今年的高考英语书面表达试题,大多数都有“可根据内容要点适当增加细节”或“可适当发挥”的要求,有些还专门要求考生“谈谈你的看法”或“发表个人的观点”等。在19套试题中,有5套要求适当增加细节,还有9套要求谈个人的看法或发表评论。这些都说明了高考英语“书面表达”命题不仅要求考生能够表达所给内容要点,突出对语言知识的实际应用能力,而且在某种程度上为考生提供自由发挥、自主表达的空间,体现了对考生创新能力的考查,凸现了新课改的精神,渗透了素质教育的思想。由此可见,高考英语“书面表达”命题越来越重视对创新能力、创造性思维的考查,有逐渐向开放式作文和命题作文过渡的趋势。

第二部分分类评述

一、提纲式书面表达

提纲式书面表达一般有较多的文字提示或说明,要求表达的内容要点大多数以提纲的形式给出,并且比较具体、明确。这种作文实际上等于规定了考生的表达范围,量化了写作要点,不允许考生回避任何一项写作内容。此类材料一般以说明文、记叙文和议论文为主,要求考生根据提纲说明某种情况或对某种观点发表自己的看法或见解。

二、图画式书面表达

图画式书面表达主要以图画为载体、附带少量文字提示或说明,要求考生从观察入手,通过对画面意思的理解,发挥想象能力,按照一定的要求把图画内容准确、生动地加工成书面语言。这种形式有利于培养和提高学生的观察能力、推理能力、想象能力和语言组织能力。多年来,图画式书面表达一直是高考命题的主流。

今年的高考图画式书面表达提供情景的有单幅图画、双幅图画或连环图画,均配有简洁的文字以说明图画或图片的主题或说明试题的写作要求。这些情景形式以其直观明快、内容丰富、信息量大等鲜明的特点受到考生的青睐,为考生提供了充分发挥和自由想象的空间,使大多数考生有话可写、有话能写、有话易写,这充分体现了以人为本的理念,突出了对创新意识和发散思维能力的考查。

三、表格式书面表达

表格式书面表达以表格的形式呈现文字材料,一般为一些不成句子的语言材料,类似写作提纲或内容要点提示,多数以中文形式给出,也有以中英文混合形式给出的(如上面的江苏卷)。表格式书面表达条理清晰、内容具体、要点明了,容易组织材料,便于写作。短文的主题大都出现在汉语提示中,表格中的信息是表述主题的具体内容。但是,如果只注重表格中的内容,不仅容易忽视或弄不清文章的主题,并且还会遗漏要点。

表格式书面表达在近年来的高考试题中出现频率很高。在今年的高考试题中,表格式书面表达共有5篇,包括说明文、记叙文、应用文和夹叙夹议的小短文。其中,上海、江苏、陕西、福建的书面表达题还要求考生在短文结尾处谈谈自己的看法或发表个人见解或提出建议,这属于开放式表达,给考生提供了自由发挥的空间。该部分没有或只有少量的汉语提示,要求

考生结合题目本身,写出切合实际而又不落俗套的看法、见解或建议,难度较大,但却是文章的亮点,因此,考生需要认真考虑,精心构思,写出新意,精彩收尾。

四、图表式书面表达

图表式书面表达往往给考生提供一份统计图表和简单的文字表述,让考生根据统计图表所提供的数据,结合文字提示及试题的注意事项或要求,写一篇说明一种事实或反映一种现象的短文。此类材料主要以说明文和议论文为主,内容大多是生产、销售、发展进程、社会现象等各种项目统计的图表,图表的形式有柱形图、折线图、饼状图等。图表给读者提供简洁、明快的信息,使读者能够一目了然,明白一个事实或一种现象,这种图表在日常生活中得以广泛应用,实用性较强。

图表中的数据信息往往较多,写作时不能把各种数据都写出来。首先要读懂其中的符号和数字所代表的意思。然后,从图表的整体着手,认真分析各项数据,抓住其主要特征,弄懂它们所揭示的规律,然后归纳出主题。有时,试题给出了短文的题目,等于为考生点明了主题。图表式书面表达往往让考生通过对数据进行分析、对比,最后简单地谈谈自己的看法或提出建议,这属于让考生自主发挥的部分,更是短文最精彩的部分。考生要在该部分陈述自己的看法,表明自己的观点,有时还需要提出解决问题的方案或建议。在表述观点时,可以引用人们普遍持有的观点,也可说出自己独到的见解。考生进行自主发挥,不可偏离主题,只要把观点表述清楚即可,不必作更多的解释或说明。

一、词汇是语言的建筑材料,文章写得好不好,能不能达意,都与选词有密切的关系。要选好词,

Recently a survey has been done to find out the reading interests of senior middle school students. In this survey, one thousand senior middle school students from ten schools in Hubei Province were interviewed. They were asked which they liked reading most among the four categories of English articles: news, stories, popular science articles and articles about learning methods.

The survey shows that more than half of the students like to read news most. Twenty-six percent of the students say that English stories are their favorite. Only seven percent of the students are most interested in reading articles about learning methods.
