S:Hello,everyone,I am shirley,and it's truely my great honor to stand here and co-host this competition,and as we all know that the purpose of this competition is to enrich students' extracurricular-life as well as raising their interests in learning english,so hope you can enjoy yourself tonight.
R:well,since our English club started this competition in 2004,it has drawn the attention of hundreds of students all across our north campus,and has proven to be one of the most prestigious activities among the associations in our north campus;It aims to promote the English speaking atmosphere of our university and provoke students' interests in learning English,also,this is a stage for students to demonstrate their talents of speaking English,so it has been well recieved by the peoples' affection since the first time it was held.
S:Yeah,and the scale of our competition has always been expanding, And
over the past few days we've seen this competition brewing,it has attracted more than 200 hundreds from 6 academies all across our north campus,can you believe that, Richard, 200 hundred students from 6 academies!!!
R:(wow),Yeah,the past few days ,the first auditions,the preliminary and the semi-final,the contestants have given very impressive performances, and after a few rounds of very hated competition,we're going to see 10 finalists in today's grand final,so we know that today will be a very rigorous competition.
S:Yeah,a very rigorous competition,and just now,we've watched the video of the contestants,so now let's welcome all of them onto the stage to give a brief introduction of themselves.welcome!

Ok,And now,I'd like to give you an introduction of today's contest,(please look at the screen),there're 3 parts in today's competition,the prepared speech ,the talent show and the impromptu speech.(and there will be one champion,two runner-ups ,three bronze medals and four excellent awards in today's competition).And during the first section,each student will be given 3 minutes to deliver their prepared speech,and followed by a two-minute question&answer session,and during this session,they have to answer the questions raised by our question masters.and contestants,you have time limits,so please pay attention to your time.
S:Ok,during the second part,each contestant should give a talent show that is related to English or western cultures.and your time will be confined to 4 minutes.
R:And during the third part,the impromptu-speech-session,all the contestants have to pick up one topic for their impromptu speech,after that ,they have 30 seconds for their preparation and they have to think on their feet,and this is exactly what we're looking for today.

在想什么，讨论什么? In today’s show, there are 43 contestants. They come from different classes of different schools.
