重点词汇

1.Alone/lonely

alone为形容词,意为“单独的”,只作表语,不能作定语.侧重说明独自一人,没有助手或同伴,没有感情色彩的,只表示客观的状态.

lonely意为“孤独的”,表示主观上感到孤独、寂寞,有较浓的感***彩,指因缺少朋友、同情、友谊等产生的一种悲伤和忧郁的感情.它为形容词,在句中作表语或定语.作定语时,意为“荒凉;偏僻”,多修饰表示地点的名词.

alone还可以作副词.

alone 副词adv.单独;独自

She went home alone.

她独自回家去了.

After his wife died,he lived alone.

他的妻子死后,他一个人生活.

give away

1.捐献,赠送

He gave away most of his money to charity.他把大部分金钱捐给了慈善事业.

2.颁发,分送

The mayor gave away the prizes at the school sports day.在学校运动会那天市长颁发了奖品.

3.(由于粗心)丢失、错过(机会)

They gave away their last chance of winning the match.他们错过了比赛取胜的最后机会. give sth/sb away (有意无意地)泄露

1.用尽;耗尽

2.(指引擎、发动机)停止运转;失灵

1.分发;散发

The teacher gave out the examination papers.老师分发了试卷.

2.放出;发出

The radiator is giving out a lot of heat.散热器散发着大量的热.

中广播了.

其中在表示“散发;放出(气味,热量等)的意思时,give off 和

give out 的用法是一样的,都解释为"send out or emit sth."Put off/take off/get off/ set off 4.Interest/interesting/interested

Interest做动词意思为使别人感兴趣interest sb.

Interesting 做形容词,多以物做主语,表示使别人感兴趣的

Interested 做形容词,多以人做主语,表示对。。。感兴趣的。

2.neither

neither:表示两者都不,谓语动词经常用单数;neither。。。nor的谓语选择需遵从就近原则。

表示一个事情不怎么样,另一个事情也是同样如此的句型:

He doesn’t like dancing, neither/nor do I

He can’t swim, neither/nor do I

He isn’t good at English, neither/nor do I

对此一个事情怎么样,另一个事情也是同样如此的句型:

He likes dancing, so do I

3.as soon as引导时间状语从句,遵循主将从现的原则

4.borrow/lend

borrow 对主语来说表示借进,固定搭配为borrow…from

lend相对主语来说表示借出,固定搭配为lend…to

5.in order to do用于目的状语从句,表示为了…, 否定形式为in order not to do

6.depend on: 取决于,依靠

7.take care of=look after 照看,照顾

8.provide sb with sth /provide sth for sb: 为某人提供某物

(1).温习

Look through your notes before the examination.考试前把你的笔记从头至尾看一遍。

1.[根据推理或计算]得出; 算出(n./ wh-从句)

2.想出;制订出;产生(n./ wh-从句)

进行当主语是名词时, 放中间或out后都可以(比如:work out the problem);但主语是宾格时(比如:it 、them等)必须放在中间!

(1). offer表示愿做某事或给予某物(后接of / to do sth)
