一、考试情况简介

1.此项考试分为笔试和口试两种测试。笔试有A级和B级两个级别。从1998年开始举行笔试的全国统一考试。全国统一题目、同一时间考试; 全国统

一标准,各省分别批卷。每年在6月份和12月份进行两次考试。通过者由全国高职高专英语课程考试委员会颁发证书。

2.从2004年4月开始举行单独的口语考试。一般要求通过笔试A级的学生可以参加口试。

3.笔试试题的特点:从内容上看,强调英语的应用性,例如:个人简历、求学信、求职信、英语广告、产品说明书、商业信函、产品推销、厂家介绍、合同书、招标书、协议、前言、目录,等等。从形式上看,55%是主观试题,多项选择题只占45%。

4.几年来全国平均通过率在60%左右。

二、如何备考

1.准备的材料:

1)《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》(高等教育出版社)

2)《英语应用能力考试A级试题》练习册1-2本

2.应做的准备:

1)每周至少做一套模拟题。

2)每周写一篇作文。

3)每天至少听半小时的英语。

4)考试前背10篇左右的范文。

三、A级题型及做题技巧

I.Listening Comprehension (15%) 1.题型

Section A

Multiple choice according to dialogues. (5%)

常规题型。

Section B (5%)

Dialogue 1

Dialogue 2

每段对话有10句话左右,多数为实用性的。例如:电话约会、师生谈论学习、宾馆住宿、商品定购、贸易洽谈,等等。每个对话后有2 – 3个单选题。

Section C (5%)

Answer questions briefly.

1段100词左右的短文,用单词或短语

简略回答问题。每题答案不能超过3个词。

2.做题技巧:

1)充分利用时间,进行考前的扫视与预测。

2)思维与录音带同步。

3)精力集中,精神放松,保持良好的心理状态。

4)注意英、美发音的区别

1)不可为某一小题浪费时间,遇有不认识的单词,要采用排除法;

2)将选择的项目放在句中读一遍,靠

语感来判断正误。

用所给的词填空,语法题6道, 词汇题4道。

做题技巧:

1.先将全句读懂,判断所填的词在句子中的句子成分。如果作谓语,就是语法题,要考虑其时态、语态等,同时要注意时态的一致;若句子中有谓语,就是词汇题,要考虑该词所作的成分及词义,确定所填词的词性。

2.此题的答案是唯一的,错一个字母就不得分。

3.平时学习要注意构词法,掌握大纲中所要求的常用的构词前缀和后缀。前缀:agree –dis agree

Part III Reading Comprehension

(35%)

共有5篇阅读文章。

1.第1和第2个阅读题型是多项选择题,每题2分,计20分。

2.第3个阅读是写出文章的大纲,属于信息转换类型。共5道题,每题1

分。用单词或短语回答此题,每题

答案不能超过3个单词。

3.第4个阅读是匹配题,文章中给出英语短语,多数是实用方面的内容。例

如:机器操作指令、产品说明、某行

业的专用术语、学校开课的名称、体

育运动的名称,等等。在答案中给出

汉语,只需考生填上相应的英语字母

即可。此题一般有10个空,每空0.5

分,共5分。

4.第5个阅读是简答题。5个问题,每题1分。答此题的关键是简要、明确,每题的回答不超出3个单词。

Part IV Translation – from English into Chinese (20%)

翻译试题分为2个部分。第1部分是4个句子翻译,以多项选择的形式出题。每个选择都有相应的分数, 分为2分、1分、0.5分和0分,总计8分。每个选项的汉语句子都符合逻辑,

做题技巧:

因为每个选项的汉语句子都符合逻辑,所以,必须要

1.首先阅读和理解英语句子里的每个单词和短语。

2.找出英语句子中的关键词语。

3.明确英语句子的结构。

第2部分是段落翻译,实用型的短文。有4 – 5句话,计12分。

做题技巧:

1.根据上、下文去理解句意。不能字对字、词对词地翻译。

2.译完之后,自己通读一遍,检查是否通顺、是否符合逻辑。

3.按汉语习惯去翻译:1)被动译成主动;2)状语放在句首;3)代词译成名词;4)可适当增词或减词;5)词性可以转换。

Part V Writing (15%)

1.评分原则:采用总体评分方法,阅卷人员就总的印象给出奖励分,而不

是按语言的错误数目扣分。从内容和语言两个方面对作文进行综合评判。

2.评分标准:(分为5个分数段)A.2分–条理不清,语言支离破碎或大部分句子均有错误,且多数为严

重错误。

B.5分–基本切题,表达思想不清楚,连贯性差,有较多的严重语言错误。

C.8分–基本切题,有些地方表达思想不够清楚,文字勉强连贯,语言

错误相当多,其中有一些是严重错

误。

D.11分–切题,表达思想清楚,文字连贯,但有少量语言错误

E.14分–切题,表达思想清楚,文

字通顺,连贯性较好,基本上无语言

错误,仅有个别小错。

3.应注意的问题:

A.要卷面工整、字迹清楚。

B.宁可字数多,不可字数少。

C.不求高、难句型和词汇,只求句子通顺、意思完整。
