学情分析:学生在上一课Chinese festivals通过学习中国的几个传统节日,学习了表达节日所在月份,以及描述人们在不同节日里的常见活动和庆祝方式.而且在五年级上册Unit 2 (A new student)中已经学过first、second、third等序数词,对于本节课中新的序数词的学习和理解,以及讨论和表达过生日的活动语料方面有一定的帮助。
教学目标:1. 能在语境中朗读、初步理解和运用单词birthday,April,game,eleventh, eighth.2. 能通过阅读文本,观察图片,在对话语境中初步感知序数词eighth/eleventh 等的用法,初步了解英语中日期的表达方法。
