Period 5 A知识补充与练习

一、时间表达法:

1. 整点时间:“基数词+ o’clock”表示,o’clock可省略。

------What time is it ? ------It’s five.

2. 非整点时间

(1)钟点数+分钟数eg: 6:05 six five 7:55 seven fifty-five 9:30 nine thirty

注意:在这种形式中,15分钟不能用a quarter 表示,30分钟不能用half 表示。

(2)分钟数+ past/to +钟点数

如果分钟数不超过30,就用“分钟数+past + 钟点数”来表示。这时15分钟可用a quarter 表示,30分钟可用half 表示。eg: 2:15 a quarter past two 4:30 half past four

如果分钟数超过30.就用“60减去分钟数+ to + 下一个钟点数”来表示。

eg: 9:50 ten to ten 10:45 a quarter to eleven

3. 口诀:“时”在前,“分”在后,quarter, half 不能有。如果出现past 或to, 我们可要看清楚;前是“分”,后是“时”,past 或to 立中间;past加,to 是减。如果表示“几点半”,要用half past 加钟点。

二. 表示时间的介词in , on 和at 的用法。

1. on 用在具体的某日或某日的上午、下午、晚上等前。

on July 2nd on Sunday on the morning of May 1st on the morning of last Sunday

2. 用在早上、下午、晚上之前,或用在周、季、年、世纪等之前。

eg: in the afternoon in summer

3. at 用在具体时刻之前,或用在一日中的黎明、中午、黄昏、午夜之前。

eg: at six o’clock 在六点at noon 在正午

4. 如果时间词前有next , this, last, every等修饰语时,常不用介词。

三. what time与when都可用于询问时间。但what time所问的时间范围较小,一般询问比较精确的时间;而when(什么时候)所问的时间范围比what time要大,可询问小的时间点,也可询问日期。

频率副词

四. 不确定时间的副词:always(总是),often(经常),usually(通常),sometimes(有时),seldom(很少),never(从不)等,这些副词表频度,表示经常性或习惯性的行为。

在句中位置:在be动词,情态动词或助动词之后,行为动词之前。

辨析:never,always,usually与sometimes

⑴never 意为“从不;决不”:I am never late for work .

⑵always 意为“总是” “永远地”,表示动作重复或者状态持续,中间没有间断

:The sun always rises in the east and sets in the west.

⑶usually 意为“通常” “平常” ,即很少有例外

:He usually goes to bed at ten’o clock.

⑷sometimes 意为“有时候” ,表示动作偶尔发生。可以位于句首,以示强调

ep:It is sometimes hot and sometimes cold. 天气忽冷忽热。

五. be late for 意为“做……迟到”

汤姆经常上学迟到。Tom is always ____ ____ school.
