《商务英语函电》课程标准

一、课程名称:商务英语函电

二、对象:三年制中职商务英语与国际贸易专业学生

三、课程性质

本课程属于国际贸易/商务英语专业的一门核心课程,本课程旨在培养学生掌握商务英语函电的基本知识,并能熟练地加以运用,是经贸英语专业学生从事外经、外贸行业必须具备的职业技能。课程讲授外贸常用文体的基本知识,包括各类商务书信和电传、传真的格式、常用语句、常用术语及拟写技巧。通过对外贸易业务磋商过程中各个环节往来函电实例的学习,熟悉、掌握外贸业务磋商各个环节——建立业务关系、资信调查、询盘与回复、报盘与还盘、定单、合同、支付、包装、运输、保险、申诉与理赔等的常用表达及写作技巧,并能在实际应用中熟练使用。主要任务是培养学生在走上工作岗位后能够迅速适应对外经贸业务活动的需要,帮助他们系统地学习和掌握外贸英语函电撰写的基本技能包括格式、专业词汇、行文方法与文体特点,提高学生在外贸业务活动中正确地使用英语的能力,以及对外进行各项国际贸易实务实际工作能力。

四、设计思路

该课程的总体设计思路是:以工作任务为中心组织课程内容,并让学生在完成具体项目的过程中学会完成相应工作任务,并构建相关理论知识,发展职业能力。课程内容突出对学生职业能力的训练,理论知识的选取紧紧围绕工作任务完成的需要来进行,同时又充分考虑了高等职业教育对理论知识学习的需要,并融合了相关职业资格证书对知识、技能和态度的要求。

本课程教学内容改革借鉴“项目教学”的理念和原则,强调以工作任务为依托组织教学内容,以学生为主体开展教学活动。

课程结构单元化、模块化。所谓模块化的课程结构,就是把教学内容根据知识点、能力点及体系内涵等要求编排成相对独立的单元。教学内容案例化、实训化。坚持理论以“实用为主、够用为度”的原则,调整课程教学内容。

教师在课堂教学组织中,应该从传统的“以教师为中心”转变为“以学生为中心”,充分发挥学生的自主性,运用案例、讨论等教学形式,鼓励学生独立思考,激发学习的主动性,引导学生参与课堂教学,发挥学生在学习过程中的主体作用。

该门课程的总学时为64课时,4个学分。

五、课程目标

(一)知识教学目标

1.初步掌握1000个左右的商务函电常用词汇。

2.了解商务函电常用短语、术语、习惯用语和习惯表达方式。

(二)能力培养目标

1.能正确理解外商来函并译成通顺、具有专业特点的汉语。

2.能用正确的格式和语言文字撰写各业务环节的简单英文信函。

3.能正确理解、翻译一般的英文合同、协议。

(三)思想教育目标

1.能自觉贯彻执行我国对外经贸方针政策。

2.具有开拓创新的精神和良好的职业道德。

七、实施建议

(一)教材编写建议

对商务英语函电教材的建设,主要两个方面:一是文字主教材,科学、系统、完整地阐述商务英语函电的基本理论与方法,起到传授理论知识、方法和指导自学的作用;二是文字辅导教材,主要是与主教材配套的各章重点、难点解析及综合练习题、参考答案;

(二)教学建议

1.本课程要求学生具有相当于国家公共英语等级考试(PETSII)的英语基础并已修完本专业相关课程。

2.该课程与《国际贸易实务》课程有非常密切的联系,它们之间有相辅相成的关系。通过学习《国际贸易实务》课程,学生可以更好地掌握它。

3.本课程要求突出实践性教学特点,“精讲多练”。可采取“理解→记忆→模仿→活用”的实践步骤。由于外贸函电是集外贸英语和外贸知识为一体的课程,因此,在教学中还要根据不同单元的具体情况,结合实际案例进行讲解,使学生学有所用,同时对外贸中的风险有所认识。

4.要在讲授词汇、句型的基础上,突出信函结构及写作技巧的讲解,体现商务信函“清楚、简洁、礼貌”三项基本要求。

5.商务信函作为书面语言,应突出中、英互译的训练。英译中要合乎汉语规范,正确使用汉语经贸术语。中译英要合乎商业英语的习惯表达方式。

6.课文的讲解一般应辅以业务背景介绍,以便帮助学生加深对课文的理解。串讲课文的方式一般应采用意译法,并应尽量使用学生已学过的词汇和表达方式,以便使学生温故而知新。

(三)教学评价

学生学业评价的原则:尊重学生主体地位、促进学生的全面发展、尊重学生的个体差异、指导学生的发展方向、激发学生内在评价。考试采用笔试,应能够体现对学生技能的考核,试卷分为理论及实践操作两部分。理论考试部分主要采用客观题的题型,包括填空、选择、英译汉和汉译英等形式;实践部分主要采用主观题的题型,包括分析和写作两种形式。成绩构成:平时30%+期中30%+期末40%

(四)课程资源的开发与利用建议

1.开发本课程相关教辅材料、项目式教材、网络资源、仿真软件等,使教学内容从单一化向多元化转变,拓展学生的知识和能力。

2.充分利用万方数据库、超星电子图书、清华同方“中国期刊全文数据库”等多种数字化网络资源,为课程的教与学提供了丰富的资源。

3.开发商务实训中心,将教学与培训、教学与实训相结合,培养学生综合职业能力。八、说明

The aim of making enquiries is to get information about the goods to be ordered, such as the price, catalogue, delivery time and other terms. 2. In making enquiries, you must consider carefully to which regions the enquiries are to be sent and how many suppliers are to be approached in one and the same region, because some regions do not supply the goods enquired for. A “First Enquiry”is an enquiry sent to a prospective supplier whom we have not previously dealt with. In such a letter, we should begin by telling the addressee how we obtained his name. Then, we may give some details of our own business such as the kind of goods handled, quantities needed, usual terms of trade and any other necessary information. Thirdly, we may ask questions or make requests directly and specifically, to enable the supplier to decide what he can do for us. Finally, conclude by extending thanks and expressing the hope of getting an immediate reply. 6. The answers to enquires should be prompt, courteous and cover all the information asked for. 7.
