探究点一:What do you think of talk shows?你觉得谈话节目怎么样?

What do / does sb. think of...?意为“某人觉得......如何?”,相当于 How do / does sb. like...?用来询问某人对某事(物)的看法。

如:What do you think of your new schoolbag? = _____ _____ ______ _____ your new schoolbag? What does your mother think of the scarf? = ________ ______ ______ ______ ______ the scarf?

探究点二:I don’t mind them.我不介意它们。

①mind是及物动词,意为__________,其后接_____________,一般用于否定句、疑问句或条件句中。如:I don’t mind her words. She never minded how hot it was. Do you mind me opening the book?

②Would / Do you mind sb’s / sb.(宾语)doing sth.?意为“你介意某人做某事吗?”答语若表示同意(不介意),一般用No, of course not. / No, not at all. / No, please do. / Certainly not. 若表示反对(介意),一般用Sorry, you’d better not...或I’m sorry...。

你介意我在这儿吸烟吗?不,当然不(介意)。

探究点三:Do you plan to watch the news tonight?今晚你打算看新闻吗?

①plan作动词,意为____________,其后接名称、代词或不定式结构。

常用短语有:plan to do sth.计划/打算做某事 plan on sth.打算做某事 plan for sth.规划某事

②plan还可做名词,意为“计划,打算”,常用于短语make a plan for(为......制定计划)中。

探究点四:Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world.因为我希望了解世界各地发生的事。 hope作动词,意为____________。常用于两种结构:hope to do sth.(希望做某事)和hope + that从句(希望......)。hope与wish两者都有“希望”之意,其区别是①hope指对实现某一愿望有信心、把握。wish常指难以实现或不能实现的愿望。

②hope后不能用动词不定式作宾补,而wish可以。即:

hope sb. to do sth. (×) → hope to do sth. (√) wish to do sth. (×) → wish sb. to do sth.(√)

探究点二:I like to follow the story and see what happens next. 我喜欢跟随故事情节并了解接下来要发生的事情。happen作不及物动词,意为_____________,一般指事情、事故的发生,强调事情发生的偶然性或未能预见的发生。其主语常为事,而不能是人。常用结构:①sth. + happened to sb.某人发生了某事②sth. + happened + 地点/ 时间某地/某时发生了某事

take place一般指有计划、事先安排的事情的“发生”,没有偶然性,也表示一般的“发生”。此外还有“举行”的意思。 Great changes took place in my hometown last year.

探究点三:Well, they may not be very interesting, but you can expect to learn a lot from them.哦,它们可能不是很有趣,但是你可以期待从它们中学到许多东西。expect作动词,意为________,后常接四种结构:

①expect + 名词 / 代词期待某事(物)或某人;预计......可能发生I’m expecting Li Lin’s letter.

②expect to do sth. 期待 / 预计做某事We expect to finish the work by Monday.

③expect sb. to do sth. 期望某人做某事I expect my mother to come back early.

④expect + that从句期望 / 预计......I expect that it will be all right.
