晋祠对越牌坊简称对越坊，位于太原晋祠金人台正西，立于明万历四年（1576年）。相传，明代书法家高应元的母亲患偏头痛，久治无效。后来在吕祖庙前得一签，签上写有“添砖加瓦”四个字，它的含义是只有在祠内增加些建筑，才能消灾免难。高应元在晋祠内仔细观察，发现殿、堂、楼、阁、亭、台、桥等应有尽有，唯独缺少牌坊，故决定建造一座牌坊。牌坊建在何处为宜？金人台西，献殿东的这块空地最合适。
