英文信函纠错及正确模板
我看了一些英文信改错的作业，发现其中仍有许多典型的错误未被发现并改正，但由于时间关系非常抱歉不能一一为各位详细批改。
请大家仔细研读我对这封错误百出的英文信的修改和说明。
其中的一些提示对于大家以后的英文写作与翻译，以及对相关学术规范的掌握会起一定促进作用。
请大家在期末考试中注意避免这些问题，以体现英语基本功和学术规范方面的训练。
如期末考试中频繁出现诸如此类的语法、拼写、用词、大小写、标点符号等错误或相关规范方面的错误（如书名杂志名不用斜体或加下线，MLA和APA 格式不统一，人物姓与名用反，等等），则会严重影响“学术交流英语”成绩。
请大家在复习中注意细节，也望各位在以后的学术生涯中注意相关规范。

I am appreciated if you could give me a list of their publications.

Department of p h y losophy (机构名、会议名、地名等名称中重要词字首须大写。
此外如果把“phil爱”和“soph智慧”两个词根记住，就不会像许多人那样把哲学philosophy一词的英文写错了。

（1、Professor缩写应是“Prof.”,不要丢掉f；另，无论全称还是缩写，只要是对某一教授的称谓，P均应大写，如Professor Chomsky, Prof. Wang等，在信的正文或文章中亦应如此。
2、英美人士的姓名规则是：前面的是名，即first name, given name, birth name；后面的是姓，即last name, family name, surname。
正式称呼某人时应以title加姓，如对一位名为Tom Smith 的人，正式称呼应为Prof. Smith, Dr. Smith, Mr. Smith；而家人和朋友则可以Tom相称。
除非有意幽默或讥讽，否则Tom前面是不宜加Professor，Mr.之类的称谓的。
因此上面的例子中，应称“Dear Professor Clinton”，而绝不能称其为Professor Bush；如果是这位教授的非常熟悉的朋友，则可直呼其名Bush, 此处则可为“Dear Bush”，甚或直呼“Bush”。

在MLA和APA格式的参考文献中，作者须按姓氏首字母排序，因此上条文献中逗号前的Bush是该作者的姓，逗号后面的Johnson是名）I am appreciated (这样写是意思成了自己被感谢。
应该是It is greatly appreciated或I appreciate it very much或I am grateful) if you could give me a list of their publications.

PhD是一种身份，而非称谓，不能放在姓名前面，只能放在后面，如：Tom Smith, PhD Candidate; Tom Smith, Director; Tom Smith, Associate Professor. 而Professor, Dr., Mr., Ms.等则可作为称谓放在前面。
另，注意中国人的姓名写法，如Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Li Peng。
如想明确表示出姓氏，可采取一些特别打印办法，如邓小平：“DENG Xiaoping”；“Xiaoping DENG”；“Deng, Xiaoping ”。
又如李鹏：“LI Peng”; “Peng LI ”; “Li, Peng”。
再如彭丽：“PENG Li”, “Li PENG”, “Peng, Li”。
具体规则已反复提及，不再赘述。

此外，此信的总体格式不统一，如用齐头式，则各段落间应空一行，称谓行与正文第一行及正文最后一行与落款间也需空行。
