Frankenstein ’s Monster

Procedures:

Step1. Lead-in

Did Frankenstein create a wife for the creature?

Read part1 and you may know the answer.

Step2. While reading

1.Read part 2 and find out the words to describe the appearance of the creature.

2.

Read part2 again and find the words to describe the feelings Frankenstein has for the creature.

3. you get from the story?

Frankenstein has such feelings because of the appearance the creature has.

The creator judges his own work according to its appearance. It ’s wrong to behave like that. We can ’t judge a person according to his appearance.

The creature is just different from us. He is different. But that ’s not the reason for us to have discrimination and prejudice on him. We are born kind and equal. With less discrimination and prejudice , we will meet a wonderful world.

Module 6 War and Peace The D-Day Landings – Passage 1 In September 1939, Britain declared war on Germany after Germany invaded Poland. The war, which lasted until 1945, is known as the Second World War. During the war, Germany occupied many countries, including France. He most important battle of the war in Europe was Operation Overlord, the military operation in 1944 to invade France. Operation Overlord started when boats full of soldiers landed on the beaches of Normandy in France, known as the D-Day landings. More than 5,000 ships crossed the English Channel, carrying 130,000 troops to the French coast. Troops from the United States, Britain and Canada took part in the D-Day landings. The operation was extremely dangerous and many soldiers were killed before they even got off the boats. American soldiers attempted to land at the most dangerous place, known as Omaha Beach. The situation at Omaha Beach was so bad that the US army commanders thought about abandoning the invasion. Eventually, the soldiers made a breakthrough and the D-Day landings were successful. It was the beginning of the end of the Second World War. Operation Overlord started as a story of danger and confusion and ended

Extract from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe 《狮子、女巫与魔衣橱》节选然后,她看见前面有一道光,离它不远处可以看到魔衣橱的后面,但走起来却很远。 The Lord of the Ring 《指环王》 J·R·R托尔金的《指环王》三部曲是20世纪最著名的魔幻故事之一。

Develop you listening skills
