翻译千奇百怪翻译是指把一种语言文字的意义用另一种语言文字表达出来。

因为文化的差异，在两种语言间常常出现非常搞笑的翻译，譬如德文版美国《读者文摘》的一则广告，把“百事可乐，提精养神”，译为“百事可乐，死而复活”，德国人看了摇头不止。

1977年12月，美国总统卡特访问波兰时，他的翻译把他讲话中“我希望了解你们的观点和欲望”，译成“我对你们有色欲之感”。

顿时，举世哗然。

此事，立即成为当时各报的头条花边新闻。

20世纪50年代，中苏交往中，中方有位翻译急切中把“胸有成竹”这一成语，直译成“肚皮里有根棍棒”，弄的苏方很是着急，忙问：“那为什么不急送医院？”哪怕有些兼通两种语言的名家，也可能会在翻译的时候闹出笑话。

在将中文译成外文时，由于外国人常常照字直译，往往变得驴唇不对马嘴。

如“一诺千金”，一位洋翻译就译成“只要一答应，就要付美金一千元”。

“连中三元”这句话，就译成了“三块大洋连在当中”。

有位汉学家解释“月是故乡明”说：“家乡除了月亮还光亮之外，其他一片漆黑。

”民国初年，有一位在《上海西报》工作的外国记者，中文不错。

可是，有些中国成语或引经据典的词汇，他老是摸不着头脑，有时不免糊涂。

例如，他翻译“胡适先生，驰骋文坛”这句话，就变成了“胡适先生经常在写字桌上跑马”。

美国夏威夷大学一位女教师，留学中国学习京剧多年，并把《玉堂春》剧本翻译成了英文。

谁知她把苏三的唱词“苏三离了洪洞县，将身来在大街前”的“大街”翻译成了“高速公路”；将“与我那三郎把信传”中的“三郎”，翻译成了“我的第三个丈夫。

”如此翻译，令人哑然失笑。

美国记者埃德加•斯诺是中国人民的好朋友。

他曾多次来中国访问和采访，中文不错，可以说是个中国通。

然而，埃德加•斯诺面对深奥复杂的汉语，还是常常一知半解，也闹出翻译的笑话。

上个世纪七十年代的时候，埃德加•斯诺到北京访问毛泽东。
