Insects are very useful in medicine. Believe it or not, maggot (蛆) are now used in hospitals. When a person gets a very bad injury on his body, the dead skin must be removed (除去). The fairy-tale royal (皇室的) wedding seems to reappear in the UK as Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton finally got engaged (订婚) after years of dating.
The happy couple made an engaging debut (首度亮相) at St. James Palace in London on Tuesday — just hours after announcing (宣布) their plans to marry in London in the spring or summer of 2011.
The wedding will attract one of the biggest worldwide TV audiences since the Prince of Wales married Lady Diana in 1981.
Prince William gave Kate Middleton his late mother’s ring to bring the two most "special" women in his life together.
"I thought it was quite nice because she’s not going to be around to share any of the fun and excitement of it all.
