Joe was an old man. The 75-year-old man lived very happily in a village and had a beautiful family. Joe had four grandchildren, and they often visited him during their holidays.
During one vacation, Joe was preparing his home for the kids: cleaning and buying their favorite foods. After he finished working, he realized he lost his favorite watch. The watch was a gift from his wife when their first child was bo rn. Joe loved the watch very much, especially after his wife’s death. He was very upset about losing it.
Once his grandchildren came, they promised him they would find the watch.

It is good to know that your parents will provide you a shoulder to cry on
when you meet setbacks (挫折). Would it still be welcome if your mother gave
up her job in order to be closer to you all the time?
Many parents in China have chosen to do so. They stay home to cook
healthy food and help children with their homework, reported 21st Century
Business Herald on Nov.10 and some even rent (租) a small room near
their children’s school to save them time. Such parents have got the nickname of “helicopter parents”, which means they always closely hover around their children.
