after some sort of large meeting, bad weather, traffic lights malfunctioning, bike gangs, some sort of celebration taking place on a major road involving many vehicles and prohibiting vehicles not included in the celebration to get through, bad road planning, crime scene area prohibiting cars and pedestrians to pass by, many others.what cause traffic jams everybody leaving at the same time and heading the same directionLots and lots of cars. Lot and lots of people who sit in the traffic jams and never learn that they are a major cause and insist on taking the same jammed roads at the same damned time. Poorly designed roads allow people to do stupid things in traffic that cause accidents. Stupid people who do stupid things intraffic regardless of the road design.3. Do you think the problem of traffic congestion will be eased in the future or will it become worse?population is increasing, children are growing up to teenagers and teenagers are growing up to adults, they get older they drive. People are relying on cars too much, this problem will become more and more serious.4. What would you suggest as possible solutions to the problem of congested traffic?1. reeducate all drivers, especially PUV drivers. strictly disapprove licenses of those who will fail exams.2. make PUV drivers salaried employees, not paid based on the number of passengers.3. instill road courtesy.4. government should have an efficient flood control program.5. computerize traffic lights.6. instill discipline for both drivers and traffic enforcers.7. improve road conditions.1. Widen roads, build more skyways.2. Build more overpass/underpass for pedestrians3. Restrict buses, jeepneys and tricycles from highways or main roads.4. Strictly enforce traffic rules and regulations5. Mandatory driving tests to all driver's license applicants6. Traffic policemen should know how to drive before they are eligible to direct traffic.雅思口语高分句型有哪些雅思口语高分句型套用技巧一、定语从句经典系列① (名词或代词) is the kind of (per son/place/thing…) who(which/that) is…② (名词或代词) is a (person/ place…) who (which) gives you the impression of being…③ (名词或代词)is one of the most (形容词) (名词) I have ever seen/met/known.④ (地点名称) is a place where you can do sth.⑤ (时间名词) is a day (occasion/the time) when you do sth.
① How long have you been learning English? ② Did you learn your English well? ③ Why do you learn English? ④ What do you think is a good way to learn English?
Well, I think I’ve tried my best to learn it anyway, but I’m not sure whether I learned it well or not. That’s why I am taking IELTS examination now to get my English language level.
① What languages do you speak? ② What languages do you want to learn? Why? ③ Have you learned a second language before? What is it?
① What’s your suggestion on language learning? ② What’s the most difficult part of language learning? ③ Who can learn a foreign language better? The elderly or the young? ④ Do girls learn a foreign language more quickly than boys? ⑤ What do you think is the difference between a language and a culture? Part 2 纵观历年雅思口语考试真题,语言题目在第二部分cue card中的数量有限,反复出现的有以下几道: ① Describe another language that you would like to learn. You should say: ·what this language is ·how you would learn it ·what difficulties you think you would have (or, might have) when learning this language. And explain why you would choose to study this language. ② Describe a foreign language you want to learn (besides/except) English. ③ Describe something useful for your English learning. ④ Describe a useful way to study English. ⑤ Describe a useful tool that helps you learn other languages. ⑥ Describe something that will help you to learn foreign languages.
① Is learning a second language important? Why? ② Is it necessary to learn a foreign language? ③ What are the benefits of learning a foreign language? ④ Are there any drawbacks in learning a new language? ⑤ How do you learn a new language? ⑥ Would games be helpful to learning a foreign language? ⑦ Which language you have learned is the most useful one? ⑧ In your opinion, which languages will become more popular in the future? ⑨ Which language is important for you beside Chinese and English?
① Do you think it's important (or, a good idea) to have one main world language? (= “a universal language”) ② What would be the advantages and disadvantages of having a global language? ③ Which language could become global language? ④ Is that useful for future globalization? ⑤ Is that important to business?
