前练习写作。让学生养成用英文记笔记和写日记的习惯是经常性写作训

练的一方面。

(4) 循序渐进原则

写作的培养过程是在教师有计划的指导下写作内容循序渐进、写作能力逐步提高的过程。教学内容要由简到繁,由易到难。在语言形式上,由写短语、写句子到写短文;在训练形式上,由听写、仿写、改写到造

句、写短文;在写作体裁上,由写信、写日记、写记叙文到写描写文、

说明文、论说文。

(5)多样性原则

写作教学的内容应丰富,方法和手段应多样。文体训练要以应用文、说明文、记叙文为主,兼顾其他文体格式。在训练手段上有造句、组句、仿写、写概要、缩写、扩写、续写、翻译、提示作文等。要让学生广泛

接触与日常生活相关的各种题材,如学校生活、环境保护、文化体育、

当地景物、行为规范、实时政治等。训练指导性写作时采用多种多样的

形式,如根据短文提示填空、根据汉语说明或英文词语提示写短文、根

据图画提示写短文、看图写话或回答问题等。

1) 组词成句

将所给的一组单词按正确语序组织成句,以巩固所学语法知识、培养学生的英文词序意识和组句能力。

实例:将每组单词组成一个句法正确的句子:

1.many, hill, on, the, sheep, there, are

2.a, a, bike, motorbike, than, is cheaper, much

3.fourth, on, the, floor, lives, Jim

答案:

1. There are many sheep on the hill.

2. A bike is much cheaper than a motorbike.

(2) 填空练习

填空练习可以是在句子或短文中挖去一些内容,要求学生或填实义词或填功能词、或填单词或填短语、从句、或填基本成分或填

修饰成分;也可以是补全对话,即将一段完整的对话的某些部分省

去,要求学生根据不同人物的身份、前后对话的语境,将对话补全。

前者不仅可以帮助学生复习词汇和语法知识,熟悉句子结构,还可

以帮助学生思考英文的谋篇方式和衔接技巧,而且有助于发展学生

的分析力和想象力;后者对学生巩固所学词汇和会话中的常用句型

和表达方式很有好处。

实例:根据地图和情景完成下列对话,在空白处填上单词、词组或句子。

(3) 扩展句子或续写短文

扩展句子是让学生在一个结构完整的简单句中增补适当的修饰性、限制性或解说性成分,使句子的意思更准确、更丰富。续写短文是让学生在限定的内容或情景下发挥想象力,写出符合逻辑或因果自然的下文。

实例:根据所给故事的开篇,续写故事:

My friend Stephanie had an accident yesterday when she was returning from school. She was riding her bike on Wilson Street. She was riding behind a bus. She couldn’t see very well because it was raining.

Suddenly, a dog ran out into the road in front of the bus.……

(4) 合并句子或改写句子

合并句子是将两个以上的简单句合并为复合句或并列句,主要训练学生写出结构复杂的句子的能力。改写句子是根据特定语法项目,要求学生按一定的要求改写所给句子。句式转换练习不但用于复习、巩固所学语法项目,而且为行文句子结构多样化做了铺垫。

实例:将下面每组句子合并为一句:

1.The boy is my classmate. He came here just now.

2.Our team won the game. It made us very happy.

3.The astronauts are far away from the earth and there is no more gravity. At this time they find they are unable to stay in one place.

答案:

1. The boy who came here just now is my classmate.

2. That our team won the game made us very happy.

(5) 给句子或段落排序

给学生一组打乱的句子或段落,让其按句子或段落的逻辑顺序重新编排,以培养学生英文篇章结构的意识和能力。

实例:将下面各文段正确排序,并将序号写在方框内。

6) 汉译英

该练习是运用所学词汇、语法知识进行英语表达能力的综合性训练,可以提高学生对汉英两种语言在表达方式和句法结构上异同的意识。如:

我把从图书馆借的书丢了。

I have lost the book I borrowed from the library.

可以看出,中英文在句法结构上是不同的。英文主句用了现在完成时,从句用了一般过去时,而中文的时态概念不强;英文修饰部分用了置后的定语从句,中文的修饰词语要放在被修饰词的前面。

上文中,“可以看出,中英文在句法结构上是不同的。”在英汉互译时也可以发现句法结构的不同。英文可以译为“Now we can see the difference between the Chinese sentence structures and the English structures.”。中文省略了主语,因为作者和读者从上下文中能够知道主语是“我们”,而这里英文如果没有主语将是错句。

7) 仿写、改写和缩写

仿写是根据自己的实际情况,对自己所熟悉的范文或习作加以换词换句的修改,必要时加以润色和发挥。改写和缩写主要是通过改变人称、时间或字数要求等方式要求学生围绕原文中的关键内容对原文进行重新组织。模仿别人的文章写作是提高英语写作能力的重要途径。

实例:阅读书信,并按要求仿写一封回信。

美国女孩Amy Nathan来信想在深圳征询笔友,你决定做她的笔友。仿照上面范文用英语写一封回信,介绍你自己的情况,希望她回信。信的开头和结尾已给出,要求单词数在80个左右。回信应包括下面表格中的内容。

9)写日记或札记

坚持用英语写日记或札记是一种经常性写作练习方式,有助于学生加强记忆,复习所学内容,用所学知识表达自己的思想。日记是记录自己一天最感兴趣或最值得记录的东西。初写日记要求不必太高,只要符合格式,能够说清一件事或表达一个观点就行。长短不拘,逐渐由一两句话向完整段落篇章过渡。札记是阅读时摘记的要点以及所写的心得,写札记时尽可能不要照抄原文,而是要用自己的英语把理解的内容简要整理出来。写日记和札记的目的是有效地输出语言。日记和札记具有储存信息、组织资料、激发联想等功能,是语言内化和输出的过程。写日记和札记可以总结所学知识,提高自我认识智能,持续记录自己的思考和进步,训练写作技巧等。

交际性写作包括用英文写信、写便条、写贺卡、写墙报、写通知、写电子邮件、网上发布信息、参加网上论坛讨论等。交际性写作是激发学生写作热情、培养英文写作习惯、熟悉书面语交际策略、提高写作能力的有效途径,也是中学写作教学的终极目标。
