Love and Time
Once upon a time there was an island where all the feelings
lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all the others,
including Love.
One day it was announced to all of the feelings that the island
was going to sink to the bottom of the ocean. So all the feelings
prepared their boats to leave .
Love was the only one that stayed. She wanted to preserve the
island paradise until the last possible moment.
When the island was almost totally under, love decided it was
time to leave.
She began looking for someone to ask for help. Just then
Richness was passing by in a grand boat. Love asked, "Richness,
can I come with you on your boat?"
Richness answered, "I'm sorry, but there is a lot of silver and
gold on my boat and there would be no room for you
anywhere."
Then Love decided to ask Vanity for help who was passing by in
a beautiful vessel. Love cried out, "Vanity, help me please!" "I
can't help you," Vanity said, "You are all wet and will damage
my beautiful boat."
Next, Love saw Sadness passing by. Love said, "Sadness, please
let me go with you."
Sadness answered, "Love, I'm sorry, but, I just need to be alone
now."
Then, Love saw Happiness. Love cried out, "Happiness, please
take me with you." But Happiness was so overjoyed that he
didn't hear Love calling to him.
Love began to cry. Then, she heard a voice say, "Come Love, I
will take you with me." It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and
overjoyed that she forgot to ask the elder his name. When they
arrived on land the elder went on his way. Love realized how
much she owed the elder.
Love then found Knowledge and asked, "Who was it that helped
me?""It was Time,' Knowledge answered. "But why did Time
help me when no one else would?"Love asked.
Knowledge smiled and with deep wisdom and sincerity,
answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how
great Love is.
A forever friend
A friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out.
Sometimes in life,
You find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life just by being part of
it.
Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe that there really is
good in the world.
Someone who convinces you that there really is an
unlocked door just waiting for you to open it.
This is Forever Friendship.
When you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty, “别人都走开的时候，朋友仍与你在一起。”
有时候在生活中，
你会找到一个特别的朋友；
他只是你生活中的一部分内容，却能改变你整个的生活。

Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that
everything is going to be okay.
And if you find such a friend,

You have a forever friend for life,

羞愧的木匠
An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer contractor of his plans to leave the
house building business and live a more leisurely life. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed
to retire. They could get by.
一位年迈的木匠准备退休了。他告诉他的老板准备离开建筑业的打算，他说他想和他的妻子过一种更休闲的生活，享受天伦之乐。他还说他会怀念这里的薪水的，但必须退休了，他的离职他们慢慢就会适应。
The contrctor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house
as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his haert was not in
his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials.
