一、教学目标
（一）知识与技能
1．能够在图片和语境的帮助下认读句子，并且能够以文段中的句子为范本，和同伴一起尝试编造简单的谜语。
2．检测部分要求学生能够熟练地听、说本单元对话部分的主要句型，能听、说、认读词汇部分的所有单词。
3．能够学会唱歌曲At the zoo。
4．能够在图片的帮助下理解故事内容，拓展动物词汇，理解猩猩和猴子的区别，在教师的帮助下表演故事。
（二）过程与方法
让学生在小组活动中针对不同的动物巩固本单元所学内容。
（三）情感、态度与价值观
教育学生要爱护动物。
二、教学重难点
教学重点：
1．本单元核心句型It’s … / It has … 的实际运用。
2．对Story time的理解和认读。
教学难点：
1．综合运用本单元句型。
2．Story time中动物单词的认读。
三、教学策略
Start to read是PEP教材中的新版块，主要是引导学生综合运用该单元主要句型和词汇，通过猜谜语游戏让学生充分运用语言，通过补充描述动物细化本单元内容，学生能够轻松掌握。本教材中的Story time是紧密结合各单元的主题而编写的卡通故事，它体现了新课程贴近学生日常生活、不断激发学生兴趣、培养学生文化意识等理念，具有丰富的教学价值。在教学中让学生通过“看—理解”，“听—感知”，“跟读—模仿”，“小组合作—表演”的形式学习该故事，
充分激发了学生的阅读兴趣，巩固了单元知识，培养了文化意识，拓宽了学生视野，为以后的阅读教学打下基础。
