特点，把握学习规律。从教师的角度讲，新课改形势下英语教学的第一要务是必须转变观念，以实现教与学的全面改观。 一、帮助学生正确认识高中英语的学科特点 在高一开学伊始，可以在师生见面课上帮助学生分析初、高中英语的区别与联系，引导他们正确认识高中英语的学科特点。 还可以在第一次月考之后的试卷讲评课上，通过分析学生的错误试题，让他们明白：高中英语较之初中英语难学，是因为初中的教材内容丰富而有趣，篇幅短小而浅易，单词、词组、语法、句型等都较为简单。很多词组、句型即使从语法上说不出为什么，但也应该倒背如流，套用自如，在考试中得高分。而高中的英语课文篇幅长，课时少且课后的自习时间有限、词汇多，语法难且要求掌握的知识要点多，如果没有科学、合理的学科时间调配，就无法进行有效预习和复习。
二、鼓励学生养成主动参与、踊跃发言的好习惯 高中阶段是学生心理上发生重大变化的关键时期。有很多学生在初中时期比较纯真、爱表现、敢发言，但是一到高中，觉得自己长大了，上课过于积极怕被其他同学孤立，也怕回答错了丢面子，因而变得低调内向、沉默寡言。为防患于未然，我们教师必须从新生一开学就注意在班上多树典型、多鼓励表扬，积极弘扬“主动参与，展示自我风采”的班风学风。 三、践行新课改的第一要务是观念的转变 1.摆正教师角色 教师自身必须从课堂的主宰者的位置上退下来，让学习活动的主角——学生粉墨登场，大显身手。 长期以来，教师的角色基本上被定位为知识传授者，强调教师的主体作用，倡导“以教师为中心”的教育理念。现在看来，这种看法是错误的。《学会生存》

高中英语教学中的学法指导 学会学习是素质教育的重要目标之一,也是顺应时代发展的需要。今天的学生在走出校门之后要适应社会、适应时代,就必须不断学习,让学生会学是教师教学的基本功。在中学英语教学中同样必须指导学生掌握正确的学习英语的方法, 要使学法指导进行有效,必须培养学生良好的学习习惯,如制定计划课前自学、专心上课、勤记笔记、及时复习、反复练习等;充分利用教材进行学法指导,如归纳指导法对比指导法、解答说理法、启迪思维法、讨论活动法等。 要使学法指导进行得有效,必须培养学生良好的学习习惯。良好的学习习惯是学生掌握有效学习方法的前提条件和必要保证。培养学生良好学习习惯可从以下几方面做起: 一、制定计划 要学习好,首先要制定一个切实可行的学习计划,用以指导自己的学习。古人云:“凡事预则立,不预则废。”因为有计划就不会打乱仗,就可以合理安排时间,恰当分配精力。有计划就有了学习目标,也就有了学习动力和努力方向,教师要指导学生制定一个“跳一跳,才能够得着”的目标,还要让学生学会根据不同课型确定每节课或每一个单元认知小目标,让学生不断受到目标的激励,积极主动地学习,提高学习效率。 二、课前自学 课前自学是学生学好新课,取得高效率的学习成果的基础。如果不搞好课前自学,上新课时就会心中无数,不得要领,反之,如果做好了课前自学,不仅可以培养自学能力(主要是独立思考问题的能力),而且可以提高学习新课的兴趣,掌握学习的主动权。课前自学可以发现疑难、引起思考,减少听课的盲目性,增强听课效果。在学会学习的前提下,课前自学应改变仍停留在单词识记及课文阅读的程度上,我们要求学生自己查词典,自己记例句,自己用新词造句,自己找漂亮的句型、典型的表达法进行模仿,自己找句子进行诠释,自己找出课文中的难点,在充分利用课本的过程中,让学生学会英语,保证学生的课前自学程度,特别注意学生是否真正掌握了自学的方法,并进行有目的的指导。 三、专心上课 课堂是实施素质教育的渠道,上课是学生理解和掌握基础知识的舞台,并在此基础上发展认识能力的一个关键环节,要求学生始终保持高度集中的注意力,积极思维,尽量做到心到、眼到、耳到、口到、手到,积极培养有意注意,在课内有意识地识记该课生词、短语、句型、重点句子,力争在课内就把这节课最重要的学习内容记住,当堂消化。 四、勤记笔记
