1. Purpose 目的

This procedure is generated to serve as an immediate guide line for the implementation of blasting and painting for piping spools in Wheatstone project at BOMESC site.

5. Responsibilities 负责人

It is overall responsibility of Project Manager to organize resources to perform blasting and painting activities as per project specification, in compliance with safety, quality & schedule requirements.

* Construction Manager 建造经理

It is the responsibility of Construction Manager that blasting and painting activities are executed according to the relevant project specifications, in compliance with safety, quality & schedule requirements.

* Painting supervisor 喷漆监督人

Painting supervisor will ensure that blasting and painting activities are conducted in line with specification requirements. Painting supervisor shall ensure that all required documents, drawings, procedures, tools and equipment are available to perform the job safely, with good quality and as per schedule.

Fitting inspection shall be executed by QC Inspector before and after Fittings are delivered to blasting workshop and painting workshop at site. QC Inspector will ensure that all work is executed according to ITP and that requirements of quality dossier are full filled.

6. Blasting and Painting Procedures 打砂和喷漆程序

6.1. Pipe Spools Lifting and Transportation 管段吊装和运输

After fit-up, splicing fabrication of pipe spools, we need to lift and transport the piping from the piping fabrication workshop to the sandblasting workshop. According to piping sizes and weight, Bomesc will use these cranes and vehicles as below: 32Ton&10Ton wireless remote control overhead crane, 50MT Auto Crane, 25MT Auto Crane, 260T SPMT, 320T SPMT, Grillage, 5T/8T Forklift, 6T Side forklift, Small flatbed trailer, We will use the above lifting and transportation equipments according to the actual situation.

Detailed steps:

Pipe spools will be lift by 32Ton or 10Ton wireless remote control overhead crane onto the grillage.

使用32吨/10吨的地控桥式起重机将管段吊到托盘上.

Mobilize the forklift or SPMT inside piping fabrication workshop and position it underneath grillage, please refer to two kinds of grillage as below.

调动叉车或是SPMT到管线车间,安置它在托盘下,参考两种托盘如下。

Raise the forklift or SPMT until legs of grillage are detached from ground inside piping fabrication workshop.

提升叉车或SPMT直到托盘腿离开地面在管线车间里.

Transfer grillage from the piping fabrication workshop to sandblasting workshop.

转移托盘从管线车间到打砂车间.

Position SPMT in the right place and lower SPMT until legs of grillage are fully contacted with ground inside sandblasting workshop.

Withdraw SPMT from sandblasting workshop

从打砂车间撤出SPMT.

Notes:

SPMT loading shall be conducted by crane operators and coordinated with certified riggers.

SPMT装载应被吊车操作员和合格的索具装配工.

The speed limit is 15 km/h for all the vehicles. Slow down over the rough road.

When the SPMT is moving, spotters in front of and behind the SPMT must inform the driver the vehicle running status and stability of the pipes all the time using hand radio till SMPT arrives sandblasting workshop safely.

There are two kinds type of grillage, one kind is used for small size pipe (<= 6”)which is transported by forklift. Another kind is used for big size pipe( 6”

6.2. Flange End Protection during Pipe Spools Sandblasting and Painting 在打砂和喷漆期间

法兰端面保护

Before pipe spools blasting and painting, We need to cover flange end by plastic protective caps so that the flange machined gasket sealant face is not damaged during pipe spools sandblasting and painting. The following are a few kinds of flange end plastic protective caps. We will use flange end cover type according to actual flange parameter.

6.3. Pipe Spools Sandblasting Application Methods and Steps 管段打砂应用方法和步骤

6.3.1 General 一般原则

Prior to start the work, subcontractor shall examine all surfaces to be painted for damages; if any found subcontractor shall inform contractor accordingly.

在开始工作前,分包商应检查所有要被喷涂的表面是否损坏,如果有,分包商将相应地通知承包商.

Check whether sandblasting line equipment operation is normal.

检查喷砂流水线设备运行是否正常。

Check whether the complete product to meet the requirements of the specification, and make records.

