一、教学目标

通过本级别课程的学习,应达到进入四级英语学习的水平。具体要求如下:

1.词汇:领会式掌握3550词,复用式词汇2200。具备基本构词法识别生词的能力2.阅读:精读量:21000词;泛读量:90000词。

一般阅读:70wpm;快速阅读:100wpm。

能读懂语言难度中等的一般性题材的文章,掌握基本的阅读技能。

3.听力:能听懂英语讲课以及简短会话、谈话和讲座,听懂中心意思、要点和有关细节,领会作者的观点和态度;对于语速130—150词,听两遍即可听懂。

4.写作:能在阅读与课文难度相仿的书面材料时做出笔记、回答问题和写出提纲;能就一定话题或提纲在半小时内写出100-120词的短文;能写短信和便条。表

达意思清楚,无重大语言错误。

5.口语:能进行简单的日常对话;能就教材内容作简短回答和复述;能就熟悉话题作简短发言,且意思表达清楚。

6.翻译:能翻译难度低于课文的英语文章,理解正确,译文达意,译速为每小时300英语词;能将内容熟悉的汉语译成英语,译文达意,无重大的语言错误,译速

每小时250汉字。

二、课程描述

大学英语三级的教学目的是:培养学生具有一定的阅读能力和听、说、写、译能力,使他们能较流畅地用英语交流信息。大学英语三级教学应帮助学生在二级的基础上打下扎实的语言基础,掌握良好的语言学习方法,为顺利通过四级考试以及以后更高级别的学习打好基础。同时还要帮助学生提高文化素养,以适应社会发展和经济建设的需要。

《大学英语精读》第三册,共10个单元,供一个学期使用。每一个单元包括精读文章及相关的练习,每单元均包含阅读及写作技能。《大学英语精读 3》选材做到题材广泛,体裁多样,语言规范,有利于打好语言基础。选材遵循三性原则,即趣味性,知识性,可思性,以激发学生学习英语的兴趣。选文注意经典性与时代性的融合,科普性与文学性的融合,是选文内容经得起时间考验,文字经得起反复咀嚼。

《大学英语听书教程3》每单元围绕一个话题展开,选文力求语言流畅,地道,规范;内容具有趣味性和时代气息。课程安排既提高了学生语篇水平上的听力理解能力又可帮助学生掌握多种交际功能,培养学生口头表达的能力。

三、课程性质及教学对象

《大学英语》三级的对象主要是在大学阶段已经学习并通过二级英语的学生,也就是说本课程针对于英语水平已经具备了一定的基础,需要进一步提高的学生。本课程为必修课。

本教程10单元,每4.5学时1个单元;听说教程16单元,每2学时1个单元。具体安排如下:

六、教学方法

1.教学方法的原则性建议(选择教材,指导教师教学)

1.教学模式

传统读写译课堂+听说课+第二课堂+课下自主学习

2.教学方法

读写译课堂:每单元课文为精读,语篇、结构分析,课文的文化解读,语言点和知识

点的讲解,阅读技能的讲解,相关文体的写作技能的讲解和训练。

听说课:教师主要就听力内容中的难点、重点进行讲解,并针对课文内容进行听力技巧训练。听说教程中说的内容主要在语音室完成,通过语音辨析、

单句辩义、对话、段落听力理解和听写填空等方式来训练学生的听力能

力。通过个人报告、简单的对话和角色扮演及课文讨论和问题辩论等方

式训练学生的口语表达能力。每两个单元的听力内容围绕一个话题或交

际功能展开,在教学过程中侧重培养学生的交际能力。整个过程是以学

生的活动为中心,教师起到组织和指导作用。

第二课堂:利用课下时间完成背诵、翻译、写作等三大工程任务并按时递交作业。

课下自主学习:通过光盘自学和外语部提供的新视野在线来完成课后作业和教师安排的自学内容。

2.教学措施

1.主要教学方法:以语篇教学为主,将学生置于主体地位,积极探索交际性、互动性、研讨式、虚拟现实、讨论式等多元教学方法;注重学生学习语言理念的转化和变革,使学生由语言知识获得向应用能力提高转化。努力探索信息技术带来的教学方式变革,积极利用网络平台,为教学方式和学生学习方式转化创造条件。更加注重学生听说能力的训练,培养学生语言学习的良好习惯。

2.课堂讲授主要在精读课文部分,真正作到精讲多练;每课补充阅读重点讲授阅读技,重点词和长难句翻译。

3.课外的三大工程(诵读、翻译和作文)占期末成绩的20%。

4.教师对学生自主学习情况的监测:设有专门的网络管理员每周定期值班;教师每周拿出固定时间在网上同学生进行交流,解决学生在学习中出现的问题。
