The Libyan prime minister has been forced to step down after parliament rejected his second and final attempt to form a cabinet. Mustafa Abu Shagur was Libya’s first elected prime minister after the overthrow and killing of Mouammar Gadaffi last year. Rana Jawad reports from Tripoli.

Libya’s short left prime minister elected, Mr. Abu Shagur proposed an emergency cabinet list with a small number of ministries. He described the country as facing dangerous challenges. The latest events are likely to be seen by some as the result of party politics overshadowing the country’s need for a government to move it forward.

Because I think for the first time many people in the opposition feel as if they have a real chance of winning, a real chance of challenging Hugo Chaves and of course Chaves has many strong suppor ters who will felt it very important to try to maintain their president in power. So a lot, thanks to everybody, and overseeing that means much more likely there will be a high tu rnout.

The Turkish ministry has responded with artillery fire after a Syrian shell landed about 200m inside Turkey near a border village where 5 civilians were killed on Wednesday. Our correspondent James Reynolds visited Akcakale where the blast took place.

A car bomb has exploded near a police headquarters in the Syrian capital Damascus. At least one person was killed, several others were injured. Syrian State Television described the blast as a terrorist attack.

It's the first time a senior American official has openly acknowledged that the administration is considering providing weapons to the rebels, although no decisions have been made. The glorious mayhem of the Muppet Show as crazy bears, old codgers, chickens and, of course, Kermit the Frog first appeared together on the American television in the mid-70s with a distinctive opening theme, a situation, an unlikely vaudeville show and high-profile special guests. Now more than 30 years later, comes a film in which the Muppet gang get together once more with the help of rather 1950s couple played by Jason Segel and Amy Adams. There are plenty of jokes about the passage of time. Miss Piggy is channelling Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada for example. Some new special guests like Jack Black and big Hollywood-style musical numbers. The director James Bobin certainly knows about prestige. He made the Ali G series and Flight of the Conchords. Mohamed Nasheed remained resolute throughout repeated arrests and more than six years in prison. But when President Nasheed ordered the arrest of a top judge for corruption, he found himself forced to step down instead. He says it was a coup. "I wake up very early in the morning and go to bed very late at night now. I try to meet as many people as possible because there's a number of people who seems to want to meet and there's a fair amount of meetings and fair amount of discussion groups. So basically I'm spending quite time having conversations, I suppose."
听力文本： PC Recycler Strikes Gold in Old Computer Chips This is the VOA Special English Technology Report. Each year, Americans throw away millions of tons of electronic devices. That means business is good for a small electronics recycler in Chantilly, Virginia. Company President Jeremy Faber established PC Recycler. He spoke to us from the floor of his company's processing center. Workers were busy taking apart televisions, cell phones and computers -- anything electronic. Jeremy Faber says the flow of discarded electronics is only increasing. JEREMY FABER: "Electronics recycling is the fastest growing waste stream in the United States right now." Recycling electronic waste is not a single job. Newer devices can be rebuilt and resold. Breaking down electronics into small parts for refiners to melt and purify is another part. Operations Manager Andrew Portare says computer circuit boards are rich resources. ANDREW PORTARE: "Boards have the highest scrap value in them so you can actually see on the back you're looking at different types of metals. This one is a really good example. Some of the older ones are mainly all gold." Gold now sells for more than one thousand three hundred dollars an ounce. Twenty-five percent of PC Recycler's sales come from selling parts to refiners. Refining companies pay more than ten dollars a kilogram for computer boards. PC Recycler can also lift profits by holding metal-rich parts until prices rise. ANDREW PORTARE: "If copper's up one day, we can ship all of our copper extract and capitalize on the market." Computers also hold private or secret information. And securing that data is the fastest growing part of the recycling business. Completely removing data from a computer hard drive is not easy. PC Recycler can remove data magnetically or completely destroy and recycle the drives. Discarding waste in a way that meets government environmental protection rules is also important. Old TVs can contain over a kilogram of lead as well as cadmium --