检查流水线喷漆泵是否正常,油漆的配比是否正确,记录产品的批号、环境状况、膜厚状况。

There are many kinds of abrasive materials, like steel grit (stainless steel grit, carbon steel grit, steel wire ) copper ore ,alumina, glass bead, carborundum, brown fused alumina, ceramics, straw and so on. Apply appropriate abrasive material (including type, size, inspection certificate) to the different coating surface, and make the corresponding record.

喷砂磨料的种类很多,如钢砂(不锈钢丸、碳钢丸、钢丝段)、铜矿砂、氧化铝、玻璃珠、碳化硅、金刚砂、棕刚玉、陶瓷、秸秆等多种类型,针对不同的涂装表面,应选用合适的磨料类型、尺寸、检查证书,并做好相应的记录。

Make sure there is no grease, weld residues or defects, sharp edges, oil and other contamination on the pipe spool, BOMESC shall apply solvent cleaning to remove oil, grease or dirt in accordance with SSPC-SP1, and make records.

确保待喷砂表面无油脂、杂物;焊缝区域无气孔、焊剂的残留或大的焊接缺陷(漏焊、咬边、焊瘤);无尖锐地边角(倒角的检查),油、脂和严重污垢需按照SSPC-SP 1做溶剂清理并做好记录.

Record during blasting weather conditions, ambient temperature, humidity, dew point, check the finish surface roughness (ISO8503-1 the provisions of the template definition of nuclear / 2 sample comparison method / 3/4 microscope focusing method touch stitch), cleanliness (ISO8502-3 pressure-sensitive adhesive tape method), the surface of the salt soluble impurities

(ISO8502-6 steel plate surface sampling analysis, the Bresle method) meet the requirements of the coating specification/coating process and record.

记录喷砂期间天气状况、环境温度、湿度、露点,检查喷砂完成的表面粗糙度(ISO8503-1样板的规定核定义/2样板比较法/3显微镜调焦法/4触针法)、清洁度(ISO8502-3压敏胶带法)、表面盐分(ISO8502-6钢板表面可溶性杂质取样分析法Bresle法)符合涂装规格书/涂装程序规定的要求并做好记录。

6.3.2 The application methods and steps 施工方法和步骤

1) Before abrasive blasting, the SUB-CONTRACTOR shall protect all gasket surfaces, valve

stems, name plates, pressure gauges, instrument cases, gauge glasses, and all previously installed and coated equipment including galvanizing. All production equipment must be adequately protected before any abrasive blasting is started. It is necessary to seal off all equipment with plastic film or other impervious cover and maintain this seal throughout the blasting and coating operation.

喷砂前,分包商保护所有垫圈表面、阀杆、名牌、压力表、仪表箱、水位计以及所有之前安装和涂装的设备包括镀锌的。在任何喷砂启动之前,所有生产设备必须被充分保护。应用塑料薄膜或其他不透水盖密封所有设备并保持其在喷砂和涂层操作中的密封性。

2) Cover the spool number by glue tape or equivalent material and cover the flange surface by

flange protective cap avoid to suffer from sandblasting damage.

3) To prevent the oil and water polluting the steel surface, oil/water trap must be fitted in the air

compressor, compressor and aft. condenser must be kept working normally, Below method shall be used to confirm the compressed air free from oil and water: Put a dry and clean white cotton in front of nozzle, if the cotton becomes wet, that means compressed air contaminated by oil or water; let the wet cotton dry a short time, if the cotton become dry to light mark, that means water inside air, if the wet areas no change, that means oil/grease inside air. This inspection must be carried out every time before blasting, and the compressed air with oil or water is unacceptable.

4) Compressor air used for abrasive blasting must be free of oil and moisture at all times. Air

receivers on compressors are not adequate moisture and oil separators. Adequate separators and traps shall be provided for supplying air to the sand pots and coating pots, and spray painting equipment.

