Even after all that, no one could give my disease a name and it is difficult to know what the future holds. One problem is that I don't look any different from other people. So sometimes some children in my primary school would laugh, when I got out of breath after running a short way or had to stop and rest halfway up the stairs. Sometimes, too, I was too weak to go to school so my education suffered. Every time I returned after an absence, I felt stupid because I was behind the others. My life is a lot easier at high school because my fellow students have accepted me. The few who cannot see the real person inside my body do not make me annoyed, and I just ignore them. All in all I have a good life. I am happy to have found many things I can do, like writing and computer programming. My ambition is to work for a firm that develops computer software when I grow up. Last year invented a computer football game and a big company has decided to buy it from me. I have a very busy life with no time to sit around feeling sorry for myself. As well as going to the movies and football matches with my friends, I spend a lot of time with my pets. I have two rabbits, a parrot, a tank full of fish and a tortoise. To look after my pets properly takes a lot of time but I find it worthwhile. I also have to do a lot of work, especially if I have been away for a while. 《高中英语选修7》课程纲要 课程名称:高中英语选修7 课程类型:选修课程 教学材料:人民教育出版社2007年第二版 授课时间:36-40 课时 授课教师: 课程目标 1.通过本册学习,进一步强化、扩大学生的词汇量和阅读量,培养和训练学生的学习策略,尤其是加强阅读策略的培养、指导和训练,提高学生的阅读理解能力,扩大学生的阅读量,以期帮助学生达到课标的相关要求,最终提高学生综合运用语言的能力。与此同时注重提高学生运用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力,以及用英语进行思维和表达的能力使学生的语言运用能力进一步得到提高,为今后学习奠定基础。 2.新标准增加了情感因素、学习策略以及文化意识和跨文化交际能力等方面,体现了以人为本的教育观念,培养学生的终生学习能力,培养学生健全的人格和技能发展能力,提到了教育成功的核心。一个没有打好“知识与技能”基础的学生,不可能会很好地完成“过程与方法”、“情感态度与价值观”的目标。而“过程与方法”、“情感态度与价值观”的目标是最根本的。因此,提倡学生养成良好的学习习惯,形成有效的学习策略,进而培养自主学习的能力,最终学会学习才是新课标着力点所在。 3.词汇是阅读理解的基石。扩大学生的词汇量是提高阅读能力的基础。学生在阅读理解中遇到的首要问题就是词汇障碍。没有词汇量的基础,何谈阅读能力的提高?词汇量掌握的多少在一定程度上制约着学生运用语言能力的高低,词汇量过低不但无助于减轻学生的负担,反而使学生由于可利用单词太少而难以形成一定的语言运用能力。因此,而扩大学生词汇量最有效的办法就是加大学生的阅读量。阅读量有继续加大的趋势,而且对阅读速度的要求进一步提高;在篇章信息量增加的同时,问题设项的表述信息也在增加,而且形式多样化,不仅有文字表述,而且有符号、图像、图表等;提问深入,事实理解从单句信息理解向段落综合信息理解发展。因此,不掌握3000~4000词汇很难应付高考。 4.阅读不仅是外语教学的目标之一,也是一种重要的外语学习手段。阅读是我国学生接触外语的主要途径,绝大多数学生与外语的接触是以书面形式进行的。因此,阅读在各项语言技能中占有重要的位置。作为高中英语教学重点的阅读教学,不仅要让学生学会语言知识,获取文章所提供的信息,领悟文章的文化内涵,更为重要的是要采取适当的阅读教学策略,使学生掌握阅读的方法和技能,逐步培养用英语获得信息、处理信息的能力,学会用英语进行思维和表达,分析问题和解决问题。为了实现新课标规定的阅读训练目标,教师应结合教科书中的主题补充不同体裁的课外阅读材料,指导学生适量加大课外阅读。 课程内容和教材安排:(共5个单元) Unit 1 Living Well 教材分析:本单元以残疾和残疾人的生活为话题,介绍了一些残疾人凭借顽强的毅力和社会的关爱克服生活中的种种困难,以积极的态度面对人生挑战的故事。通过本单元的学习,可以帮助残疾学生树立生活的信心,激励残疾人实现自身价值;同时又能教育健康学生理解、尊重、关心、帮助残疾人,使残疾人与健全人一样共享美好生活。 Unit 2 Robots 教材分析:本单元以机器人和科幻小说为话题,介绍了20世纪世界知名的科幻小说家Isaac Asimov写于1951的Satisfaction Guaranteed 和作者的生平。通过本单元的教学,旨在让学生了解科幻小说最大的特征在于:它赋予了“幻想”依靠科技在未来得以实现的极大可能,甚至有些“科学幻想”在多年以后,的确在科学上成为了现实。 Unit 3 Under the sea 教材分析:本单元以大自然中的海底世界为话题, 以谈论海底世界的动植物为切入点,让学生在交流中发
