With the graduation day approaching, we carried on a discussion about what can be done to express our appreciation to the teachers. Some of my classmates suggested gifts, while the others believed that a good deed would be more meaningful. After careful consideration, we decided to take them both.
Last Friday, the students in my class were divided into several groups, engaged in various activities that would benefit our teachers. With the impression that a tidy office could cushion the pressure of teachers’work, one group cleaned the windows and desks in teachers’office during lunch break. And some students even decorated the office with flowers in order to make the environment more pleasant.
Another group went to great lengths to clean several cars and bikes that belonged to our teachers. I participated in the last activity during which we handed over elaborate DIY gifts together with lovely flowers to each of our teachers. All of them could hardly conceal their happiness as they opened the gift, which was a T-shirt with signatures of all the students.
That day was exhausting but unforgettable. We call on common appreciation to our teachers. And we’ll definitely do the same next year.
Our Voluntary Activity
December 5 was memorable because it was Volunteer Day and we did some meaningful work. After class we went to a nearby bus station with some buckets and our volunteer logo. Upon arrival, we began to clean the buses immediately. Some were carrying water. Some were wiping the floor of the buses. Others were cleaning the windows. After that, we tried to lead passengers to queue for getting on buses. Some even helped the old onto the bus. Before leaving we took some photos to record our voluntary activity holding a flag with the logo, which, I think, is the best explanation for our activity: try to give others a hand as much as possible.
Sunday Dec 18, 2011 Fine
It was such a lovely day today that I together with my friend went to the park to have fun.
Immediately after we arrived there, we started to roller skate. We chatted as we skated around merrily. Just then, we heard a child crying. We slowed down, slid over and saw a girl standing near the exit of the Children’s Amusement Center alone. As we soon learned, she came to the park with her mother, but got lost after playing some games. I tried to comfort and amuse her while my friend went to broadcast to find her mother. Shortly afterwards, a woman rushed towards us. Seeing her mother, the girl jumped up with joy. The mother was very happy to see her lost child and gave us a thousand thanks.
It was a fantastic day for me. I not only enjoyed myself in the park with my friend but also did my bit to help
the people in trouble.
Our spring outing
Last Thursday, we had a class meeting to discuss where to go for our spring outing. We came up with several choices such as going boating, climbing a mountain, and going to an amusement park. Finally, we decided to go mountain climbing.
The next day, we set off early in the morning. While climbing the mountain, we enjoyed the warm sunshine and a beautiful view. However, when reached the top, we were shocked to see litter here and there, such as bottles and banana peels. Then we started to pick up the litter. Afterwards, we put the rubbish into the nearby recycling bin and non-recycling bin respectively. We were tired but happy.
Last week, our class organized a spring outing. To make this memorable activity more wonderful, we discussed the destination carefully and finally decided to go mountain climbing instead of other choices like playing in an amusement park and going boating.
With high spirits, we started our spring outing on a fine day. Flowers presented us with their sweetest smiles and we were soaked up in the warm sunshine. However, we were shocked when we reached the top of the mountain, waste bottles and used packages were thrown everywhere, which totally ruined the beauty of the nature. Feeling a great pity for the tourists, we picked up the rubbish and carefully divided them into 2 groups: the recycle ones and the non-recycle ones. After that, we put the rubbish into the bin differently.
We call on awareness on protecting our environment which is of great importance. Though cleaning up the rubbish was a tough task, our hearts were filed with joy and we'll remember the thing for ever.

Green Action in Our Class
April 12 is memorable because our class had a meaningful experience on that day. In the morning, we bicycled to the suburbs to plant trees, talking and laughing all the way. Upon arrival, we began to work immediately. Some were digging holes. Some were carrying and planting young trees. Others were watering them. After getting the work done, we put up a board reminding people to protect the trees. Before leaving we took some photos to record our green action. Seeing the lines of trees, we all had a sense of achievement. We feel it’s our duty to protect and beautify our environment.
Looking for Lei Feng
Last week our class held a great activity aiming to look for Lei Feng around us. On Friday afternoon, we left after school in twos and threes, heading for the street, cameras in hand. We first came across a blood donation bus, a long line of volunteers waiting their turn to donate. Each of these donations would help make a big difference for those in need. Touched, We took pictures. Then, across the street, we noticed someone helping a blind man down the stairs. On the bus ride back to school, several children eagerly and sincerely offered their seats to an elderly lady.
A week later, we held an exhibition, presenting all the moving scenes we had photographed in the street. Seeing so many modern Lei Fengs around us who are selfless, and do not hesitate to help others, we are confident that our world will become better and better with every individual doing his part.
