(4) It is required that from June 1, 2008, plastic shopping bags should be charged. Most malls and supermarkets are happy to obey the role, but still some shops ignore it. It is completely wrong. As we all know,plastic bags may fly with the wind and make the environment ugly. Worse still, animals may eat them by mistake and die. With plastic bags in the fields, crops can't grow well. Besides, burning plastic bags may pollute the air. So, trying to use fewer plastic bags is of great importance.
I think all the shops should stop offering free plastic bags. We should try to use cloth or paper bags instead of plastic ones when shopping. What's more, whenever we see plastic bags in the streets or fields, we should pick them up and put them into dustbins. If every one takes an
immediate action, we are sure to build our city into a more beautiful one.

First of all, allow me to thank you for giving me a chance to speak here. Mr Green is from Australia. He came to teach English in our school three years ago. He is easy to get along with, but he’s strict with us. All these years he’s worked hard. He’s tried his best to make his class lively and interesting. He’s helped us a lot in our Englishi studies. (6) Tigers are in danger
Tigers run very fast. They are good at hunting other animals. They usually live alone. But hunters are killing them to make money. Trees and forests are being cut down to make farmland. And there is also a lot of pollution. Tigers are losing their living areas. They even
have no enough food. As a result, their number is getting smaller and smaller. They are in great danger.
I think we should do something to help them. We can write to newspapers and magazines about these problems to make more people know the importance of protecting tigers. We can also raise money to help our government build more reserves.
(7) The Hero in My Heart
As we know, most people have heroes in their hearts. For me，Liu Xiang is the hero in my heart. He is a famous Chinese sportsman.
Liu Xiang is good at running. In 2004，he won his first Olympic gold medal in the men，s 110m hurdles event in Athens. Then, he set a world record in the same event in Lausanne.
Besides training and taking part in competitions, Liu Xiang also likes singing and he sings well. With his hard work, he is winning competitions one after another. This encourages me to study harder from now on.

As we know，most people have heroes in their hearts. For me, Dr Norman Bethune is the hero in my heart. He was a great doctor from Canada.
Dr Bethune was good at performing operations. And taking photos was his hobby. In 1938，he came to China. He opened hospitals and invented medical tools. He worked so hard that he saved thousands of Chinese people. He didn’t stop to take care of his own injured hand and died.
I am deeply moved by his stories. So I’ll work hard today and do my best to help others.
