guide. our first station is Zhenbeibu China West Film Studio, It will take us 10
minutes there,so I will introduce there briefly. Zhenbeibu China West Film Studiois
located at the northwest of Yinchuan, it’s one of the three biggest film studios in
China and the most famous film studio in western China.It is also a place for tourism,
entertainment, leisure, dining and shopping.
Visiting the “street of the old Yinchuan”, you will feel that during the 80 years,
although there is no change with the mountains, great changes took place in cities.It
shows the changes of Yinchuan in the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s to 1980s. From the aspects
of economy, culture, education and transportation
Wanxiang Bookstore is the place where the old Yinchuan people gained
knowledge, like today’s Xinhua Bookstore. Nowadays, here still retains the
characteristics of the old bookstore in the past. It sells popular picture-story books.
You can experience how reading books of people in the past is like.
In the 60's of the last century,there was many old shops in the Old Street of
Yinchuan, the temple of wealth was built to honor the "local protection god" in the
Willow Lane.
In nineteen fifties, The first light barber shop was born in Yinchuan City, the site
of it is Rainbow Hotel. In the later 40 years, light barber shop has been has been
welcomed by the public. On holidays,many peoplr would go to the barber shop for a
new haircut.

The whole mansion was also the provincial government of Ningxia. Although it
is not so large, all the functional departments were here.
Theatre was the only entertainment place in Yinchuan in the 1940s to 1950s. The
troupe of Shanxi opera “Juemin Troupe” founded by Ma Hongkui gave performance
here. The interior decoration of the Chengtian Temple Theatre is based on the ancient
teahouse in the old society of China. Seeing the tables, chairs, stools and posters on
the wall, you may feel as if you were traveling to the past. Nowadays, Chentian
Temple Theatre will give performances such as folk acrobatics, vaudeville, sitting
songs of northern Shaanxi, subparagraph of Shanxi opera, model opera,Shadow play
etc. Here you can enjoy the show with drinking tea.
When you are walking on the old street in Yinchuan, you can eat different kinds

“Moon Gate” is an important and most beautiful scene in the famous film The
Red Sorghum. It was established by film artists with adobe on the wrecked ancient
city wall. Its simple appearance has achieved immeasurable artistic value. it is the
“most beautiful scene” in the film and television industry. Many film and television
crew would like to shoot under this Moon Gate, such as Su Dongpo, , A Chinese
Odyssey, The Treasure Hunterhe

In front of us is the Hundred Flowers Hall. It was designed and built by Mr. Zhang
Xianliang for the “13th Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival”.Now,it’s
used for have meetings and perform a variety of traditional Chinese entertainment
project.
The “Street of Film and Television” is famous for that more than 100 films and
television programs were shot here. Nowadays, it has become a street of folk custom
in the Zhenbeibu Western Studios. It exhibits nearly 100 folk items. You can
experience the profound Chinese traditional culture and meanwhile better pass it
down. It is a better way for protecting the old crafts which are going to vanish.
