Diligence makes up for the deficiency, which means that hard work can
compensate for weaknesses. To my way of thinking, diligence is of great
importance to our study and work.
Take Tong Dizhou, the famous Chinese biologist, for example. It was when
he was 17 that he attended the middle school. Poor as he was in Math, he didn’t give up, because he held the belief that diligence makes up for the
deficiency. Determined to catch up with his classmates, he got up early to
read. Only after he reviewed what he learned in the daytime did he go to bed.
At length, he became a world famous biologist. From his experience, it is
safe to say it’s diligence that really makes a difference.
In a nutshell, diligence, which can make up for the deficiency, is not
only a positive attitude towards life but also a reliable way to guide us