用于喷砂和喷涂的压缩空气必须始终没有油和水分。压缩机上的储气罐不是适当的油水分离器。

为给砂罐、涂料罐和喷涂装备提供空气,足够的分离器和存水井应被提供。

5) The standard of oil/water test of compressed air shall be in accordance with ASTM4285.

6) The blasted surface prior to painting must be kept clean, dry, free from oil, and kept enough

anchors till to 1st coating application, cleanliness grade stated in ISO 8502-3.

喷(刷)漆前,按照ISO 8502-3的规定检查喷砂清理的表面应该保持干净、干燥、无油,粗糙度符合程序的要求.

7) Blasted surfaces shall be coated within a maximum period of 4 hours and/or prior to discoloring

of the prepared surface. Re-blasting shall be required in case blasted steel become black and/or yellow due to fog, rain, etc. prior to painting. Please refer to the below chart:

喷砂处理后的表面根据环境状况和湿度条件,在尽量短的时间内(最长4小时)/表面褪色之前进行涂装。若由于雾、雨等因素导致喷砂后的钢在上油漆前变黑或黄,则需要再次做喷砂处理。下图是空气相对湿度和腐蚀速率的关系.

8) A minimum air pressure of 6~8Kg at blasting nozzle is required to obtain acceptable surface

cleanliness and profile within acceptable time. And keep the compress air clean, dry, and free of

oil and water, the temperature of blasting nozzle not exceed 65℃.

喷砂需要的空气压力要保持至少6~8Kg的气压,在规定的时间内达到要求表面清洁度和粗超度,并且要保持压缩空气干净、干燥、无油无水,喷嘴温度不超过65℃。

9) Abrasive blasting shall not be performed during fog or rain, or at relative humidity above 85%,

or when the steel temperature is within 5℉(3℃) of the dew point.

在雾天、雨天、或相对湿度大于85%,或钢温度在露点温度5℉(3℃)范围内,不应进行喷砂除锈操作。(不包括有相应的保护措施的厂房或有除湿设备的环境)

10) In general, blast cleaning of raw material steel surface shall be SA2.5 or SSPC-SP10 prior to

painting. SSPC-10 means near-white metal, only have at most 5% stain of rust, mill scale etc.

通常情况下,待喷涂表面的喷砂处理应符合SA2.5 或SSPC-SP10。SSPC-10级别的要求,近白色的金属,表面允许至多不超过5%的锈迹、污点或氧化皮等。

11) Generally keep a blasting angle of 80-90°between blast nozzle and blasted surface, sweep

blast at small angle shall often be used for removing grit residues embedded inside steel roughness, and also be used for blasting preparation of galvanization and stainless steel to be coated.

通常喷砂枪嘴和喷砂表面之间应保持80-90°角度,小角度的扫砂处理一般用于清除嵌入物,在钢材粗糙面的嵌入物的残留,也用于镀锌和不锈钢涂装前的清理准备。

12) Blast equipments must meet safety requirement and earth when operation in order to emitting

static electricity.。

14) Blast cleaning shall not be performed in the same area where coating or curing of coating

surfaces is in progress.

打砂清洁将不能和喷漆或涂层修复在同一地方进行.

6.4. Pipe Spools Painting Method and Steps 管段喷漆方案和步骤

6.4.1 Transfer Blasted Pipe to Painting Workshop 转移喷砂完管线到油漆车间

Mobilize the forklift or SPMT inside sandblasting workshop and position it underneath grillage, please refer to above two kinds of grillage for details.

调动叉车或是SPMT在喷砂车间里,并定位在托盘下面,请参考上面的两种托盘详情.

Raise the forklift or SPMT until legs of grillage are detached from ground inside sandblasting workshop.

提升叉车或SPMT直到托盘腿离地.

Transfer grillage from sandblasting workshop to painting workshop.

转移托盘从打砂车间到喷漆车间.

Check for damages.

检查是否损坏.

6.4.2 General 一般原则

After blast cleaning and immediately before coating dust shall be removed with compressed air free from oil & moisture.

在打砂一结束,喷漆之前,将使用无油&无水分的压缩空气将表面的灰尘去掉.

