一. 教学内容

本课内容是在单元课题“新闻制作”之下引申出来的关于新闻制作流程以及新闻工作者应该恪守的职业操守的话题。作者通过“我”(周阳)的7个提问,以周阳的领导胡新的回答为诠释,陈述了一个新闻工作者应该如何学习团队合作,如何获取准确的新闻,以及如何保护新闻免受指责。

二. 教材处理

本课是这个单元的第一课时,词汇知识为全新内容,在课前通过黄晓明与Angelababy 结婚的新闻内容,将新词串联,以此完成词汇教学。通过Skimming ,让学生快速发现文体,找出时间、地点、人物、事件,发现篇章结构,完成分段,并进行快速的文章小结。在Scanning 部分,将全文以周阳的笔记的形式呈现,按照分好的段落,对重要内容进行挖空处理,让学生获取、分析和填写信息。在对课文内容有具体的了解之后,让学生完成“七选五”练习,从而对文章整体结构有更加深刻的理解。作为课文难点,新闻行业的专业术语在“七选五”练习中被呈现,并以连线题的方式让学生进行意义匹配。

教学重点:使学生了解文章大意,理清作者思路,掌握基本阅读技巧(skimming ,scanning ),掌握篇章框架阅读的方法。

教学难点:让学生1.理解新闻专业术语的意思。2. 学会将关键词连成一句话新闻,最终实现语言输出。

四.教学设计

总体思路

本节课分为Warming Up, Pre-reading,Reading, Post Reading 四部分。Warming Up通过黄晓明与Angelababy结婚的新闻作为引入,引起学生阅读兴趣,并对该新闻进行适当改编,将本课新词融入到改编的新闻中。Pre-reading,从热身环节引出三个问题:新闻是什么?报业从业者的分工有哪些?新闻工作者应该具有什么样的品质?Reading部分首先要求学生进行Skimming,快速扫读全文,弄清文章体裁。并通过快速阅读标题和课文第一段,找出时间、人物、地点、事件,并根据周阳所提的7个问题做段落划分,并对文章做小结。紧接着Scanning的部分,要求学生快速寻读,填写周阳的笔记里所缺少的信息。随后,结合高考新题型,以一篇“七选五”的练习,对全文结构进行回顾,并对个别细节信息进行再次处理,呈现“整体观察”“瞻前顾后”“词义复现”的解题方法,并将课文涉及的行业术语作为难点在“七选五”短文中再次呈现,并以连线题的方式,要求学生匹配其含义。Post Reading的环节,扣紧单元标题“Making the news”,给学生提供真实的新闻素材,要求学生进行新闻报道,并以一则假新闻为例,引导学生关注,作为新闻从业人员,必须讲究诚信,这同时也是为人准则。在作业布置中,为学生们提供了一篇课文回顾的语法填空,以及一篇热点新闻的课外阅读。此外,要求学生完成课本28页练习,有助于对这节课的新闻专业词汇、重难点新词进行复习巩固。

五.教学过程

Warming Up:

Use the hot news about the Wedding of Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy to lead in the topic of this unit. Adapt the news report. Help students to learn new words and expressions through reading the news report.

Pre-reading:

Step 1. What is news?

Give examples to show

Step 2. What jobs are involved in making the news?

①Understand “journalist, editor, chief editor, designer, printer” by answering questions.

②Introduce the process of making the news by repeating the words of various jobs at the

newspaper office.

Reading:

Step 1. Skimming.

①Go through the whole passage to recognize the writing style of the passage.

②Skim the title and paragraph one to get the information of WHEN, WHO, WHA T,

WHERE and to find out the seven questions Zhou Yang raises.

③Using the seven questions to finish the division of the passage.

Step 2. Scanning.

①Read the passage according to the division of the passage and then fill in the blanks

about Zhou Yang’s notes.

②Go through the structure of the passage and some detailed information by doing exercise 3 --

choose one proper option for each blank from seven ones to fulfill the passage.

③Match the correct meaning with the difficult phrases.

Post reading:

Step 1. Write a piece of one-sentence news

Show the news of Tu Youyou as an example. Ask students to write another news report by offering two optional news topics.

Step 2. Summing Up

Remind students that honesty is a most important quality as a journalist and also as a man. Homework

The parts of town in which they had to live were decided by white people.The places outside the towns where they were sent to live were the poorest parts of South Africa. No one could grow food there .In fact as Nelson Mandela said:“…we were put into a position in which we had either to accept we were less important or fight the government.
