(四)梳理归纳:
1.①must 表推测肯定程度比may, migh, could 大。“准是;一定”
Eg: 你一定很饿,现在已经下午一点半了。
You must be very hungry now. It’s half past one。
(2)can 表推测用在肯定句中表理论上的可能性;用于否定句或疑问句中表示“惊异、怀疑或不相信”等意义。
Eg:她通常起得很早,不可能误火车的。
She usually gets up very early.She can’t miss the train.
Eg:吸烟有可能引起癌症。
Smoking can cause cancer.
(3)may 用在肯定句中表对现在把握不大的推测,“可能,也许”
Eg: 不要玩小刀,你可能会伤了你自己。
Don’t play with the knife .You may cut yourself .
(4)could 和might 也可表推测意义但肯定程度较低。
Eg: 小杨可能/兴许知道他的地址。
xiao Yang may /might know his address.
2.They must be making a movie .他们一定是在拍电影。
表示对现在或将来正在进行的情况进行推测用“情态动词+现在进行时”。如:
(1) At this tine , our teacher _______ ________ correcting our exam papers.这个时候,我们的老师一定在批改试卷。
(2) He ______ ______ running for exercise .他可能在跑步锻炼。