Once surface preparation finished, stripe coat operation shall be implemented at edge, corner.

The film of coating shall be beautiful and trim and the runs and uncoated area are forbidden. 预处理完成的表面,首先要进行边、角、焊缝区域的预涂,预涂区域的漆膜成型要美观、整齐,不允许有流挂、滴溜等典型的漆病存在。

No coating shall be applied over oily, greasy, dusty, or otherwise contaminated surfaces.

Abrasive blasting is not sufficient for removing all contaminants. Contaminants must be removed before abrasive blasting with solvents, detergents, or fresh water rinsing.

涂装作业前,应清除表面的油污、灰尘和其他杂物等。喷砂法不足以去掉所有的污染物。在使用喷砂法前,应使用溶剂、清洁剂或清水清除污染物。

Coating operation shall not be permitted if the metal surface temperatures are less than 3oC above the dew point or when the relative humidity of the air is greater than 85%. Surfaces shall not be coated in rain, fog, mist.

雾天、雨天、潮湿表面,相对湿度大于85%或表面温度小于露点上3℃(5 F)时,不可以进行涂装作业。

Check with spray paint whether meet the requirements of location and variety in coating system, and record batch number of paint product ; Check spray pump ,spray hosepipe and spray gun whether it could meet with paint variety requirements of technical parameters. Check the ambient conditions (such as ventilation, away from the fire source, fruit spraying area protection, etc.) whether will meet to spray paint the requirements of the product's safety data.

检查待喷涂的油漆是否符合涂装程序中油漆配套规定的位置、品种的要求,并记录油漆产品的批号;检查喷漆泵、喷漆软管、喷枪是否能满足待喷涂的油漆品种技术参数的要求。检查周围状况(如通风状况、远离火源、果喷涂区域的保护等)是否满足待喷涂的油漆产品安全数据的要求。 No coating shall be applied to welds, if items require leak tightness test, hydrostatic test or pneumatic test without written approval.

Before and after paint application and during paint application the state of the environment in the process of monitoring, and records; The wet film card is necessary for paint operator during paint application, control the thickness of the paint and the dosage.

Arrange special personnel to care, and prevent none operation personnel (has nothing to do with the paint workers) into the operation area.

According to the parameters of the paint product and environmental conditions, to determine

the painted coating dry and thoroughly cure time, in no more than applied time interval and the absence of contaminated surface, check whether the thickness of the coating to meet the requirements of the coating procedure or coating specification.

根据油漆的技术参数并结合环境状况,确定完成喷漆的涂层表干和彻底固化时间,在不超过复涂时间间隔而且表面没有被污染的情况下,检查涂层的厚度是否满足涂装程序或涂装规格书的要求. The plot of process should be implemented according to the regulations of the ITP plan to owner or a third party inspection for all the above steps.

以上所有步骤和过程应按照ITP计划规定的情节向业主或第三方报检.

6.4.3 Application Process and Step 施工方法和步骤

1) It is necessary to check type, batch no. and amount of paint to be used out before application

every time. Put the drums of paint in order.

在每次喷涂前,需要检查油漆的种类、生产批号和数量。并将油漆桶按数量排列。

2) Certain paint might be found settling and/or depositing due to long time storage and/or

transport. So it is most important that stirring the paint to uniform prior to mixing. Induction time shall be performed after mixing base and curing agent uniformly and before painting application, this operation can also emit air from mixed paint which is introduced by stirring.。

3) Coating product shall be vigorously stirred and mixed until such time as pigments, vehicles,

and catalysts are thoroughly mixed. Coating shall be continuously stirred by mechanical spray pot mixers or other suitable means that is acceptable to the coating manufacturer.

4) Ensure paint mixed as correct proportion specified in DATA SHEET.

5) Base shall be stirred uniformly respectively before mixing together, then adding the curing

agent into mixing base according to Data sheet. Add some thinner into emptied curing agent drums to clean drums, and then pour it into stirring mixed paint. Thinner must be selected according to DATA SHEET. A measuring jar is required to ensure volume correct.
