在历年的高考英语试题中,动词是主要考查项目,占了相当大的比例,其重点是动词时态、语态、非谓语动词等。英语有16种动词时态形式,高考英语考试大纲中要求掌握的有10种。它们分别是一般现在时,一般过去时,一般将来时,现在进行时,过

去进行时,过去将来时,将来进行时,现在完成时,过去完成时及现在完成进行时。在此我就高考英语时态中的一些特殊用法做一下分析:

一、一般现在时

主要用来表示人、事物的现在状况和特点;表示经常或习惯性的动作,句子中常有often, always, from time to time 等时间状语。 He usually gets up at 7 o’clock every morning. The earth goes around the sun.

1:在时间、条件和让步状语从句中,代替一般将来时.

Do you have any problems if you are offered this job? No matter what you say, I’ll never believe you.

2:表示永恒的真理,即使出现在过去的语境中,仍用一般现在时。如:

I learned that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

3:固定的时间里发生的事情,如生日、日历、课时安排、交通时刻表等,通常用

一般现在时表示将来动作。常用动词一般是表示位置移动的动词如 come, go, leave, arrive, begin, start, take off, set off等。

My train leaves at 11 o’clock in the morning, so there is still half an hour to go.

4:在the more… the more … (越……越……) 句型中, 若主句是一般将来时, 从句通常用一般现在时。

The harder you work, the better results you will get.

二、现在进行时

表示说话时或目前一段时间内正在进行的活动: We are having English class. The house is being built these days.

1:现在进行时与频率副词always,constantly,continually,again等连用表示说话人的某种感情色彩(赞扬、厌烦、责备、埋怨等),以加强语气。 He is constantly making the same mistake. The students in class one are always working hard.

2:在时间状语或条件状语从句中表示将来正在进行的动作。Don’t ring me up when I am working in my lab this time tomorrow.

3:表示在最近按计划或安排要进行的动作(这时多有表示将来的时间状语)。常

用动词有:come, go, leave, arrive, begin, start, take off, set off等。Ladies and gentlemen, the flight is taking off. Please be seated and fasten your safety belt.

三、现在完成时

表示动作发生在过去,但其结果或影响仍存在。现在完成时有一些标志性的时间状语: 1:常见的不确定的时间状语: recently, lately ;just, already, yet, up to now; till now; so far, these days,

Has the rain stopped yet?So far this term, she has read fifty world

-famous books.

2:表示“最近几世纪/ 年/ 月以来……”时间状语中,谓语动词用现在完成时。

in the past /last+一段时间; during the last three months; for the last few centuries, through centuries等。

3:表示“第几次做某事,It/This/ That is the first/second/…time (that)…”或在“It is the best (worst, most interesting ) +名词+that”后面跟现在完成时。This is my second time that I have visited the Pyramids of Egypt.

This is the most interesting book I have ever read.

四:现在完成进行时

表示动作从过去某一时间开始一直持续到现在,并且还有可能延续下去。常用的时间状语有all the time, this week, this month, all night, all the morning, recently, since等。 I have been fixing the fridge all this morning.

1.表示动作在断断续续地重复。 You’ve been saying you can succeed for five years.

2.表示带有强烈的表扬或厌恶等感情色彩。 I have been expecting to meet you for

a long time.

五:一般过去时

表示在过去某个特定时间发生且完成的动作,或过去习惯性动作,不强调对现在的影响,只说明过去。常跟明确的过去时间连用,如:yesterday; last week; in 1945, at that time; once; during the war; before; a few days ago; when, the other day 等 1:在时间、条件和让步状语从句中,代替过去将来时。He promised to buy me a bike if he got his salary.

2:语境中的一般过去时,往往表示“刚才、刚刚,在过去”之意,暗示现在已“不再这样”。 I never thought he could finish the work ahead of time.

六:过去将来时

表示从过去某一时间看将要发生的动作或存在的状态。常用语宾语从句或间接引语中。 Last week he promised that he would come, but he hasn’t arrived until now.

七、过去进行时

表示在过去的某一事件点或时间段正在进行的动作。My sister fell while she was riding her bicycle and hurt himself.

1:故事发生的背景The wind was blowing and it was snowing hard.

2:was going to do…表原打算做…而实际上并未做…

----Tom, you didn’t come to the party last night?

---- I was going to, but I suddenly remembered I had homework to do.八、

八.过去完成时

表示过去某个时间之前已经完成的动作,即过去完成时的动作发生在“过去的过去”,句中有明显的参照动作或时间状语,这种时态从来不孤立使用。There had been 25 universities in our city up till 2005.

By the end of last term we had finished the project.

1:用于hardly/scarcely...when; no sooner ...than 句型中,主句用过去完成时,从句用一般过去时。 I had hardly finished my washing-up when he came to see me. I had no sooner got into my house than it began to rain.

2:表示“第几次做某事”,主句用过去时,从句用过去完成时。

That was the first time that he had seen his grandmother.

3:表愿望、打算一类的动词hope, expect, think, intend, mean, want, suppose, plan 用过去完成时,表示未实现的愿望、打算和意图。 I had hoped that I could get the job. I had intended to visit you but I was too busy.

