Learning Goals
Learn and use the words and phrases: achievement,thick, include, freezing, condition, succeed, achieve, force, narure, ocean .Learn some geography knowledge using t he drills “What’s the highest mountain in the world? Which is the deepest salt lake in the world? It’s…….meters long/wide/high”,.And learn the spirit of the climbers,we should never give up trying to achieve our dreams. Teaching procedures:
Step One: Review
Let the students look at the pictures and the words to make a free talk like this:
A: Did you tour to the Great Wall?
B: Yes/No……
A: Do you know how long the Great Wall is?
B: It’s about 8850 kilometers long. The parts from the Ming Dymasty. A: Why did the ancient emperors build the wall?
B: The main reason was to protect their part of the country
A: Is Badaling part of the Ming Great Wall?
B: Yes, it’s the most famous part.
【设计意图】此环节是让学生在图片的帮助下,更直观地复习上一节课的重要内容,巩固基础,从而衔接下一环节。
