As the saying goes, stand aloof from things which are no concern of us.Under the influence of such an attitude, many people become indifferent and selfish. But there is another saying--As long as everyone gives a little love,this world will be better. In my personal opinion, being a volunteer is a way to sow the seeds of love.
Voluntary work requires time and effort without question. However, there are also a lot of advantages. At this season last year,I was chosen as an international volunteer for Peony Festival. Our volunteers tried to make tourists feel at home in Luoyang,a strange city. No matter how hard we worked,it was all worthwhile that visitors said thanks to us. We benefited from it. For one thing, the gratification we got let us feel needed. For another,making friends with people everywhere was also enjoyable.
Voluntary work is not just for a certain group of people wearing red hats, and everyone can be a volunteer. I went to Yangzhou a few days ago. One night, because I had lost my way to the guesthouse, I asked a passer-by for help. She not only showed me the way, but also recommended good and inexpensive food to me trying to speak Mandarin. As a person who was aided I realized that volunteering can improve the lives of others. Wasn’t it a benefit?

大学生做志愿者的意义 古人云：“大学之道，在明明德，在亲民，在止于至善。”意思是说，大学的宗旨，是要发扬光明正大的品德，并应用于学习和生活当中，这才是最完美的境界。所以说，早在上千年前，古人就已经给了一个“大学生为什么要做志愿者”的答案，说通俗一点，就是要回报社会，培养新生力量。 今年暑假，由于种种原因，我选择留在了学校，成为一名志愿者。在海口市蓝天街道办二楼的综合文化站，陪这里的孩子们度过了一个充实而快乐的假期。我在这里主要就是教小朋友们练习毛笔字，学习下五子棋、象棋、军棋、围棋，打乒乓球，辅导他们写暑假作业。接下来，具体叙述一下我的几次难忘的经历。 来这里第一天的时候，小朋友们开始对我很不感兴趣，一直在做各自的事情，弄得我有些尴尬。于是为了打破僵局，我主动去找小朋友们说话，XX小朋友是那些小朋友当中唯一的男生，于是我就走过去问他的名字，看到他在练习毛笔字，我就指导他怎样握笔，手把手的教他写“一、二、三”，然后，他就一边写，一边问我写的对不对，我在一旁看着他写，时不时地教他一些写字的技巧，如：起笔规律：点、带、转，行笔规律：中锋铺毫，最后收笔规律：（1）藏锋收笔要：弹、挑、折、转。（2）露锋收笔要：弹、倾、踢。然后由于小朋友们年龄较小、注意力较为分散，不能集中精力长时间做一件事，所以在他们写了20分钟的毛笔字后，我又开始陪他们打乒乓球。这个打乒乓球，说起来真是惭愧，我打乒乓球的水平和小学生水平不相上下。然后，就一直处在一人打一球、一人捡一球的模式了。不过虽然我水平不行，小朋友和我玩的还是非常合得来的。可能是她们觉得我太菜了，所以才一直和我玩吧，要不然我要是一直老赢，也没小朋友敢和我玩了。打球打累了之后，小朋友们又拉着我和他们下五子棋，这可是关公面前耍大刀了。小朋友们执黑我执白，起初一个小朋友和我下，下了3局，我全胜，后来其他小朋友也来凑热闹，于是就变成了3个小朋友挑战我，我看他们那么努力，就马虎了2把，赢了我的小朋友那叫一个开心，我看着他们脸上的笑容，顿时也感受到了做一名志愿者的快乐，所谓赠人玫瑰，手留余香。 之后的日子里，我和他们混得越来越熟，一直帮助他们写作业，背英语单词，堆积木等等，小朋友们也很欢迎我的到来。我们一起度过了一个开心、快乐、充满意义的暑假。现在回头想来，仍觉得孩子们真是精力旺盛，聪明伶俐，学什么都快，不免觉得自己有些“老”了，当然，事实上我还是很年轻的，下学期我还可以继续利用课余时间来陪小朋友们一起成长。通过这一个月来的志愿活动，我充分认识到了我们志愿者对这个社会是很有帮助的，我们的存在也是非常有价值的，所以我也体会到了作为一名志愿者的意义。 我认为大学生做志愿者的意义有以下几点： 1、丰富心理世界。大学生作为特殊的青年群体，总体素质较高，有较强的责任心和使命感。大多数大学生都认为参与志愿服务是自己应尽的社会责任和义务，并希望能做一些有意义的事情来回报社会的培育，积极推动社会文明。志愿服务活动倡导的“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”的精神符合广大大学生的特点，满足了他们的心理需求，这也是许多大学生加入志愿者行列的最直接原因。 2、提高道德评价。当代大学生主体意识普遍较强，他们内心崇尚自我激励、完善，以构建符合当今社会主流价值观的独立、健全的人格。志愿服务活动与志
