Story time 教学设计

一、故事素材分析:

故事根据Little Fox 儿童英语动画中的《The friendship of two lizards》改编。故事情节简单且具有教育意义,适合六年级学生阅读。它通过描述两只蜥蜴在

城市里的经历,告诉同学们: 朋友应该在困难之时互相帮助,同时告诉大家人类应该保护我们的动物朋友,与他们和谐相处。

二、教学对象分析:

1、情感分析六年级的学生对“朋友”已有自己的理解和认识,他们可以比较

容易地理解故事所要告诉我们的道理。对熟悉的话题,学生会乐于学习相关的

知识并能积极地参与到讨论之中。

2、能力分析六年级的学生已经积累了一些英语词汇,词组和句型,他们可以

根据老师的手势、表情或图画读懂简单的英语小故事。

3、知识分析六年级的学生已初步地接触过一般过去时,能理解其含义,但是

对一些动词过去式的发音比较陌生,在学习的过程中能根据上下文、图画或提

示理解其含义,能跟老师正确发音就可以了,老师不必在时态上做过多的解释。

三、教学内容:

1、学习故事,理解故事大意,掌握故事的主旨

2、词汇学习:Lizard village hurt took good care of…

brought food to…found helped

3、句型:If my friend…, I will….

四、教学目标:

1、知识目标

(1)、学习重点词组,使学生能根据所学的词组复述故事大意。

(2)、能正确运用所学句型If my friend…, I will….讨论和朋友有关的话题。

2、能力目标

(1)、培养学生良好的阅读习惯,使学生掌握一些阅读技巧,如快速阅读,掌

握故事大意;通过故事的学习和复述理解故事的主旨。

(2)、培养学生根据关键词复述故事大意的能力。

(3)、培养学生通过小组合作完成任务的能力。

3、情感目标

通过故事的学习,使学生懂得朋友应该在困难之时互相帮助,同时告诉大家

人类应该保护我们的动物朋友,与他们和谐相处。进一步扩展,通过一些具体

的事例,让学生说一说应该怎么对待自己的朋友,理解朋友真正的含义。

五、教学策略:

1、利用多媒体,将视听教学相结合,帮助学生理解故事大意;

2、提炼故事主要情节,使学生能用自己的话回答问题,并复述故事大意,提

高学生说的能力。

3、通过小组合作的活动,为学生提供运用语言的机会,培养学生的合作意识。

六、教学准备:多媒体课件,图片,单词卡片,故事材料

七、教学步骤:

Step1 Warming up (热身)

1.Greeting.

T: Good morning, everyone. My name is Sunny. Nice to meet you!

Ss: Nice to meet you, too!

T: Today, I want to be your new friend, would you like to be my friends?

Ss: Yes.

Step 2 Presentation (呈现)

T: Look at this shadow and guess. What animal is it?

(如果学生没有猜出来老师可以直接说出动物名称,并且教学生说几遍。)

T: It’s a lovely lizard. His name is Toto. Look, this is another lizard. His name is Toby. Toby and Toto were very good friends. Would you like to listen to the story about Toto and Toby? (老师边介绍边把Toto 和Toby的图片贴在黑板上)

设计意图:通过猜一猜的活动引出故事的主要人物,激发学生听故事的兴趣。

听录音回答问题)

Step 3 listen and answer questions. (

1.Introduce the story book and read some questions.

T: Look, this is the story. Please listen to the story carefully and find the answers of these questions. You can line some key words on your paper.

(1) Where did Toto and Toby live?

(2) One day, where did they go?

(3) Did the dog hurt Toby?

(4) At last, who found Toto and Toby?

2. Listen to the story.

3. Try to answer these questions.

学生一边回答问题,老师在黑板上呈现故事的主要人物及基本内容。

设计意图:让学生带着问题有目的的听故事,并且能在书中画出一些关键词,

培养学生良好的听读习惯。通过问题的回答使学生了解故事的主要情节。为下

面的学习做铺垫。

Step 4Read part3 and choose True (T) or False (F).

1. Let students read part3 by themselves.

2. Read sentences and choose.

(1) Toby went back alone to the lizard village.

(2) Toby didn’t help Toto.

(3) The boy and his father helped Toto.

先给学生一些时间,让学生自己思考以上句子是否符合故事大意,判断正误,

然后深入理解课文。

T: Toby helped Toto. Then what did Toby do?

从文中找到答案,然后请学生回答,老师在黑板上呈现词组took good care of …/ brought food to…并且进行词汇教学。

T: what did the boy and his father do?

请同学们根据图画提示找到课文中的相关信息,回答问题。

设计意图:让学生自己读课文并试着回答问题,培养学生自主学习的能力;学

习新词等活动使学生更深入地理解故事的细节,掌握叙述故事的主要词组,为

复述故事做好准备。

Step5 Retell the story.

1. Point and Read words.

Lizard village, city, found, took care of… brought food to…

2. Retell the story. (老师引导全班学生进行故事复述)

设计意图:让学生根据所学的词组复述故事的大意,培养学生复述故事的能力。Step 6 Summary of the story

1. Think about it.

T: Who is Toto’s friend in the story? Why?

2. Group work. Give the story a name.

T: Could you give a beautiful name for this story?

设计意图:总结故事,点明故事的主旨。给学生自由的学习空间,根据自己对

故事的理解给故事加一个名字,激发学生学习的兴趣,点亮学生智慧的火花。

3. Look and say.

T: Friendship is everywhere. Can you feel it?

Friendship is between people and people.

Friendship is between animals and animals.

Friendship is between people and animals.

What should we do for our friends?

Step7 Group work. 小组活动

(1) 老师先作示范,然后每个小组选择一个题目进行讨论。

T: I have many good friends, if my friend is unhappy, I will stay with her, sing a song for her and tell a joke for her. What will you do for your friends?

T: look, there are some topics for you. Each group chooses o ne of them and talks about them in your group. Please write down your opinions. Let’s begin.

老师可以做指导。

Topics:

If my friend is ill(生病), I will…

If my friend is sad, I will…

If my friend has birthday party, I will…

If my friend can’t speak English very well, I will…

If I find an injured(受伤的) dog on the road, I will…

(2) 每组选几个人汇报。

设计意图:通过小组合作的方式,让学生大胆的表述自己是如何对待朋友的,

提高学生运用语言的能力。

Step8 Summary欣赏和朋友有关的谚语或句子,升华主题。

T: We have talked about friends and friendship today. Now le t’s share some sentences about friends together.

A life without a friend is a life without a sun.

人生在世无朋友,犹如生活无太阳

T: I hope we can make more and more good friends to make our life better and better.

Homework

Tell the story to your good friends.
