很多美国人对有关食物的多数危险持极度歪曲、夸张的观点。马萨诸塞—阿姆赫特大学食品科学及营养系主任佛卡斯·克拉斯代尔直率地说,如果被细菌污染的鸡肉的危险像一些人认为的那样大,“大街上就会到处躺满中毒的人。”

看来只有当政府决定采取税收优惠或牺牲生产时,才会主动改变。保护人类的伟大宝库是一项最重要的责任,企业和我们对此的共识何在?如果有环境卫生专业人员到第一线来领导解决环境问题的时刻,这时刻便是现在。
