自主招生考试随着2012年的结束而悄然临近。对于各大高校而言，自主招生的考试无疑是各个高校选拔人才良好的途径，各大高校也已开始紧锣密鼓地筹备自主招生工作。对于考生而言，自招考试也是展现自身素质的机会，更能够坚实心中的梦想。
北约联盟作为自招考试高校大军中重要的组成部队，成立于2010年，共11所大学，包括了北京大学(含医学部)，北京航空航天大学，北京师范大学，厦门大学，山东大学，武汉大学，华中科技大学，中山大学，四川大学，兰州大学以及香港大学。
需要注意的是，北约11校中，2012年有3所学校单独进行了自招考试：华中科技大学对湖北、湖南、河南、江西四省考生单独招考;中山大学对广东考生单独招考;山东大学对山东考生单独招考。
试题分析：
2011年北约试题分为两卷，四个部分：一卷包括了30道单选和4篇阅读理解，每篇5道题目; 二卷包括了两篇选词填空和一篇10小题的短文改错。
2012年北约试题分为五个部分：1、完形填空，2、 5篇阅读理解，3 、一道15选10的选词填空，4、一篇15小题的短文改错，5 、5句话中译英的翻译题。
试题难度分析：
北约的题目主要侧重于阅读和完型，尤其2011年到2012年从题型的分配上可以看出，北约的考察弱化了语法，对阅读和完型题提出了“更高，更快，更强”的要求。北约题型的变化已趋于稳定，预计2013年的考题类型不会出现太大的变化。
难度上来讲，北约的考试难度略大于华约的试题，更注重考生的时事背景，其题目要求的词汇量已经达到四、六级的要求。2012年的阅读原文则来源于China Daily，https://www.doczj.com/doc/e98760429.html,，TIME，Harvard Gazette，而且均出版于2011年8月之后，题材涉及教育，环境，医疗等话题，因此北约试题具有鲜明的时效性，同时在阅读的文章和选项中，四、六级的词汇比比皆是，总体的阅读理解5篇文章的难度明显高于四级，略低于六级;完型的题目紧扣时事，议论题材突出，难度近似于大学英语四级。阅读理解的5篇和完形填空加在一起，就占到了整个英语试卷一百分里面超过及格的分数，这两部分是考试的重点。
考卷中的第三题是选词填空。这部分题目可能部分地区考生练习过。但不同的是，他并非10选10，而是15选10，而且很特殊的一点就是同一个词可以重复使用，这就要求我们的考生对词汇的掌握要清楚到位，对文章的脉络层次把握清晰。但这部分容易掌控的地方在于词汇的要求贴近高考，难度不及四级。
第四题是改错题。此类题型考查点主要在于定从和非谓语等语法点，词组搭配，时态，甚至细微到介词的用法。这类题目的难度来源于题材本身。2012年考查的是关于军事的文章，时效性很强。
最后，北约试题难度的另一方面体现在于考试时间的紧迫，数学，英语，语文三科共3.5小时，就要求考生具备较高的英语素质。
备考策略：
建议大家备考自主招生是在保证高考的大前提下，做充分的准备。备考的精力和时间分配应当视自身的能力和报考院校而定。报考北约高校的同学，在做英语复习时要侧重于阅读和完型的练习，并且应当至少对于四级的词汇有一定的把握和应用，达到一定的熟识度和敏感度;同时对于北约考题中，选词填空和短文改错这两类题型，是部分地区的考生未曾接触过的，应在考前做适当的练习和准备，避免考场上手生的情况。最后，建议考生可以选择上述具有时效性的题源文章有计划地训练自己的阅读速度和能力。