九、一般将来时

表示在将来某个时间会发生的动作或情况。常和tomorrow, next year, in 2008

等表示将来的时间状语连用,其表现形式多达5种。He will finish the project next year.

1:某些表示位置移动的动词如arrive, come, go, leave, start等,用现在进行时形式表示将来。I am leaving for London next month..

2:“祈使句 + and/or + 句子”,这种结构中and后面的句子谓语用一般将来时。Work hard and you will succeed in time.

3:“am (is, are) going to + 动词原形”,表示打算要做的事或可能要发生的事。

“am (is, are) about to + 动词原形”表示按照预定计划或打算准备着手进行的动作。

“am (is, are) to + 动词原形”表示必须、必然或计划将要做的事。She is to get married next month.

十、将来进行时

表示将来某一时刻正在进行的动作,常用的时间状语有:at this time tomorrow,at seven tomorrow,at this time next year等

十一:将来完成时

表在将来某时刻之前已完成的事情,时间状语非常明显。 By+表示将来的时间,by the end of+表示将来的时间。

在时间、条件和让步状语从句中,表示在将来某个时间要做完的动作,将来完成时则由现在完成时表示。The children will help their parents do some housework the moment they have arrived back from school.

中考重点知识讲解(一)时间和条件状语从句中时态的特殊用法 时态是中考重点考察点之一,经过对全国各地中考题进行分析,我感觉对一般现在时的特殊用法(即在时间和条件状语从句中要求用一般现在时代替一般将来时来表示将来的概念)考察的频率特别高,下面我就来谈谈这个问题。 首先我们来翻译一个句子:如果明天不下雨的话,我们将参观公园。 这是一个含有条件状语从句的复合句,主句动词visit和从句动词rain根据时间状语明天的提示,本来都应该用一般将来时,但是根据上面提到的那条规则,从句中的谓语动词不能用will not rain,而应该用一般现在时doesn’t rain来表示将来,所以最后我们把这句话翻译成:We will visit the park if it doesn’t rain tomorrow. 我们再来翻译一个句子:长大后我想成为一名教师。 这是一个含有时间状语从句的复合句,主句动词be和从句动词grow up本来都应该用一般将来时,但是根据上面提到的那条规则,从句中的谓语动词不能用will grow up,而应该用一般现在时grow up来表示将来。所以这句话我们要这样翻译: I will be a teacher when I grow up. 有了上面的两个例子,有的同学可能会这样总结:在if和when后的从句应该用一般现在时表示将来。这样看问题其实不全面,因为if和when又同时可以是连接主句和宾语从句的从属连词,请看下面两个例子: I don’t know when he will come tomorrow. 我不知道他明天什么时候来。 I don’t know if he will come tomorrow. 我不知道他明天是否会来。 以上两个例子中when后引导的不是时间状语从句,而是宾语从句,因为come是说明天发生的动作,在主句用一般现在时的情况下,从句依然要用will come来表示将来的意思;if后跟的也不是条件状语从句,而是宾语从句,所以依然要用一般将来时表示将来。 说到这里,我们就知道实际中考对这一规则的考察就是要求我们能够判断if和when 后面的句子到底是宾语从句还是状语从句。那么如何进行正确的判断呢,我觉得可以从以下两个方面来考虑: 一、因为状语从句的位置可以变化,它既可以放在主句之前,也可以放在主句之后;而宾语从句的位置只能跟在主句的谓语动词之后(有时候主句的谓语部分可以是动词加介词构成,因为我们知道不及物动词加介词后,就相当于一个及物动词,可以带自己的宾语)。所以,如果我们能对if或when引导的从句的位置进行变化,那么我们就可以判断它们之后的句子是状语从句,从句中就只能用一般现在时来表示将来的概念;如果if或when引导的从句不能进行位置的变化,它们引导的就是宾语从句。 例如:We will visit the park if it doesn’t rain tomorrow. = If it doesn’t rain tomorrow, we will visit the park.(所以这个复合句中if

抓住时态教学“三要素” 汤成达 英语的动词时态这一语法现象与我们母语的语法差别较大,学起来也较乏味。如何教学这些语法,从而使学生更好、更有效地掌握它们,是经常困扰教师的问题。 在教学实践中进行了努力的尝试和探索,并依据信息加工的学习理论,总结出较为行之有效的“三要素”教学法:从“标志”信息输入着眼,经过“概念”思维加工,达成“结构”形式输出,从而使师生摆脱枯燥的时态教学,掌握动词时态的规律,形成有效的语法教学策略。 一、从“概念、结构、标志”三个方面把握动词时态 “概念、结构、标志”三个方面是学习一种时态所必须把握的,三者相互联系,相互制约,共同表述一个完整的时态含义。“概念”清楚地说明了一种时态的用法。对于概念的把握一定要全面、准确,表述严密,如对于一般现在时的用法,不能只表述为“表示经常性或习惯? 下面列举两种时态进行说明。 (一)一般现在时 1.概念:一般现在时的基本用法有四种。表示现在的状况,如Mr. Green has two children. 表示主语所具备的性格或能力,如Ann enjoys listening to the radio.
